Omg it’s annoying. I had a tennis USTA match, doubles, this weekend. My opponents kept yelling and saying great job. Meanwhile, I’m a boiling teapot trying to remain calm. We ended beating their asses, 7-6 6-0. The last point I let out a big ass roar and yayyyyyy, and let’s gooooo lol
this is where good coaching comes in, Hill definitely had the upper hand in terms of skill, but she should've mixed some drop shots while her opponent was 10 feet behind the baseline playing full defense, her opponent looked too comfortable sitting back there defending

Florida State player should have come to the net. You were up 40luv. Push her back and come up on at least one. Don't just play baseline if you see she gets it back. Switch up the strategy.
Dumbest ending ever. That Florida State chick completely choked and did a 180 and became a defensive player who moonballed and played it safe, can't win like that. Deserved the L. What the hell was that coach doing not telling her to stay aggressive and finish the point and stop giving the other girl free shots?
she did win though. It’s called winning ugly. if you don’t know that saying then you truly don’t know the sport. Everyone has bad days, times, moments, etc etc. but a smart player always finds a way and she did exactly that. she won ugly but she won.
I love the camera angle. It really shows you how good these players really are. In the U.S open, the camera angle looks way too slow.
