I'm five years late to this masterpiece, but I still can't get it out of my head!! The sheer feeling of tense fear and confusion I felt when I first got to 1:44 was *incredible*. Watching the beats just keep going around and around with that mysterious music before the first "X" appears and finally gives you a direction to go, using what you just learned before... Ugh, it's a feeling that I desperately wish I could recreate in other kinds of games, that tense caution and confusion over something you don't understand, until you're given a single direction to go, and that direction is built upon for the rest of the level. Massive props to the creator of this level! I can only imagine how frustrating getting everything to work properly must've been, haha
You know, this concept makes a lot of sense for a game about syncing with a sound that’s supposed to loop. I wouldn’t be upset if the entire game was like this level

I assume it's lots of trickery with multiple character rows. I know for a fact that's how the main "square" mechanic is achieved. I am unsure if it's multiple rooms or all 4 rows of a single room to do the Square effect though
