I rented this game when it first came out from Blockbuster. Usually on the back of the case it'd have hints to help you playthrough the first level (depending on how much space it would have). I swear the hints cut off before it tells you No.9 would jump from the roof when you reach the last part of the tower stage. When No.9 jumped off in front of me, I nearly passed out.

After a dozen attempts, he finally beat it and Eve immediately killed him. Not being given a chance to save after the Brahman fight is brutal, especially back then. He just rage quit and never played it again. I picked it back up about 10 years later and beat in all difficulties. I usually re-play it once or twice a year and now with the quarantine is a perfect time. About to finish my Nightmare run now. CANNOT get enough of this game.
That's cool, I like playing it in winter, even though it's not as Christmas focused as the others. I think that it's still a solid Christmas game. I'm not far from Dryfeild Neveda, truth be told.
Because sadly, Resident Evil's more popular. And this game was seen by some as a clone of Resident Evil. Particularly the gameplay style, a complete contract to Parasite Eve 1. While a lot of people didn't mind it... lotta people saw it as a "clone' and brush it off. And/or they can't get Hideaki Seno's approval for rights to the concept. Even though they continue to plug Third Birthday's outfit damn near everywhere they can.

if you weren't born in the 90s like us, don't worry, i'll find a way to remake the entire soundtrack into something that sounds like resident evil 2 remake mixed with Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem...
