It's noteworthy when a movie actually counts the bullets accurately, which should show you how few actually care about doing it right. The Way of the Gun and the John Wick movies are the first two that come to mind for me, both great movies with good gun fight action.

There are even "non-offensive" things relatively speaking that couldn't be done today that were done in movies 10 years ago let alone farther back than that. People used to be able to handle jokes or turning some things into jokes to take power away from them.

Speaking of killer clowns, if it isn't already on your suggestion list (but I hope it is), I HIGHLY recommend the movie Gingerclown (2012). It's a Hungarian horror-comedy about a Tim Curry-voiced monster who heads up an abandoned theme park with his minions Brad Dourif, Lance Henriksen, Michael Winslow, & Sean Young until their peaceful existence is infiltrated by dumb 80's teenagers. Also Tim has a pet monster dog. Unsurprisingly, it's a 2010's low-budget shlock fest that includes a neat use of practical effects. I've never watched it myself; caught it only as an On Demand offering a few years back but clicked away because I thought the trailer looked cheap, so I never even knew Tim Curry was in it at the time! But I watched a short but fun review of the movie here on YT recently and enjoyed it immensely, and since you're doing this new suggestion series, I think Gingerclown would be PERFECT for you to do a review on, Mista GG. 😉🤡

I had a friend come to town (Phoenix) and we were at a bar. She had met a couple at said bar, a hole in the wall off Apache, (If you know you know) and they wanted to take the party to their apartment in Glendale. I for one did not want to go, I was drunk and wanted some alone time *cough* but I lost that argument so I got into a vehicle with a drunk couple like the idiot I am. Not only did the driver go the wrong way down the off ramp onto the 101 giggling as she bounced around in her sports utility vehicle but she also drove down a flight of stairs in what she thought was an alley shortcut. So after this harrowing 20 minute drive into the sticks of Glendale my friend decides to pass out in my lap and my new captors bring up their favorite movie The FP. We proceeded to watch the movie, into the wee hours of the night...before restarting it and watching it again. Uber was not a thing yet and my car was on the otherside of town, my friend was out like a light and I couldn't physically wake her up. I was going nowhere. I sobered up real quick when left to fend for myself against these strangers and I can honestly say I don't remember watching this movie at all. I didn't get a wink of sleep till me and my friend got back to her hotel room at 10 AM the next day. I can comfortably say that after watching this movie twice it made no imprint on me what so ever and only remembered it existed when I saw this video. So thanks for the flashbacks!
I dunno why, but the whole "What's a town with no ducks?" thing and the post-credits shot of ducks on a lake made me gigglesnort. And the way Jason Trost played JTRO so *seriously* compared to everyone else was probably the best thing about it.

I never thought someone would talk about the FP. When I worked at local movie rental store I saw that awful piece of media. I love the music and costume design but it’s truly awful
Thats kinda the point, kinda why its a cult classic like the room. The movie wasnt made to get money it was made cause the creator and his just wanted to make a movie. It feels like friends who are actually good at making seriously horrible and seriously ridiculous lines sound straight is amazing. Im a fan of friends just making a movie for fun

I had a friend come to town (Phoenix) and we were at a bar. She had met a couple at said bar, a hole in the wall off Apache, (If you know you know) and they wanted to take the party to their apartment in Glendale. I for one did not want to go, I was drunk and wanted some alone time *cough* but I lost that argument so I got into a vehicle with a drunk couple like the idiot I am. Not only did the driver go the wrong way down the off ramp onto the 101 giggling as she bounced around in her sports utility vehicle but she also drove down a flight of stairs in what she thought was an alley shortcut. So after this harrowing 20 minute drive into the sticks of Glendale my friend decides to pass out in my lap and my new captors bring up their favorite movie The FP. We proceeded to watch the movie, into the wee hours of the night...before restarting it and watching it again. Uber was not a thing yet and my car was on the otherside of town, my friend was out like a light and I couldn't physically wake her up. I was going nowhere. I sobered up real quick when left to fend for myself against these strangers and I can honestly say I don't remember watching this movie at all. I didn't get a wink of sleep till me and my friend got back to her hotel room at 10 AM the next day. I can comfortably say that after watching this movie twice it made no imprint on me what so ever and only remembered it existed when I saw this video. So thanks for the flashbacks!

Just watched The FP because of this video and it is absolutely amazing.
I dunno why, but the whole "What's a town with no ducks?" thing and the post-credits shot of ducks on a lake made me gigglesnort. And the way Jason Trost played JTRO so *seriously* compared to everyone else was probably the best thing about it.
