Miranda is also showing respect for all of the awesome ladies that came before her to knock down the doors in country music that allows her to play her music the way that she wants to. I love that this song is basically Miranda flexing, but with humility. She's owning the fact that she's the top woman (or one of them) in country music right now, despite the industry not supporting many female artists. And even as she's saying that -- she's placing herself within the legacy of the artists before her and promising to pay it forward, to keep the flame alive, for those that come after.
