Thanks for another great video!
Wow! Thank you for your continued support, Lim! I hope that you’re enjoying the series 😁
@@TravelWithBen121 ❤️ absolutely!
We cruised to Stavanger, Bergen, Alesund and Geiranger in 2017. All were absolutely beautiful, but Geiranger is STUNNING. One of the most beautiful areas on Earth. Amazing.
I agree, Jon! Geiranger is the most beautiful!
His candid honesty is terrific!
Honesty is the best policy 💪
Norway's an incredibly beautiful country. I'm lucky enough to have been a number of times, including up to Svalbard. I also once drove the length of the Lofoten Islands, which was stunning. Beautiful white sand beaches backed by mountains, north of the Arctic Circle!
Sounds amazing, Andy! I’ve heard of Svalbard but never been! Maybe one day 😊
Absolutely amazing Ben!! Thank you for sharing!
@@davidschultz7112 cheers, David!
Great video. That waterfall (where you go behind it) looks amazing! We might have to do this hike the next time we come here! Just need the hiking backpack because I don’t think our little daughter could make that! Loved to see the views you were able to see!
The first time we came here we biked down most of those crazy roads! Cool views but not for the faint of heart!
@@lindsayslivealittle thank you, Lindsay’s! The hike is definitely do-able for small kids, no need to rush and lots of places to take breaks! And of course, amazing views all the way up. Those are steep hills so you did great to bike down! I’d love to try those small electric cars next time, looks like fun! Thank you for watching 😁
Definitely stunning - Norway. Thanks for the experience
@@helenhelen7822 it was amazing, Helen! Absolutely beautiful 🤩
Ben, Norwegian needs to reward you for your lovely words about the cruises! Despite my older brother and his wife cruising often I have never been tempted to take one myself. You have changed that! If my health was better !’d take a solo suite in a snap.cold weather cruises all the way🎉
Thanks so much, Annie! I’m just being honest about my experiences 😊 cruising is a great way to travel! Many people will never do a cold cruise but there’s many amazing places to see!
Love seeing someone else get as excited as I do when I see beauty!! I felt this way when I took a road trip around Ireland! I just couldn’t believe it😊
@@Shareebysea I was mind blown by how beautiful it was! Doesn’t even look real, Sharee 😁
This is one of my favorites. Boy it’s beautiful. I’m glad you made it back safe to ship. I still can’t get over the views. Thank you.
Thank you, Judy! 😊 One of my favourites too!
Absolutely gorgeous! I can’t even imagine what it would be like to live there . Every day seeing those beautiful mountains, the greenery and waterfalls!
I can’t imagine it either, Tanna! Beautiful part of the world 😊
It is the most beautiful place I've ever been 🤩😍
It looks even more beautiful in person, Cristalin! 🤩
What a spectacular day and place. I love your honesty and enthusiasm for life. Glad you finally love Norway.
Thank you, John! No reason to not be enthusiastic about life 😊
Ooooo… that is such a BEEEOOOOTIFUL place!!! 😱😱 Those lucky lucky 300 residents! Amazing piece of heaven on earth! Love those waterfalls… especially the huge one which you visited at the end of the exhausting trek. I’m amazed you consider yourself ‘not in shape’ 😱. You are so fit! Carrying the camera on a stick throughout must have made it even more tiring! I would love to try the little cars. Thanks for showing the food! I just love seeing the different types of stuff you try out whether it’s on- or off-shore!
A tiny piece of heaven on earth 😁 Amazingly beautiful place! The hike was great but challenging 😂 Too much food but I’m trying to walk a lot to balance it out! Sooo much food on offer, a lot of variety! A cruise is a great way to try a dish you haven’t had before or something you’re not sure if you’ll like or not! Thank you for watching early, Lim 😊
Hi Ben, just subscribed eventually|| love your vlogs, especially this one, we are going on the same cruise you did on Prima in 3 weeks with my hubby and this port blew us away and because of your vlog we want to do the same hike and be under that amazing waterfall just like you did, thank you so much for all your hard work (and eating much cake lol 🤤) keep up the good work love from Ann and Mike xx
Thank you, Ann and Mike! I’m glad you enjoyed this video 😁 I had an amazing time on the Prima and this itinerary was so great! By far one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! Enjoy your cruise and get ready for an amazing experience! 😁
This video was phenomenal!!! After all of the walking you do at the ports, you deserve that second (or third) piece of cake 🙂. The waterfalls are all amazing. They reminded us of Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland, which is known for its waterfalls. If you ever decide to visit Switzerland, you need to try to make it there.
Thank you so much, Lorraine! HAHAHA let me tell you, some days there was a fourth or fifth piece of cake 😂 you’re totally right about Lauterbrunnen, it’s very similar! I would love to visit one day 😁 thank you again for watching!
I was on the same cruise 1 year ago next week. I told people that I had visited Heaven. I took the bus tour to the top of the mountains though. Thank you for your video. Amazing.
That’s amazing, Thomas! Such a great experience! Thank you for watching 😊
Looks like a little piece of Heaven
I agree, Gerri! That’s why I was hiking, to see if it was true 😂
Wow. Wow. Wow! Couldnt believe it when you said the walk wasnt worth it. Even if you hadnt gone on to find that great view getting behind the falls, to me that walk made the day. The homes, the animals, the views, the vibe ... I love walks like that. Whatevee is at the top is just a bonus.
Abraham, the whole point of going up there was to see the waterfall 😂 it wasn’t just to hike. Like I said, the view and waterfall is just as amazing right next to the ship! I’m glad I found the ‘hidden’ waterfall 😂
Such a beautiful place. Thanks for going up to the waterfall. Loved this video so much! Thanks for always taking us along and admitting when you're wrong.😊
Thank you, Fredwina! HAHA honesty is best 😊
I really get the impression that the ship was not very crowded - not sold out or maybe it's just a really good ship design to manage crowds.
I was told on day 1 that there were 3400 passengers on this cruise but it never felt like it! It’s not a huge ship but it still never felt crowded!
A beautiful hike. I always love your attitude and honesty. Those tiny cars sure look like lots of fun. Looking forward to your next video.
Thank you, Pamela! I always try and enjoy my experiences and be honest 😊 the tiny cars look so fun! I’d love to try them next time.
I love your videos and your honesty. Keep it up!
Cheers, David!
to be able to walk that close to the waterfall is crazy. That is a beautiful location. I don't think I'd ever be able to make it up that high - so it was great to have you show it to us.
It was a challenging walk up there but it was worth it to get splashed by the waterfall 😂
Oh, I've been diving into your content recently (you can probably tell with my comments). Great to see you here - this is one of my favourite ports!
One of my favourites too! Thanks for watching 😊
It brings back fond memories. I've been to the same places as you, just with the Voyager of the Seas. It's nice to see that again. Thx for taking me with you.
Cheers, Marcel! Voyager of the Seas…. How did you like the ship? 😊 thank you for watching!
Wow , what a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing. I think you are in pretty good shape with all the walking/hiking you do. 😃
Thank you, Cathy! 😊 I’ve got to walk a lot to balance out all the eating 😂
Good morning, Ben ! lots of green , lots of winding trails and all is so beautiful ! Two things I find amazing: that such a large cruise boat could squeeze into such a small bay between mountains and how those sheep could sleep on the edges of those rocky hills? I can's do it and I would roll over all the way down ! Thanks, Ben ! Enjoy your trip !
It’s a mystery, David 😂 the water must be very deep there and the ship needs to sail into the port perfectly to fit!
@@TravelWithBen121 WELL, BEN , I HEARD THE WATER WAS 180 METERS DEEP AND IT IS AMAZING !
Wow! Thank you for sharing this beautiful place! I was in the Swiss Alps and Lauterbrunnen last March. Some of the views reminded me of there. Geiranger is definitely on my bucket list now! What a blessing to travel and see the world!
Thank you, Nancy! I just looked up Lauterbrunnen and you’re right, it looks very similar! The world is beautiful 😁
Wow! That was absolutely amazing. What a beautiful place.🌹Thanks again Ben! I love your videos ❤
Thank you for tagging along again, Terri! 😊 there are some beautiful places in the world!
Another excellent vlog! The menu split screen was a great! Glad you slowed it down as we prepare for our October 26 night Prima cruise! Thanks Ben!
Thank you, Chris! I thought that was a good way to show the menu, I don’t want to sit at the table and talk to the camera and disturb people around me! 26 days on the Prima would be amazing!
My mind was blown too. I felt like it wasn’t real!
I agree, Sheri!
Because of you and this video, I now put it on my list to go there. Thank you so much and you are just so adorable.!💕
It’s definitely a must visit if you’re lucky enough to get the chance! 😁 Thank you for watching!
Wow!
So beautiful!
We booked a cruise in Aug for the fjords. First time in Europe for me. Thank you for sharing the hike views, waterfalls and mountain goats.
That's great, Akemi! You will love it, first time to Europe too?? Amazing! Thank you for watching 😁
Yup, first time traveling to Europe.
Ben, Geiranger is a beautiful fjord. We camped at the bottom of the fjord there. In an old caravan, we went to sleep and the next morning we woke up to a huge cruise boat in front of us, strange waking up. But you have a nice cruise, we have been to Norway many times but by car, Iceland is also hugely beautiful that you have yet to see, enjoy it
Cheers, Lamot! I wondered if the people camping out knew there was a ship in port 🤣 The ship went to Iceland after Norway so Iceland is coming up!
Watching as I'm doing this cruise, in reverse, next month. So helpful, thank you 😊
If you haven't done it, try the Adriatic, Venice to Athens on Norwegian. The sail into Kotor, Montenegro, is absolutely stunning ❤
Sounds great, cheers Alan! Enjoy your cruise 😊
Hi Ben, i just found you today .. i love watching your Geiranger adventure! That place is absolutely stunning.. i can't believe ( at first) when you said 'its not worth it" on your hike to the top! And i was lol 😂 when you took back what you said😅 thanks for sharing.. now i am so excited ! Counting 28 days to go. I will be embarking on Prima 10 days starting in Iceland, the opposite route you took 😀
Hello Carlyn, I’m glad you found me! 😊 Geiranger was an amazing port, definitely my favorite port of this cruise. HAHA like I said, the only reason why I said it wasn’t worth it is because there’s a waterfall by the ship! But it was worth it in the end 😂 you’ll love the Prima! And you’ll love this itinerary! I make a video every day during the cruise so check out my other videos if you didn’t already 😁 thank you for watching and enjoy your cruise! 🚢
@@TravelWithBen121 Sure will, thank you, again! 😃 looking forward to watch your next videos!
Absolutely gorgeous! I've got to take a cruse that stops there! When you were saying the trek up to the waterfall wasn't worth, I agreed. I did think it was worth going as far as the goat restaurant...but then you found the main event. So cool. Ben sings Abba. I was able to hear you a little. Looks like fun. That moving dock was SO cool. Okay, I have to try and make you laugh, or at least chuckle in each comment...when you said you didn't see any gas stations in Geiranger, my first thought was, "maybe Ben is really an American who just moved to London." 😂 Thanks, Ben!
I agree with you, Matthew! I was gonna say it’s worth going as far as the goat restaurant but nothing much after that. The moving dock is unique! I don’t know how many ports around the world have that but I’ve never seen it. It just adds to the great port! HAHAHA some words in my brain are just wired with the American words, I can’t myself saying them without even thinking. I wouldn’t want people to think I’m American, would I? 😁😁😁
@@TravelWithBen121 Certainly not! 😂
Ben, I'm only 5 minutes into your video and I think you've said "wow" about the same amount of times I did while I was in Geiranger! :D Probably my favorite port of this cruise, but all of the Norway ports were incredible; so beautiful, and unique in their own way. Really enjoying the video and a different perspective from what I saw on this day!
HAHAHAHA Meredith, everytime I edited this video, I noticed how many times I said it 😂 in the moment, I don’t realise! I agree with you, this was my favorite port too, Norway was great! I’m excited to share the Iceland videos, such a unique place! Thank you for watching! (I hope you got your cabin assignment for the next one 😂)
@@TravelWithBen121 looking forward to seeing what you got up to in Iceland! And nope, no cabin # yet… definitely feels like I’m flying by the seat of my pants 😂 Every cruise is an adventure! 😅
OH MY GOD, soooooo BEAUTIFUL….I WILL BE on that ship in THAT place next year for sure ❤
It’s a beautiful part of the world, Sibylle! 😁
My knees would never have allowed me to make that type of hike. It looked like a long and difficult at times hike . Definitely a Beautiful place to visit. I live in Oregon and we have some beautiful scenery here. However this Port you visited is exceptionally beautiful.
It was a difficult hike for sure! One of the most beautiful places I’ve seen 😁
Wow, great trip. We are doing this in August 2025…bucket list…your videos are getting me so excited. Cooler destination is a plus for me…the Caribbean heat is so exhausting. From Canadian prairies (Calgary), 10 Celsius is shirts and tee shirt weather 😂 Thanks for the preview…so excited.
Thank you! You'll love it! Great ship and great itinerary! There's nothing wrong with going to the Caribbean but why go 10 times? 🤣 HAHA I guess the people I saw wearing shorts are Canadians!
Yes that was a beautiful place. So green. I could live there in the summer, not so much in the winter though to cold for me. Loved the waterfalls. Ben, did you pet the goats?
Very beautiful place, Carol! It will be extremely cold in the winter, a lot of snow! I bet those hill roads are fun in the snow 🤣 I did pet the goats! They were all enjoying the view 😁 Thank you for watching early!
Geraingerfjord is gorgeous. It wasn't that cold I was in shorts? I thought it was closer to 10C. Anyway people's reaction to the weather was varied.
I went to the high level look out points including one way up at the top of the mountain that you can see between the valley - it was crazy. Epic semi-frozem lake and crazily high.
Definitely a nice place.
It definitely wasn't as cold as they expected 🤣 I was overdressed! Sounds like you had a great day! Beautiful place for sure!
DANG, that is amazing place!!! I need to book this cruise, every city has Bn a banger!!! Those ppl are very lucky to see that every morning!! Wow, even the stuck sheep had a good view lol
This is a very unique itinerary for sure! Just wait until you see Iceland 😊😊😊 coming soon!
@@TravelWithBen121 can’t wait to see it, no spoilers please lol
Hehe, we are from Texas, so cold is okay. The pretty tropical island pictures don't show all the humidity! We are doing the Norwegian fjords in Sept :); thanks for your content.
You’re welcome, Tammy! 😁 enjoy your cruise!
We’re going in August and we can’ wait.
Great! Enjoy your trip, Lisa 😁
There is a State Park in Oregon called Silver Falls and you can hike behind the falls similar to what you did there in Norway.
I just looked up Silver Falls and it looks amazing, Sheri! The world is beautiful 😁
Hi Ben
Judging by the size of Geiranger, can I assume that only one ship can visit at a time?
Many thanks.
That's what I assumed too, Alan! But there are photos online of 2/3 small ships in port at the same time. One docked and the others using tenders to get to shore.
Great videos, I am taking this cruise from Iceland departing July 4. But its 10 days. I appreciate your honest evaluations. What part of England are you from?
Great John, you’ll love it! South of London 😊
What kind of watch/whatever do you have with those large numbers for time ?
@@betsyhertzog1454 it’s an Apple Watch ⌚️
Great video!!
Cheers, Jeffrey! 😊
Will be heading there on the NCLPrima in sept. I thought this was a tender port…I’m glad it doesn’t appear to be one in your video:
Definitely not a tender port, they have a moveable dock! Enjoy your cruise 😊
What time of year did you go on this trip? I’m wondering what to pack on our September trip
This was only a few week ago, Chelsea 😁 departure date was June 2nd. September weather will be similar I think! Maybe a little bit cooler. Enjoy your trip!
I would have actually loved to do that hike when we were there about three weeks ago.. I went with non'hikers .....
It was a beautiful hike, Kat! What was your sail date? My cruise started in Southampton on June 2nd.
@@TravelWithBen121 we were on the Sky Princess sailing out of Southampton on the 24th of May.
Pro-tip: when you grab a map from wifi and must keep it ... take a screen-shot. This place looks magical.
PS Meant to ask the temperature. I'm from Canada, eh {wink} so "freezing" with a coat, for me, is like -10C
I did that, Jim 😊 but my location doesn’t move on a screenshot and sometimes the route is hidden so I needed the ‘live’ map 😂 temperate was confusing because it definitely wasn’t as cold they they said!
@@TravelWithBen121 Right on.
We have beautiful Fiords like that where I live ( West Coast of Canada)...but no one lives there...
No one, Scott?!
Beautiful
I agree, Stefanne!
@@TravelWithBen121 yeah those waterfalls were magnificent
You say it’s not with it but you got great exercise, fresh air, and views you may never see again. What would you have done instead?
You’re totally right, Kristine! I probably would have eaten cake all day so it’s a win/win 😂 I’d love to try the small electric cars next time!
@@TravelWithBen121 well nothing wrong with eating cake all day either!!!!😂
I'm Canadian. I know a lot more British trivia than Americans and a lot more 'American' trivia than Brits. It's a lot easier and perhaps equally rewarding for most people in the Americas to go to Alaska than Scandinavia. Coming from Toronto, airfare to Scandinavia is double, but I would do it anyway.
I don’t agree 😊 thank you for watching!
Disagree too, I’m Canadian and have zero interest in Alaska…I love Europe. Iceland/Norway are bucket list places for me.
Fantastic❤🎉❤🎉sharing❤🎉bro❤🎉❤🎉
Thanks 🤗
Why not eat at a local restaurant ?
Why would I, Lisa? 🤣 There's an all you can eat buffet right there waiting for me!
Did the sheep get free
I didn’t see it on the way back, so yes! 😁
I think that it is a beautiful place, but I guess that though I have lived in big cities, I have lived in more rural areas, and am in Canada with lots of natural beauty. But I don't get you saying you can't believe that people live there who wake up everyday and see the sights, and then you pass a cemetery and say "all of these people died with regrets". You have totally confused me on this vlog.
Anda, do you think people that live in beautiful places don’t have regrets? 😊
@@TravelWithBen121 of course they can, LOL. But it was your juxta positioning the disbelief that anyone could wake up and see that vista every day, followed by "all of these people died with regrets". You also spoke several times about the need to travel and see other places, and yet in general people from small places are statistically less likely to travel, and not regret that. You gushed more about this port than I have heard you speak about anything else. I think that there are places in Canada that could evoke as much awe and wonder - but cruise ships wont take you there....
