  • HOW TO FIX AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION THAT SHIFTS HARD OR SLIPPING
If your transmission shifts hard or is slipping this is the video for you.
In this video we will explain what is the easiest way to fix a transmission that shifts hard or to fix a transmission that is slipping. It will not always work but for us it worked 7 out of 10 times and it is so cheap that it is worth to try it. This car's transmission was shifting hard and sometimes slipping but not always. If you the transmission shifts hard all the time or is slipping all the time it could be mechanical failure however, if it does it sometimes is is either sticking transmission solenoid, dirty valve body, wore out fluid...and more. Lucas transmission additive is very effective and worked great on this car. After about 200 miles we did not have any problems with the transmission.

i used this lucas on my 97 es 300 which has 582,743 miles on it ... no that is not a typo it is really about to roll 600,000 miles on it but anyways i need to do this again as it is back to shifting really hard again... the lucas took about 2 or 3 days before it started shifting smooth but it did help but one thing that no one ever tells you about adding this lucas is you want to drain about a quart of old fluid out and then add this and the truth is the more old fluid you drain the better ... if you can , drain all the old fluid out but DO NOT do a flush just drain the fluid out and put new fluid in it and then add this lucas ... if tou keep adding this lucas or any other additive without draining the old fluid out eventually you will be way over full on flujd and it will build to much pressure and burn the transmission up so make sure that you keep your fluid level in the right amount or you will be causing more problems than what your fixing with the additives... good luck guys and i hope you all have a blessed day

I just wonder if so little of the red oil was poured into trany which has around 10-12 quarts of oil, that amount just dissolved the tiny bit of the additive and I am not sure if it really makes any difference. Maybe 1 quart, but 2 ounces or so, I just have a hard time to believe it can make a change especially when solenoid is sticking.

can anybody help. I have a 2000 olds alero with 100k the transmission works flawlessly kickdown works great engages into gear fast reverse doesnt bang. it's just that shift from 1 to 2 the shifts take forever it's not like a slip it's just a super long shift. I can accelerate in a particular was to make it shift normally but it's a pain in the ass. wht could I do to fix this issue

to add on my question the long shift has developed into a slip . once its warm it will slip into 2nd and then if its hot out 2nd gear will slip all the way to 3rd unless i drive aroumd in 3rd. shifting manually from 1st to 2nd or leaving it in 2 and. shifting up from there. strange the 1 to 2 shift is perfect in 2 but not 3 or drive

@@letsgonow5641 sadly my super long ships have turn into slipping if I leave it in Drive it will slip in second gear and first to second is a slip however if I put it down and shift manually from 1 to 2 or leave it into and let it shift by itself it shifts fine but I was having trouble with my cooling fan and I unplug the coolant temperature sensor just to make sure the fans would stay on so I can make it home and for some odd reason the transmission literally crunched and destroyed itself it sounded like just a couple times I let it go into gear and should I let it try to ship ones by itself and it was completely sound like it was going to f****** destroy itself and now Sally 1st to 2nd slips even if I do it manually so there she goes I guess we'll see how long it will last
