    Eric!! This was so great! I had the absolute BEST TIME backpacking with you, and you captured the trip so well! Those timelapses you got! So good! Man, just a stellar video all around. Let’s run it back and do it again! Officially extending the invite for you to come visit Miranda and I in Washington State and do some mountain adventuring together! I can walk in the background and briefly flash some calves just like I did in this all you like! 😂

    Of the many backpacks we have done in Utah area, Paria Canyon is on the "must do again" list. We hiked from White House and got the gradual "introduction" to the canyon with the walls getting higher and the canyon getting more narrow as you hike along. We sampled Buckskin Gulch from the bottom on the way through. Disappointed that you didn't stop at Wrather Arch, which is pretty darn amazing. It's a mind blowing and humbling hike any way you slice it. So cool to see you with Amanda and Ranier too. Looking forward to more collaborations. Thanks for this!

    As always, beautiful video... but you didn't fall... it was a graceful way to sit down quickly😅 followed by karma and you seeing Miranda sit down quickly yet graceful also
    The chemistry between all three of you is amazing. You could tell us that y'all have done this numerous times and we would believe you.

    Hey Eric, I love your content and am wanting to get more heavily into camping and backpacking again and your channel and many others in the community have steered me in a great direction to start but I noticed on this channel you haven't really done any videos about footwear since you left BackpackingTV and most youtubers don't touch on footwear much it seems. I live in North Carolina where there is a lot of area like this canyon you have been hiking a couple times now in your videos where it is in and out of water. What is the most comfortable way you have found to do hikes like this and take good care of your feet? Do you just do what I've heard Dan talk about in his videos and deal with your feet being wet and then address it after the hike? Or do you like the option that Miranda did and use neoprene socks with maybe a water shoe like the astrals you have talked about? Thanks so much and keep up the great work, Cheers!

    Miranda peeing her pants a little in the beginning is so real 😂 I have a bad habit of putting off peeing until I’m dancing to find a spot about to pee myself lmao

    Gorgeous cinematography ... As usual ... It has me wanting to check this destination out ... Thanks for sharing this adventure with us ... Very enjoyable!
    Question ... Can this trip be done in 1 to 2 additional days so you do less miles per day?

    • @eric_hanson
      @eric_hanson  8 месяцев назад

      Absolutely. We did this in four days but you could absolutely stretch it out. I did it in five days about five years ago and that was very nice, although it actually felt almost too leisurely.

    I enjoyed this video! I shall continue to check out your channel. Beautiful footage!

    Enjoyed this video. So different from your usual. It’s not as much a meditating beautiful inner peace. I liked it but like the solo or w/ Kristi much more.
    The one w/ Dan was a little less chatty but nothing beats the quiet beautiful photography.
    Guess, I like my thoughts better than active discussions. Just me?

    Love this video. Found myself smiling the whole time. Question: how did you dry out shoes and socks when getting to camp late and cold nights?

    • @eric_hanson
      @eric_hanson  8 месяцев назад +1

      We just set shoes and socks aside and put on camp shoes for the evenings. They didn't really dry but that didn't matter much because after 4 seconds of hiking you'd be right back in the water the next day.

    Awesome video! I’m about to pull the trigger on a zen bivy system and noticed you put the new pillow in the same stuff sac with the sheet/quilt. Is that the 10L? Or does it all still fit in the 7L with the pillow?

    The _actual_ longest(& deepest) slot canyons in the world are here in northern Delaware. There's 7 of them, all between 74 - 92 miles long and 350+ feet deep. They cut right through the western Himalayas in the Wilmington De region.

    @eric_hanson this canyon reminded me of my visit to the Antelope Canyons on my first ever vacation and trip to the US like 20 years ago. Brought back so many memories.
    I'll once again be in the US this winter (end Nov to end of Feb) and was initially only planning on doing cities, but your video made me want to also do some hiking now (can't really bring backpacking gear since i plan on travelling light with carry-on luggage only). Can you or anybody else reading this give recommendations for some good winter hikes in the US that do not require heavy snow gear and can be done with something like trail runners or low hiking boots instead of heavy hiking boots? The clothes i planned on bringing would work for hiking (layered system etc + rain shell)

      forgot to mention that I'll be visiting east and west coast (NY, WA, Miami, LV, LA, SF, ...) but am flexible and could go to Utah etc.
