Apple will never add a fingerprint scanner to any of their iPhones or iPads again. Fingerprint scanner is now old technology and Apple has moved on to the more secure faceID. Besides, time has shown that Apple doesn't really need an excuse to charge more for their devices.

I don't understand why everyone picks on the OnePlus 6t for not having a head phone jack and wireless charging. So you want wireless charging but don't want to go wireless on the headphones? Now don't say wired headphones sound better because in that case wired charging is faster and one plus has the fastest charging in the industry. Please give it credit for doing so many things so good for just half the price than other flagship phones. I used note 8 for 14 months. Never did I use the headphone jack. Whether we like it or not everything is going wireless. Even LG and Samsung will do away with the headphone jack and we cannot do anything about that. I now own a OnePlus 6t. It checks everything you need the most. Fast charging, amazing battery life(really impressed), amazing UI, best looking notch in the market, vibrant screen, very good build quality (including their accessories) , super super fast and very smooth gesture controls (So close to Apple's). For the price I cannot complain about what it doesn't have because let's admit if it has everything that other phones do the price is going to increase and then that will be something everyone will pick on and trust me go for the money/value, not because it doesn't have a headphone jack or because of wireless charging where you need to buy a wireless charger that will cost you more.

Wireless charging is a bit stupid. It still has to sit it one spot and charge very slowly. But plug it in and it's way faster and you can still move the device around. Headphone jack is really nice though I'm mad they got rid of it

I now own the OnePlus 6T and I love it it great yes I miss the headphone jack but OnePlus really covered for it with the battery life on this phone u can listen watch all day long and for me recharge ones during the day but the fast charger makes it feel like a breeze I am a satisfied customer and I love the gestures on this phone
Honestly why is having no 3.5mm headphone jack an issue? It's not as if you can't use wired headphones! I'd understand if using wired headphones use had gone completely but it hasn't. It takes 0.5 sec to plug the dongle in! in ! The only issue is you can't use them while charging! Even thats not an issue as of you charge you're op6t for 10 minutes you can then use your wired headphones for hours. So it's really not an issue is it?

Bayu Aji not really most people were okay with them removing it. It’s just not a huge deal. Bluetooth headphones and such have huge battery life now. My skullcandy Hesh 3 has a 20 hour battery life and it’s a sub $100 pair of headphones. I charge them like twice a week and they charge in one hour, no more. And there are wired earbud options but wireless ones pack a real punch.

These comments are hilarious. People need to understand Apple fans don't care what Android can do better or how much better "value" phones like the 6T are. If its runs Android then all that goes out the window. iPhone users pay a premium for Facetime, iMessage, superior ecosystem of products, smooth fluid user friendly software (that's updated frequently), long term support (even the 5s got iOS 12) and convenience of Apple stores for service/repair. That's something no Android phone can provide. Those are intangibles reviewers never mention. Dont get me wrong, the One plus and android in general is great if that's your preference. I've had Android phones in the past that I enjoyed. I'm just saying you have to look at the whole picture and not just wants on the spec sheet.

The result, they just jacked up the price to increase profits on there products and retain share holder value. I love the XS and XS Max, however owning the iPhone XS Max only to trade in for the 6T, I am definitely staying with the T. I love Apple as well as Android for many reasons on both platforms, however the extended options that come in the 6T at such great prices leaves me wondering why we are being charged so much by other manufacturers. The 6T is the first Android phone I've used that has ran just as smooth as all my previous iPhones! So to have a Buttery smooth Android, with all it's customization and power for so little of a price, it's an obvious choice for me. As of right now, I have not once missed my iPhone XS Max.
The more I read about this phone the more I think about switching back to android. iPhone for me because my wife got me an apple watch for our anniversary. Plus my company's work apps work better on an iPhone. If that wasn't the case and my employer didn't subsidized the price, I wouldn't even hesitate to get the OnePlus.
Only reason i switched to apple was ease of navigation amd the super smooth software. Every android device i have used slows down after a year and lags. Also the software updates are totally dependent on OEM

I have the iPhone XS Max and Galaxy Note 9, and never have I ever used the wireless charging. It's not a deal breaker for me. Gotta say that the One Plus 6T is one really good phone.

I ditched iPhone for a Note 9 and have not looked back, except to question why I didn't move sooner. I bought the most expensive Note 9 + a 512microsd (for FLAC) and still paid out 35% less than if I'd bought a 512 iPhone XS. Apple could solve a lot of the resentment affecting user retention by introducing microsd slot. Apple pricing is just mental now and the latest versions of iOS contain new annoyances (features) which cannot be turned off, so I predict more people jumping ship. OnePlus make great phones...but I would like to see them make a super spec phone....no compromises, I bet it would be amazing.
Maybe I misunderstood your comments as it relates to Dual SIM usage in the US, but, I am using Dual Sim on Verizon. I have two Verizon SIMs in the 6T and it works incredibly well. I haven't yet tried another carrier SIM with a Verizon SIM, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I bought my device from OnePlus, so maybe that's the international version you're referencing. I had the 6T and switched out after one day into the XS. If you have both you will know Iphone gives you the most polished, complete experience. Entry price has always been high on apple products but they tend to last for a long time and when you are finally ready to upgrade, your old iPhone will still get you a very good return to put towards a new one. My 3 year old 7+ 128GB sold for $500.
Finian Blackett I get what you’re saying but I work in a phone store and literally no one cares about that stuff. The average consumer only wants a reliable device with decent battery life that they can use to video call, message, and post to social media and in those regards iPhone blows any android out of the water in terms of polish and usability out of the box. People will buy iPhone 7’s and tell me they prefer the experience to their more expensive android phones. But I am happy you have something you like and that there’s even competition in the first place.
KelvinKelvin it is just not a polished experience. Apps stutter, turning the volume up or down is met with delay at times, many apps are not optimized for the phone and run slow or don’t fill the screen, settings would reset to defaults randomly, and little things like being able to set a timer to stop playing music or audio at the end on iPhone are all made me just want to switch back to an apple phone.

I don't understand why everyone picks on the OnePlus 6t for not having a head phone jack and wireless charging. So you want wireless charging but don't want to go wireless on the headphones? Now don't say wired headphones sound better because in that case wired charging is faster and one plus has the fastest charging in the industry. Please give it credit for doing so many things so good for just half the price than other flagship phones. I used note 8 for 14 months. Never did I use the headphone jack. Whether we like it or not everything is going wireless. Even LG and Samsung will do away with the headphone jack and we cannot do anything about that. I now own a OnePlus 6t. It checks everything you need the most. Fast charging, amazing battery life(really impressed), amazing UI, best looking notch in the market, vibrant screen, very good build quality (including their accessories) , super super fast and very smooth gesture controls (So close to Apple's). For the price I cannot complain about what it doesn't have because let's admit if it has everything that other phones do the price is going to increase and then that will be something everyone will pick on and trust me go for the money/value, not because it doesn't have a headphone jack or because of wireless charging where you need to buy a wireless charger that will cost you more.
The spot of fastest charging is currently held by oppo with their super VOOC charge.

Wireless charging is a bit stupid. It still has to sit it one spot and charge very slowly. But plug it in and it's way faster and you can still move the device around.

I now own the OnePlus 6T and I love it it great yes I miss the headphone jack but OnePlus really covered for it with the battery life on this phone u can listen watch all day long and for me recharge ones during the day but the fast charger makes it feel like a breeze I am a satisfied customer and I love the gestures on this phone
Honestly why is having no 3.5mm headphone jack an issue? It's not as if you can't use wired headphones! I'd understand if using wired headphones use had gone completely but it hasn't. It takes 0.5 sec to plug the dongle in! in ! The only issue is you can't use them while charging! Even thats not an issue as of you charge you're op6t for 10 minutes you can then use your wired headphones for hours. So it's really not an issue is it?

Bayu Aji not really most people were okay with them removing it. It’s just not a huge deal. Bluetooth headphones and such have huge battery life now. My skullcandy Hesh 3 has a 20 hour battery life and it’s a sub $100 pair of headphones. I charge them like twice a week and they charge in one hour, no more. And there are wired earbud options but wireless ones pack a real punch.

These comments are hilarious. People need to understand Apple fans don't care what Android can do better or how much better "value" phones like the 6T are. If its runs Android then all that goes out the window. iPhone users pay a premium for Facetime, iMessage, superior ecosystem of products, smooth fluid user friendly software (that's updated frequently), long term support (even the 5s got iOS 12) and convenience of Apple stores for service/repair. That's something no Android phone can provide. Those are intangibles reviewers never mention. Dont get me wrong, the One plus and android in general is great if that's your preference. I've had Android phones in the past that I enjoyed. I'm just saying you have to look at the whole picture and not just wants on the spec sheet.

All very true but the one thing that apple did in the beginning was blow everyone out of the water. You paid a lot of money for great products you couldn't get anywhere else. But now, everyone makes a great smart phone, Chrome OS and Chromebook update better than Macs now and Windows machines are finally taking chunks out of the creator space. Apple isn't Apple anymore. iPhone is a better phone than One Plus 6T. And one plus 6T is 100% good phone for it's price. But does the apple, price tags sums it up to the specs - ANSWER A BIG NO! Every apple product has gone up in price. When apple sells more phones they should reduce cost? In reality apple has sold lesser and lesser phones since 2016. The result, they just jacked up the price to increase profits on there products and retain share holder value. Hit hard the consumers, I am an apple fan boy but the price is despicable, even though I make more money than what I used to make when I first bought my first iPhone, I cannot begin to comprehend a $1000 price tag. I will still buy my next phone as an iPhone, but it won't be the latest one. Perhaps a cheaper and older version iPhones such as an iPhone 7 or 8.

Hi Jaime, I’m planning to buy my first one plus phone. If it’s you, would you buy the one plus 6 or 6T? I have seen mixed reviews about the in-screen fingerprint scanner of the 6T, and I am a bit hesitate. Thank you!
I love the XS and XS Max, however owning the iPhone XS Max only to trade in for the 6T, I am definitely staying with the T. I love Apple as well as Android for many reasons on both platforms, however the extended options that come in the 6T at such great prices leaves me wondering why we are being charged so much by other manufacturers. The 6T is the first Android phone I've used that has ran just as smooth as all my previous iPhones! So to have a Buttery smooth Android, with all it's customization and power for so little of a price, it's an obvious choice for me. As of right now, I have not once missed my iPhone XS Max.
The more I read about this phone the more I think about switching back to android. I have an iphone xr and after seeing your comment if u dont miss ur xs max I doubt I’ll miss my xr since I had it for two months and even though its a great phone I’m bored of it already; thanks for sharing your experience.
I've been an iPhone user since iPhone 4 and sold my iPhone X for 6T. No regrets and never missed my iPhone.
Dude I will go for 6T as I'm an Android person and have no that much money in my pocket. But if I had 1000 bucks, still 6T will be damn great guy as my daily driver, specially when you consider his better battery life and smooth and plain UI as you mentioned.

iPhone for me because my wife got me an apple watch for our anniversary. Plus my company's work apps work better on an iPhone. If that wasn't the case and my employer didn't subsidized the price, I wouldn't even hesitate to get the OnePlus.

Only reason i switched to apple was ease of navigation amd the super smooth software. Every android device i have used slows down after a year and lags. Also the software updates are totally dependent on OEM

I am curious, most reviewers prefer 6T/Note9 over iphones (and last year was note 8 and Pixel 2XL), yet they all wear apple watches. how does that work in practice ?
I ditched iPhone for a Note 9 and have not looked back, except to question why I didn't move sooner. I bought the most expensive Note 9 + a 512microsd (for FLAC) and still paid out 35% less than if I'd bought a 512 iPhone XS. Apple could solve a lot of the resentment affecting user retention by introducing microsd slot. Apple pricing is just mental now and the latest versions of iOS contain new annoyances (features) which cannot be turned off, so I predict more people jumping ship. OnePlus make great phones...but I would like to see them make a super spec phone....no compromises, I bet it would be amazing.

Maybe I misunderstood your comments as it relates to Dual SIM usage in the US, but, I am using Dual Sim on Verizon. I have two Verizon SIMs in the 6T and it works incredibly well. I haven't yet tried another carrier SIM with a Verizon SIM, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. I bought my device from OnePlus, so maybe that's the international version you're referencing.

I had the 6T and switched out after one day into the XS. If you have both you will know Iphone gives you the most polished, complete experience. Entry price has always been high on apple products but they tend to last for a long time and when you are finally ready to upgrade, your old iPhone will still get you a very good return to put towards a new one. My 3 year old 7+ 128GB sold for $500.
Finian Blackett I get what you’re saying but I work in a phone store and literally no one cares about that stuff. The average consumer only wants a reliable device with decent battery life that they can use to video call, message, and post to social media and in those regards iPhone blows any android out of the water in terms of polish and usability out of the box. People will buy iPhone 7’s and tell me they prefer the experience to their more expensive android phones.
But I am happy you have something you like and that there’s even competition in the first place.

KelvinKelvin it is just not a polished experience. Apps stutter, turning the volume up or down is met with delay at times, many apps are not optimized for the phone and run slow or don’t fill the screen, settings would reset to defaults randomly, and little things like being able to set a timer to stop playing music or audio at the end on iPhone are all made me just want to switch back to an apple phone.
