      Can also bait them up with fish, squid, crab baits at home and freeze them, then take them to the beach in a small cool box with frozen blocks, or in a flask👍

    Oooh billy love the dingle dangle rig people call it a dongle over here but it ain't got the same ring to it dingle dangle

    • @Billyfishing_watch
      @Billyfishing_watch  Год назад

      Okay! It was invented in South Africa. they invented it, they get to name it! Some people thought if they changed the name. They'd own the idea. So credit where credit is due, and that's the way it should be. And yes, dingle dangle is a better name. Thanks Brother, see you on the beach 😁👌

    • @garycreasey4538
      @garycreasey4538 Год назад

      That's what I tell people that the idea was from south Africa but they ain't got a clue think it's a new thing

    • @Billyfishing_watch
      @Billyfishing_watch  Год назад

      It was RUclipsrs that started it. They thought if they could call it something different they would own the idea. But like I said, give credit when it's due. Thanks Brother 👌

    I just use 50lb Dacron and superglue a Uni knot loop around a pen tube, for the bottom. Slide a bead on when rigging up and tie it to the hook with another Uni knot. A metal free dingle. Releases OK using 5oz sinker. Yeah, it's a pain to tie the bait on. 😂 Gonna try some silicone tube now. Got some in the garage. Thanks.

    Nice video explaining it Billy. Personally I dont like dongles. I find that im loosing a hook gaining nothing but thats personal. I find even with a pennel with a circle top hook and a J hook on bottom the circle 99% of the time will always hook.

      Hi James. I think it's got more to do with confidence than anything else, in the beginning I wasn't convinced. But over time, and with practice I found they worked just as well or better. But hang in there I might have the answer for you. Thanks Brother 😁👌

    If one doesnt have the massive surf rod, could one use something like this and just throw out with bait and a hook?

    • @Billyfishing_watch
      @Billyfishing_watch  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes of course! But if you're not casting very far and the bait won't come off when you cast, then I don't really think it's applicable. Thanks Brother 😁👌

    Its hard to understand the heatshrink part. Can you show that under a brighter light.Thanks.

    • @Billyfishing_watch
      @Billyfishing_watch  Год назад

      There's not much to understand, you put the heat shrink over the little ring. Heat it, the tube shrinks. Then you pass the hook through the hole. The heat strength tubing is to hold the hook. Hope the explanation helps, thanks Brother 😁👌
