Listened to Blackmore's riffs since 1977, and there is none better than the man in black .It's great to hear, (and see) this song, and to see him going in a different direction from Purple and Rainbow. We even get a little smile from Ritchie at the end :) His guitar work here is perfectly accompanied by Candice Night and the band. Heard this on Sirius XM Holly and have been playing it incessantly since. Let's face it, we need a replacement for all those old Slade, Gary Glitter and Elton John songs from the 70's ! It's those that are getting old !
B's Night has been a fine band for 26 years as I write this. Unfortunate how many of Ritchie's hard rock fans continue to thumb their nose at this magical music. If they gave more of it a try, they'd discover that Ritchie still plays his Strat excellently on many songs in their catalog - and it's not all 'lite' stuff.
Say goodbye to November She must be on her way The cold winds of December Look like they're here to stay Me, I'll just count the snowflakes As they start to fall Getting lost in the beauty The magic of it all... And our eyes filled with wonder As the reindeer take to flight... It's Christmas eve Bells will ring Through the town we gather to sing Christmas eve Has begun Peace and love to everyone Light the festive candles They'll chase the shadows away Gathering round the yule log With handfuls of holly Winter winds will whisper Through the shivering pines Never have the stars Looked brighter than tonight...
Lol’s, Richie went to a Em instead of a C in the last couple of bar’s in this song, that makes musianship so real , there’s a trick in covering up a mistake, just smile and keep on going with the tune! Great classical Christmas song, awesome guitar player and vocalist!!!! 🎄🎸🎶!
Why is it so bad for people to accept Ritchie semi-moving away from his hard rock music to folk/renaissance? I've heard plenty of rock and let me just say; stuff like AC/DC, Van Halen and Metallica plays so loud and grungy, it makes my ears want to throw up. Some of the sort of rock riffs Ritchie does in BN is acceptable because it's not that excessive. He is also the kind of artist who doesn't bend to the rule of trends, like some sheep in the music business do already
@KoChA07 Jon Lord is diying of cancer, he is 70 years old, Ritchie is 67 years old. Ritchie did his best years ago, now he wants to enjoy his old age playing simple songs.
This kind of music is harder to play than hard-rock, there are no amplifiers, no efects, no tricks, you must play and sing really well , just have a look at the face of all the BN members , how they are concentrated.
@metacosmos They look bored to death... Beside Candice, she looks happy as always. Cant help myself thinking that Ritchies talent is wasted here. Man can do so much more whit that guitar. But this is nice little song, and if they are happy Im also... Cheers!
@metacosmos I know... But come on. He is not that old. And I hope he is not seriously sick. I know he can pull off one more Rainbow album. Dont get me wrong this sound nice, but nothing special, Ive heard such things.. Ritchie puts his best in other genres. He has every right to stay retierd but its such a waste...

@KoChA07 Ritchie is an old and sick man now and he does what pleases him, he lives almost retired since 10 years ago. No more antics on stage for him.

You can say that again...
Does someone know where this video has been recorded ? It's one of my favourite Christmas songs.
Try the liner notes for the Castles and Dreams DVD set (which unfortunately I no longer have, or I'd check for you).

@KoChA07 Ritchie suffers arthritis inflammatory, painful to play guitar when your shoulder aches.
Поздравляю католиков с Рождеством!
