    I just got fitted last night and switched from the 2016 AP1 to the T100 "s" and i'm so excited for them to come in the mail. The change was just unbelievable between the two. I'm a 4.5 handicap so I didn't really need such big irons like the AP1.

    Good review Michael. Only thing I’d like to see is swing speed, that way we could see if the ball speed was up purely due to the club, or maybe you were able to swing it quicker for some reason 👍🏻

    I played AP2s for a few years. Loved the feel and workabilty, but always felt about 1/2 club shorter. Switched to Mizuno this year and solved that, but these look like they've picked up a little yardage as well.

    First one to do a comparison of thoese two irons. I hit a T100 the other day and it was too light compared to the MB/CB that I also hit. Hopefully that was a mistake by the bigbox store and they had grabbed a lighter fitting club.

  • @csutto
    @csutto 5 лет назад +3

    Thanks for your review. Is it possible to compare the 620 CB to the T100? It seems like these two clubs are moving closer together. Both have the same weaker lofts (1° diff). The T100 now has the same top line as the 718 CB. The sole is now shaped similar for better turf interaction. The CB’s keep getting more forgiveness tech , similar to the
    AP2/T100. Would be interesting to compare the numbers, feel, etc. Thanks for your time.

      @@bwill_ Yes I did switch to the T100S and I love them. They feel as soft as the AP2s and look even a bit more sleek. My dynamic loft is lower now which is good. Took me a round or two to trust the yardage but it was an easy and familiar upgrade. Very happy.

  • @bjohnson515
    @bjohnson515 5 лет назад +1

    With these clubs and Titleist holding to the standard lofts, comparisons to say Taylormade with lofts nearly a club different is difficult.
    The AP2s look better than the T 100 IMO... better graphics on the back (as if it matters). But with the specs so close, I guess it becomes a consideration.
    To throw the AP2s in the garage and buy the T 100s ... there isnt enough there for me. The evolution of the clubs seems to be dwindling...
    the increments less and less.
    Just remember, Johnny Miller won the 1973 US Open with 1947 Macgregor irons.
    Great swing BTW.

    Hi Michael, I quit golf 5 years ago due to severe back injury and haven't touch a club until last week. I was using a custom fitted AP2 714 and was playing a 7 handicap. Now, I just want to be a leisure golfer with minimal practice and looking to get a new set. Can you recommend something like AP2/T100 (small, less offset, forged) but a little bit more forgiving? (I'm interested with Mizuno and let me know what model should I get)

    Great review. I was wondering what your ball flight would be like if you didn't have your club 2 degree upright. I am 6'4" and it was suggested to me that i should have my clubs 2 degree up right and extended plus .5 to 1". I have always played plus .5. But standard settings. I use to hit the ball straight. Now after Cancer, hip replacement, knee replacement, now going to get my ankle replaced. i hit a big draw. sometimes a pull.I just dont know how to be consistent. Not sure if the shaft is to light? 105g. Or i need to get my clubs bent 2 degrees upright? Could be with all thats going on with my body. My timing is off. Thanks

    Hi Mike, nice review. I currently play 714 AP2. Does not look like its worth switching to the T100.
    I enjoyed your review of the Mizuno MP 20 irons. I think the problem is that you hit the ball so well, that there was not a big difference between the muscle back, MMC and HMB.
    Could you please compare the Mizuno MP 20 MMC and the Mizuno 919 forged?

    I really do enjoy these videos. I also know this is a small data set, but what I don’t like is how the data is displayed. I am sure there are bad shots, but I think to do small comparison like this everything should be included, or the criteria should be set on which data points are excluded. For instance, your fourth shot was missed pin high right and went 167 yards. That shot was not on the data grid. Was this because it brought the ball speed number down??? Interestingly enough, your next shot, is actually 4 shots later. Shot 14 -> Shot 18 on the quad. I understand the power of editing, but take a few seconds to explain why certain things are omitted.

    Titleist are keen to say don't compare them to the AP range please ,then build the new T series looking the same as the AP irons .The new CB looks the best ,more like a Mizuno 919 tour ,I guess thats where they are aiming with that one .Would like to see the 919 tour up against the new CB Mike ,I got the 919 tours and they are surprisingly forgiving .

For their used prices, I would rather get new.) Have you tried the t100? If so how do they compare to the ap2? Why did you choose ap2?

    • @user-dd1bb4tw4r
      @user-dd1bb4tw4r 2 года назад

      @@stangetz534 I have never hit the T100s so I don't know how they feel but I imagine they feel similar to the AP2. When I chose the AP2 I tested the Titleist, Mizuno and the Callaway Apex. Wish I could've hit Wilson and Srixon but Wilson is impossible to get ahold of for LH and Srixon doesn't make LH Zs. I would say go to your local major club retailer and hit them all. Pricing is a major factor for most. Age has nothing to do with ball striking. You might lose length with age but ball striking is a different category. Jim Furyk was one of the shortest if not the shortest players on tour and he had a very successful career.
