I like cabbage and I am trying to keep an open mind about new foods. But, I am still suspicious about how well cabbage complements the other ingredients I have seen it cooked with in this video. I guess I will have to try these dishes before I can make a decision about whether or not it is a good combination/
It goes real well actually. It cooks for a long while so the cabbage both steams and fries in the batter over time. With the sauce/mayo/bonito and other things the Cabbage becomes more like a texture/mild flavor on top of something you will notice. But it's important in the same way onions or something like bay leaves impart that extra je ne sais croix into a dish. So long post short the cabbage isn't raw so it's not funky.
