In wich video did you go through all those settings i couldn't find, also is there all setting's in pc browser in app ?
Can we control qos from app ? Limit data for others and things like that.

I’m upgrading to the ASUS rt-ax86u from an old Netgear N900. That Netgear on WIFI is often dropping one or more of my home two tv’s, two computers, one iPad or one/multiple of 3 iPhones and grabbing a neighbors WiFi in a 1600sq ft home. When Changing out the Netgear: should I first disconnect the Netgear, then connect to the ASUS to isp and begin to initialize the ASUS?
Or would you recommend starting with the mobile devices first, and shutting off/leaving on the netgear?

Hi a quick question here, is this a good upgrade from the standard BT box and is it as simple as unplugging the wires from the old box into this? (From a inexperienced tech person)
yes, depending on your internet speed. You would also need to download the app then set it up as seen in this video.

Hi, I managed to use the wall cavity to pull through Ethernet cable so have got from eBay a cheap 10Gbe switch. I did see a good video on LON.TV RUclips channel for the MoCA 2.5Gb.

@@Placesandspaces35 Was lucky as my DIY skills are rubbish :) I managed to get a second hand 10Gbe switch cheap on ebay.
@@EclipseReviews i am running 2.5 gbe switches and 2.5 gbe MoCa adapters in my home. Now my download speeds are around 1400 mbps and wireless speed is about 830 mbps download. Transferring files is ridiculously fast. I can’t imagine what 10gbe speed is like. 😁
how to set it up so that the asus router application can be used outside the local network to remotely the router?
Within the App you can go in to Settings > System Settings > then toggle on the option 'Remote Connection'
Do you have to buy a sim card for it or something
If you want to use the 3G/4G cellular/mobile USB feature, you will need to use/buy a supported USB modem dongle. This web page lists which dongles are supported by Asus by country: www.asus.com/event/networks_3G4G_support/
Mine keeps popping up with a service information screen in the iPhone setting when I try to connect
what service information does it display?
Do you just need this router only and that’s it no modem or anything?
Depends on your type of internet, if you have ADSL via the telephone then you will still need a modem. If you have fibre/cable this can plug in to the wall box or the ISP modem (but this is not ideal)
Does anyone know what the username and password is for sky fibre?
Can you use this without connection to the modem?

I would recommend looking at buying a WiFi 6 router to get the best benefits from the newer technology.

Do you get an error in the app? Have you tried going to a browser and accessing the router setup this way.
