This strike had no right going as hard as it did. Love the rumors that this was originally designed as a raid in early D1 concept art. Definitely feels like it.
I dunno about a raid, but the Pyramidion (and most of Io for that matter) was a cut section from Mars You can even see the Pyramidion in the background in a D1 crucible map on mars
@@Darkspyre2 It was probably the raid, a somewhat reputable kotaku article by Jason Schreier from 2015-16 mentions "Mars Raid". Also, there are blogs from High Moon developers talking about scaling down the complexity and length of the "pyramidion raid"
@@RazorrekkerMusic does it feel like something is downplayed or missing from this segment? I am fond of it too but I remember it sounding more intensely emotional in game, fighting on that bridge.
@@RazorrekkerMusic Well, here's the first sample I found, not the best but at least I trust it's the in-game cut. ruclips.net/video/3cHAu48Uy-M/видео.html Is the part I am remembering as more intense and emotional than it feels now. I think the music sounds different when it's in the background to gameplay, and to me that makes some parts seem more intense because they stick out more? Also I think in my memory I'm mixing different parts of the music up and adding my own imagination because I'm having a hard time finding what I remember in these clips. In my memory I think I'm combining all of the emotional parts into one mega-emotional part that doesn's exist.
@@kittenburger_prime I remember back when d2 first came out, I played this strike all the time because I loved the music so much and it hadn't been uploaded yet, the only thing downplaying this is the lack of explosions and vex/guardian gunfire
I cannot help but respectfully disagree with gambit being better than crucible. I may have had one too many crappy matches lol. I can't help but agree with your first statement however
It's wild how hype I got from hearing a bit of this in the end of vexcalibur. I started cracking when I recognized the first couple notes and saw the boss's name.
doesn't fit them motif wise. The witness motif has a religious motif to it. This doesn't fit it at all, it would fits the 9 and Osiris. Its also too clashy. the two tunes have different keys. This is a bit slower than the witness' One is urgency laced with majestic tones while the other one is majestic and mysterious. best to study music theory
I feel like the swelling movements are more intense while in game. Like, the strings (horns?) that cut in are more emphasized while fighting on that bridge. Is it the mix or just me I wonder.

1:00-1:48 is just *incredible*
And the emotion pouring out of 3:00-3:24 is utterly wonderful
This older music is really something else

@@kittenburger_prime Unfortunately I wasn't around in the game when the pyramidion was, so I never got to hear this ingame

1:35 to 1:47 is just beautiful
God how i wish they brought back this strike and Io
yes, the nostalgia. thank you, breshi and everyone else working to bring these back (gambit > crucible)

This strike music is soo good. Made me feel badass shielding/reviving allies and pushing forward with the commander shield

1:35 "last guardian standing"
Thank you for posting this. The Pyrimidion was my favourite strike and gave more information about my favourite NPC, it's good to reminded of it.
one of the best strike tracks
Wow, this is actually incredible.
It's finally back, thank you so much.
I absolutely miss playing this strike :( . Particularly because of how amazing this song is.
3:34 odd that the cabal theme is in here
Wow I never caught that before, my only guess it is references either the red war or the Cabal on Io but still super strange.

Alright 2:58 what should’ve played during witness DPS in raid.

That's the power of visual accompaniment and action-oriented interactive gameplay heightening the auditory dynamics that are perceived.

incredible
goat soundtrack
*why do I hear Cabal Stomp*
Because the Pyramidion was originally intended to be on Mars in a D1 expansion (which had Cabal vs Vex)
Shame they can’t bring back old strikes
Trials of the Nine 💀
Seems like everyone forgets that its the trials of the nine intro cause theres multiple vairents of the intro.
Trials of the nine had a amazing intro soundtrack. I loved being hyped up by that every match
this is the same as the trials of the nine song...
Yes, they mixed this track for the short trials of the nine track.
