@Louis Cypher there's a bit of dialogue where Charles throws him like a sack of oranges and he gets up and cowers off. There's also one where Javier drops him and he picks up his newspaper and hides his face like a bitch still making threats under his breath. He's the purest example of a bully and a coward.
He's not just a voice actor of course, he's a performance actor. So the cutscenes and movements you see of him, he also acted out. I think the hunchback style he went for really showed him for the rat he was. He was practically cowaring himself, trying to hide himself down around the tougher men.

He also says at the start " Colm don't know the name of his men, as long as they have air in their lungs and willing to shoot it's enough." he goes on to be the exact same by the end of rdr2 and all through rdr1. In fact Colm spoke the thruth when he said " I see you still hide behind that vail of self righteousness of yours.".
His mind and judgement were clouded, Im pretty sure he was suffering from a mental disease of some sort, and micah took advantage of Dutch in this time
Mikhail Kupferschmidt Except the Van Der Linde gang effectively killed Colm in Saint Denis. Both gangs ended up the same way death and disbandment at the hands of the pinkertons.

Arthur becoming terminally ill was the perfect opportunity for Micah to kill him, but the fact that he didn't just shoot Arthur during their fight shows that, even while Arthur was on the brink of death, Micah still had the tiniest bit of respect for him, at least in the high honor endings.
And notice in the mission American Venom, Micah mentions he has some friends coming. The friends he refers are actually Pinkertons, as he was planning to turn Dutch to em. Pinkertons were planning to use Micah to kill the whole gang. When they found Micah dead, they realised they need a new guinea pig so they chose John.

Wow you say that? Interesting. You want to hear a truth? Abigail is the rat and she is a true coward and problem. I have no respect to disgusting girls like Abigail.
As he says, he is a survivor. For example, when he was in jail: "I've always looked up to you Arthur." He always tried to gain Dutch's and Arthur's favour, but when he realizes of Arthur's sickness, he starts talking shit of him, just to replace him as Old Dutch's new right hand.
Micah is a prick most of the time, but I think he genuinely liked Arthur as a fighter. He's one of those edgy boys who try too hard to play the big guy, and surely he despised Arthur's way of handling his situation, but at the same time I think he respected him. He's boasting with his new friends, yet he mentions Arthur saved his life. If it was just manipulation, he would not have exposed himself like that. Even while calling him names, Micah always shows respect and appreciation for Arthur's skills during the story
When Micah was talking about how Arthur saved him. It looked like he was feeling regret for a moment. It's the first time out of the entire series where he felt regret, remembering he saved his life got shot afterwards and he's planning on messing him over. It bothered him so much that he started shaking and he had to mentally rationalize and justify it in his head to not feel guilty by saying "back in the day". Ironic little twist people never caught on too.
I think Arthur was too hard on Micah. Whether Micah's efforts in befriending Arthur were genuine or not, the efforts were still there. The guy gives you a holster, a rifle. Wants to call you Brother. Thanks you for saving him. Tells you he has no beef with you. Openly respects your skills as a gunman & notes your ability to get the job done. Sees you as competent enough to rob two stagecoaches with you & doesn't worry about dying against the Grays because "Of course we're getting out of this. It's you & me Morgan". Yeah he's a piece of shit but you don't give him a reason to be. You can't blame him for saying "Fuck it, I guess he's an enemy". It's likely all an effort to manipulate. But it's entirely possible that he may have wanted to be a dynamic duo
@@koolkat518 in specific dialogue he talks about his brother and how they have no real love for eachother. you don't go through life and simply want to remain a loner. deep down inside he wanted to be apart of the dynamic of the gang but his personality kept him from sitting back and thinking about how he could truly become part of the "FAMILY"
@@koolkat518 Exactly! I never see people mention this. Throughout the entirety of the game Arthur and many other members of the gang are openly antagonistic to Micah. Can you really blame him for not being loyal to a group of people that made it no secret they despised him? In those rare moments where Arthur puts his differences aside with Micah to fight alongside him I think I could see what could’ve been brotherly relationship based of off respect, if Arthur had shown him any.
@@James-qh4nq I think would be fun, majority of gangs have fist fights, is more to do with the fact how you can be treated and have no reaction but to accept,, lol
I replayed this game and I can already see the difference between Arthur at the beginning with blind loyalty to Dutch and the end with his faith in Dutch wavering as he slowly becomes more unhinged and having Micah as the devil in his shoulder But also him becoming closer to the people within the camp, when Sean died in his journal Arthur said he kind of like him. With Hosea as well Arthur said that he was a father figure to him. John, uncle, Abigail, Jack, Sadie, Charles, Lenny, Karen etc Arthur is the true absolute badass
I hope that in my second playthrough of this awesome game when I antagonize the shit out of Micah throughout the entire game I won't get kicked out of the camps.
Crazy, because the game won't even let me antagonize Micah half the time. The option is nearly always grayed out for me, which frustrates me to no end.
1:42 You can really see how the camp dynamic has changed. Micah sits at the head and center with two loyal goons at his side who would have no trouble killing anyone there. Dutch sits off to the side, and when Miss Karen goes to complain, she doesn't even acknowledge him. At this point, Dutch is Micah's prop -- a tool to foster obedience, or as he calls it "loyalty."
The opposite, imagine this. Micah disrespects Arthur to his face, says "not my fault everything is bad" then blatanly walks up to Dutch and puts on a fake voice just to show how Dutch is butter in his hands. Dutch's: "it's all coming together" sounds so sad and depressing.
Every times things escalate, Micah just gets up and goes near Dutch That just shows how much of a coward he is In fact, the only time Micah attacked Arthur, was when Arthur was the most vulnerable, mere minutes from dying
That's how it usually is... Such people know that they're cowards and all, and it hurts their ego. They have an increasing sense of inferiority and it gets channelised as asshole-ish, or even downright evil behaviour
Seeing how everyone trusts Arthur shows how strong he's proven to be among all his years in the band, they probably see him as the second leader since Hosea isn't around anymore
Oh man, that first scene was actually a perfect moment to start a little beatdown. He always had Charles, John and Sadie ready to go. They could've had it at least as a cutscene, where Arthur uppercuts him and tells him to stfu and never get into his face like that again, then Micah gets up tries to punch him back but gets another hit instead. Then Joe jumps him, then Charles tackles Joe and beats him up. Cleet helps Micah up and then tries to kick Arthur while he's getting up, but Arthur blocks his kick and throws a nice hook and Micah punches him from the side and grabs him and throws another hook but Arthur blocks it and headbutts him. Then John throws a liverpunch and grabs Micah by his neck and chokes him from behind and Sadie jumps Cleet from the side and beats him up. Then Dutch comes in and separates John and Micah and tells everyone to stop and they get up and just look at each other. That would've been so awesome, especially seeing Arthur, John, Charles and Sadie strong on one side and Micah, Cleet and Joe all beat up on the other side lmfao Ah I bet if they were still alive, Sean, Lenny and even Kieran would back him up too, dammit... With Sean still alive, maybe Karen wouldn't lose herself then and would probably be standing with them in the final stand-off.
@@kdanimations5573 I mean, I get it, his work ruins lives of Debtors and is Completely Dishonest. But I don't really get the whole "Honest Bandit" thing. Like, Arthur is a great guy (on a high honour playthrough) and Arthur is Certainly honest with himself and others. But Arthur is still going to be making alot of Widows, y'know? Even if you never kill a single innocent throughout the whole game (Which is harder than it sounds), Arthur is still going to be gunning down cops in Saint Denis, Shooting up half of Valentine to Rob a Bank, and Fighting the American Military. He's Honest about it, but the sheer amount of Corpses he's leaving behind is was more Destructive than the Debts Strauss issues. Strauss is certainly scummy in his Profession, there's no way I'll argue against that. But it's his job for the gang. It's a shitty job, and he clearly takes enjoyment in it, which is pretty bad, but his Work still provides for Dutch, and he's amiable to everyone else. Micah, is clearly not nice in any regard. (Yes, you COULD argue he has redeeming qualities, but still.) Strauss however is clearly invested in the Gang, refuses to give info to the Pinkerton's while they are torturing him, and will even save Javier's life on a mission, despite not being a fighter like Arthur, Javier, Charles, ect. So yeah, Strauss is pretty Scummy, but give him some credit guys. Don't lump him up with Micah.
I honestly think Micah had some sort of admiration for Arthur in the beginning, but it was drowned out by jealousy. He wanted to be like Arthur because he knew Arthur was strong, and not just physically. Some people think it Arthur was cooler with Micah Micah would've ended up liking Arthur and becoming friends but Micah is the type that doesn't consider anyone a friend. He even said "there's no better look than one from a feller that you shoot when he thought you were his best friend". So even if you thought Micah was a great friend to you he would kill you no matter what
@@natemanning924 Yeah in the end it was Tahiti but they considered both before Hosea's death. I was honestly predicting they would end up in Australia by the end of the game and RDR3 would be set in Australia since people there were a lot like the Wild West.
I can see how rdr3 would work easily in Australia. Could use the same engine. Lots of similar landscapes, animals to shoot, cattle ranches, gold mines, outlaw gangs & native tribes to encounter
I dont know if anybody else here did this but after Micah leaves the table after talking to Arthur i antagonized Joe and Arthur said: _"what the hell are you looking at you crossed eyed fool?"_ Arthur knew that attacking Micah would cause all out war in camp but he wasnt dodging smoke from Micah's little helpers.
I disagree. Horeshoe Overlook is way more lively than Colter and Clemens Point is the most beatiful scenery there is. Also Clemens Point is when the gang has the highest moral, partying often. But after that? Yeah, total shitshow after that.
Good thing that micah found those 2 people and gave the gang some strenght, i think they will be pretty helpfull in the rest of the story, might even save Arthur :)
@DeadlyNeedle ! Fucking hilarious that you're saying "be open minded" yet arthur and john were open minded, and saw the corruption of Dutch and his followers. Yet you judge them and say Arthur and John went against the gang lmao. Fuck outta here
DeadlyNeedle ! What the hell did you just say!? Micah and Dutch destroyed the gang. Dutch kept putting the gang in more danger, Micah turned into a fucking traitor, and the gang was falling apart, everybody was having doubts and fears and Arthur saw it coming he knew if he didn't step up everybody would die they would all get captured by the Pinkertons or law and literally die. The rest of the gang members that fled saved themselves from the fate of the group Dutch Van Der Linde was fooled by Micah Bell and in the end the gang paid the price
The clip at 2:59 makes me think if micah wasn’t such a manipulative sociopath and this was genuine I could have really liked him (on top of that in my first play through he was lowkey one of my most liked characters but that quickly went down hill when he came more and more manipulative racist etc I honestly wish there was another entire version of this game where Arthur doesn’t get sick and micah is either a real good bloke or dead)
I did not see any of this because I spent almost no time in the last camp. Everyone left, was always arguing with each other, or just never talked. So I mostly just was out hunting or doing stranger missions
I never realized how much absolute hate was in Arthurs voice whenever he spoke to Micah. So sad hearing him absolutely struggling in end, especially with most of his own family turning against him. Incredible voice acting.
3:23 i like how he still paid Arthur his dues. Sorta like "wish you were on my side, you're so damn useful." Whether they admit it or not, they work damn well as a team and are probably two of the best guns in camp (since John isnt on his prime yet)

Why did he say it like that lol
@@shay3929 because he was kissing dutch's ass and was pretending to care about him
The way Micah talks about Arthur, I actually wonder if he really did consider him his friend or if it was another of his manipulation tactics
Nah all manipulation. Thats why Arthur says "I'm not buying this new friendly act of yours"
@DeadlyNeedle ! why are you referring to yourself as Micah u fucking weirdo
@@lewiswebster7975 I was thinking the same thing lmao
Micah is a prick most of the time, but I think he genuinely liked Arthur as a fighter. He's one of those edgy boys who try too hard to play the big guy, and surely he despised Arthur's way of handling his situation, but at the same time I think he respected him. He's boasting with his new friends, yet he mentions Arthur saved his life. If it was just manipulation, he would not have exposed himself like that.
Even while calling him names, Micah always shows respect and appreciation for Arthur's skills during the story
0:25 is the only time I’ve ever agreed with Micah, beaver hollow was so goddamn depressing somebody please play ring dang doo or something
Except when he says "everything's going to be fine"
When Micah was talking about how Arthur saved him. It looked like he was feeling regret for a moment. It's the first time out of the entire series where he felt regret, remembering he saved his life got shot afterwards and he's planning on messing him over. It bothered him so much that he started shaking and he had to mentally rationalize and justify it in his head to not feel guilty by saying "back in the day". Ironic little twist people never caught on too.
He was just manipulating like when you were riding to meet colm he said he worries about people in the camp
@@koolkat518 Before Chapter 3 or during Chapter 2, Micah genuinely wished he and Arthur were friends.
I was about to ask where Micah was in rdr1 but i just remembered we killed him at the end of rdr2
Well, that and this game was made afterward with Arthur, Micah and most of the other gang members being introduced in RDR2.

Uhuhhhuhu he said cowpoke huhuhuhuuhuh
I replayed this game and I can already see the difference between Arthur at the beginning with blind loyalty to Dutch and the end with his faith in Dutch wavering as he slowly becomes more unhinged and having Micah as the devil in his shoulder
But also him becoming closer to the people within the camp, when Sean died in his journal Arthur said he kind of like him. With Hosea as well Arthur said that he was a father figure to him. John, uncle, Abigail, Jack, Sadie, Charles, Lenny, Karen etc
Arthur is the true absolute badass
I hope that in my second playthrough of this awesome game when I antagonize the shit out of Micah throughout the entire game I won't get kicked out of the camps.
You don't. I always do it. Thankfully nobody cares in the camp :D
Crazy, because the game won't even let me antagonize Micah half the time. The option is nearly always grayed out for me, which frustrates me to no end.
1:42
You can really see how the camp dynamic has changed. Micah sits at the head and center with two loyal goons at his side who would have no trouble killing anyone there. Dutch sits off to the side, and when Miss Karen goes to complain, she doesn't even acknowledge him. At this point, Dutch is Micah's prop -- a tool to foster obedience, or as he calls it "loyalty."
whynot-tomorrow? Joe appreciates killers that being Micah and Cleet isn’t as bad as the two as at least he had standards on who he kills
@@trash1170 cleet tried to do good he tried to stop Micah, joe and Micah are really the only animals in this game

Dutch's: "it's all coming together" sounds so sad and depressing.
Every times things escalate, Micah just gets up and goes near Dutch
That just shows how much of a coward he is
In fact, the only time Micah attacked Arthur, was when Arthur was the most vulnerable, mere minutes from dying
0:24 - 1:04
You can really see how much the gang has changed. There were usually songs playing and people singing. Now its just quiet.
Yeah, that's pretty obvious. Not exactly a revelation.
I love when he goes up to Dutch he goes “how you doing?” In the most aunty way possible.
That would've been so awesome, especially seeing Arthur, John, Charles and Sadie strong on one side and Micah, Cleet and Joe all beat up on the other side lmfao
Ah I bet if they were still alive, Sean, Lenny and even Kieran would back him up too, dammit... With Sean still alive, maybe Karen wouldn't lose herself then and would probably be standing with them in the final stand-off.

Strauss was captured by the Pinktertons and tortured after being thrown out of camp but he never said a thing and then got killed by the Pinkertons
@@a.k5680 and I respect him for that, but his work was horrible- all of them were😔
@@kdanimations5573 I mean, I get it, his work ruins lives of Debtors and is Completely Dishonest.
I really like how Micah knows perfectly how Arthur regrets saving his life in Strawberry during Chapter 2 and so reminds him that every time he can.
