I have requested GT already to do a podcast..but he did not respond. I think its only fair to have his side of everything, instead of using his name to constantly generate interest and click bait city.
Dude it's the truth! James was so gnarly. He made racing so much better. You could always see how stiff his set-ups were on the bikes. They skipped & deflected off pebbles damn near. One of the best times in moto-history for sue. I'll check out AJ's vid too- pros always know how to break things down in a way we mortals couldn't possibly understand on THAT exact level. We see it, they feel it. 🤘
Hey man, I was the dude talking shit about the perm. I commented that, but figured I'd comment on a recent. Dude I love ur show, but ur fire ass reply has cemented u as one of my favorite fucking people. COME TO TEXAS AND HIT THESE RAMPS IN MY BACKYARD!!!!
As far as what goes? Seriously most talented at finding lines and corner speed and hit quads? Most talented at going dumb fast and nearly crashing but saves it? Most talented at starts and race craft? He was dumb fast he was very talented and he some cool shit but he crashed non fucking stop. Fucking Dungey or RV were very capable of finding a stupid line twisting the throttle and saying fuck it 50/50 I crash or it works out. Just saying if he was the most talented rider ever his results (450) really don’t show it. He came in RC smoked him for two years he had 2 good years when only chad was in the class then god his head kicked in BY the Ryan’s. Villopoto came in 4 years after stew won 41 mains 4titles 2 outdoor titles and retired before James.
@@LTR1420 I love Stewart. Best 125cc rider of all time, it’s just gets old hearing about how stew is the best, stew is the fastest ever, stew is the most talented, stew is the goat. It’s gets old. He raced longer than RC, RV and Dungey and they all have twice as many titles. RV came in after him and left before him and won 41 races and 4 titles in 6 years. But stew is this ducking GOD for crashing as much as he finished and winning half the titles as the Ryan’s in twice the time. If he was so naturally gifted and talented then why couldn’t he keep it on 2 wheels? Why did he constantly make mistakes. Why is his crash compilation 20 minutes long? Was he fast and nutty and have style? Yes. But crashing as often as him isn’t exactly an indication of most talented ever. His 125 career was badass loved it and while had some great moments on a 450 it’s very underwhelming.
In most instances he is staying on the gas through a swap to straighten the bike out and keep it moving forward. Doing that actually increases your chance of riding a swap out.
Yeah. When in doubt throttle out absolutely applies to swaps. Letting off only makes them worse. David Bailey even goes into that during his 40th to first charge at Southwick in '03 or '04 if you watch the broadcast.
@@bunnyman6321 yeah, you would assume that, but after watching a couple videos you realize he doesn't. I think he tries hard to make his videos sound good. Mathes makes fun of him for a reason lol.
Wasn’t it the Dungey cut off that made James go down and gave him a concussion that ended his career? I believe that was his last crash before announcing his retirement
May have been the fastest guy to ever race supercross. He was so fast he could not psychically stay on the bike. It was nuts to witness during his career.
most insane James crashes where the Daytona one where hes trying to get back on his bike and falls back over and then gets on it and keeps going and the one he landed on ricky at unadilla i believe
the reason you stay on the gas when you are sideways is because the bike is always trying to straighten itself out. 99 percent of the time staying on the gas is a better crash then letting off.
I think it's also just probability too, if you're constantly on the edge, the chances just increase the more laps you put in, especially as mental and physical fatigue inevitably sets in. I don't know if Stewart got arm pump, but imagine the guys who do and try to keep pace.
Not implying these guys are noobs by any means!!! But like i always found it weird of new dirtbike riders always peg it when they start loosening control... I had sooo many freinds get on my 2 stroke KTM 300 and wipe out doin the pegging thing.🤷♂️
@@GYPSYTALES it does. Makes as much sense as; I’m a better sales trainer than I am a salesperson. I train salespeople who eclipse me when they follow my training syllabus. Doesn’t mean I’m not great, just means that I train better than I sell.
Its not a special rider I had some almighty crashes, but worst one was getting landed on (CR125)with crankcase coming down on my shoulder then footpeg peeling off my lower arm skin from inside of my elbow to the wrist flayed by the serated foot peg, then poleaxed by a other rider........2 corners back I broke my collarbone on the 1st lap(on a KX100) while in 4th place at the East of England Cambridge Schoolboy National in 1990.
He retired because the AMA fucked him over about a perfectly legal prescribed drug he needed for a health issue “Adderall” he was prescribed it and it gave him zero benefits on the track. It’s crazy how lucky yet unlucky he was, definitely the fastest guy on the planet on a dirt bike hands down and he did not deserve what happened at all. It’s a shame cause he had at least 1 more title in him for sure.
I think Bubba just got burned out. He’d been racing since he was a small child, and it seems like he’d just had enough of the pressure of racing dirtbikes. After he took the summer off from motocross in 2009 he was never the same.
I've often said he was too fast for conditions and physics as we know it...crashed himself out. The fastest rider ever but RC had better race craft; knew when to tone it down.
Different level fast dudes 40 to 58 %faster than the other 38 on the track id would go 39 but bubba punted him on the starting gate wuth #2; sign up dude said fuk it i gotta go piss
From the horizon to the other side. The size of his balls. I was at a race in Det I think it was. He almost crashed coming up on a guy. But he made up like 100 yards in 3 sec. guy in a rhythm section. He turns and is 10 bike lengths behind. 2 hops and hes jamming down a rhythm. Like trying to cut a jump down. Cause in like 2 sec he's about to land on the guy who was 10 bike lengths ahead. His close speed was sick. 6 laps. Chad and RC are on one side of the track/stadium fighting for 2nd. James is on this side. Unbeatable when on! Unbearable!

When you post such great content aj why do you expect 😉
A video on a video of JS7’s crashes. Love the content 😂
AJ...ur content is always great. I wish u were around when I was racing.
Right? They could have linked the video and been truly greatful about it 😆

Anyone else like Gypsy’s video before you watch it or nah? Good stuff fam!
Ofc man

Just shitty imitations NEVER duplicated.
There'll never gonna be another JS7...
AJ has a ton of great content and seem to be a pretty cool dude overall. But those 2 videos about JS7 crashing... Great content.

Stiff suspension is how he was so fast on the whoops speed and hard suspension allowed him to glide on top of them

I agree that AJ in underrated
He was always on the edge. 1st or dnf.

If JS7 was smarter and dialed it back some. He would have won more titles.
Maybe. But then he wouldn’t be the same JS7 that he’s legend for being
