In 1992 after I came home from the Army, my Mom and Dad took me back to WV to fish for trout at a trout farm ( I think it was 50 cents per inch back then). I hooked and landed a 5 lb. rainbow trout. It measured 29 1/4" long and I got that fish for FREE because the owner let anything under 9" and over 29" go for free. I grilled it wrapped in foil with butter, pepper and fresh lemon juice. My wife-to-be and I ate until we were stuffed and still needed my Mom to help polish it all off. Mom netted the fish while I was yelling, "Mom, Mom! Get the net!!" She came strolling up, with her cigarette in her mouth, saying "What'cha hurry?" Then she saw that huge tail flap on the surface and said, "Oh, shit!"

Cole when you are meat fishing, my old pap used to say, “son, a fish on the stringer, is worth 2 in the river”!
Cole that would have been a pretty nice stringer of 5 rainbow had you kept the 2 biggest you released. I know, I know, you can never tell what you will catch, but had you not caught anything else you would still have had a decent meal for your catch and cook.

Cole I have been watching yours and Jay videos. I'm concerned about the way you handle trout. If you intend to release the trout wet your hand before you handle them. That slime that gets all over your hands is their protection. Dry hands removes this slim coating and leaves the fish in danger of developing a fungus on their skin. This is a deadly situation for trout and can be passed on to other trout. With the grip you apply holding them is also dangerous and can cause internal damage. I know wetting your hand makes it harder to hold the fish but you can save it's life and watching you I know you would not intentionally harm anything. I've been trout fishing my whole life and I"m 74 now. The biggest rainbow trout I ever caught had that fungus all over it. I should have killed it but didn't have the heart to do so. If you want some really good eating trout fish a river with wild trout. Those stocked trout taste like the meal the feed them at the hatchery. They need a month or so to get that out of their system. I hope I have not offended you a lot of fisherpersons do not know about the risk to trout. I enjoy your videos especially the trout and crappie fishing. It's hard to beat crappie fried for dinner. Sincerly Michael Reid

I couldn’t remember the regs for brown trout in this river off the top of my head and honestly just prefer to release the browns here. There aren’t a ton of them in this river

I STRONGLY refuse to let my kids watch the new gay Buzz Lightyear stuff. They can choose on their own later but why is sexuality being exposed to toddlers????? It’s just INSANE.

Those were some pretty fish. But why did you only keep rainbows and not brown trout. I have cook them both and i loved them both, and brook to, but brooks are always smaller. But they are a smaller trout any ways. God bless you and your whole family...🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀

The regs on brown trout are different at this place and I couldn’t remember them haha but honestly I prefer to release the browns in this river. There isn’t a huge population of them here. Thanks!!!
