He said on stream that this did not make the album because the line "Gravity dont mean that much to me" was already used in a song by My Chemical Romance. He didn't want it to seem like he "stole" it.

The second verse "screams" get me damn emotional every time. Ronnie is one of few people that can make song lyrics sound like actual cries. It's beautiful, haunting, and honestly some of the most powerful lyrics/vocals I've ever heard.
100% agreed! One of the only other songs that does that too me is Disturbs version of the sound of silence. I feel like that song was meant to be sang by him.

Honestly this one should’ve been the closing track, it’s a top 3 track, were it on the album.
He didn't release the song in the album because the gravity lyrics sounded like a song from my chemical romance, but his fans on twitch convinced him to release it so he did, he's literally all about his fans, he released it for them not for more financial gain, he's truly an amazing person

Ronnie actually wrote this 5 years ago but it didn't make the cut, just fans were desperate for him to release it so he did lmao personally I love the song- sorry if you said this in the video lol I wrote this as soon as I got here, I'd don't go into detail bc I've noticed many other people have got into the MCR stuff xD

I think it didn't make it to the album not because of the song itself but because of the theme and message is really similar to the song "Coming Home", which is the main song of the album
Still the rest of the music in the album is really soft and not as extreme as other albums
Also I would recommend you to listen to the album "Just like you", it doesn't have a lot of rap but instead a lot of energy :)

(My personal opinion) I believe he kept this song in the folder because of Derek. Coming home is not only a tribute to his daughter but also i tribute to Derek's wife (correct me if I'm wrong) but if you think about it, it all ties together because ronnie made his 3rd and final tribute with REVAMPED because Derek picked ronnie up from jail and this was one of the first 3 songs they recorded together PLUS both Ronnie and Paige died at the end together ... far reach... but Rest In Heaven Derek!!!

Been diving into your reactions man, they're really good! I'm also a big Ronnie/FIR fan! If you haven't hit up the trilogy Losing My Mind, Losing My Life and Drugs...do it!! Also Ronnie has commented that he didn't think Carry On fit the album and wasn't good enough! He said he still doesn't think the song would have been this big if it was released on Coming Home!

He actually said yesterday why it didn't make it to album. "Gravity don't mean that much to me" was part of another song from another band, not entirely sure if he heard this phrase before writing the song, but it seemed to be main reason.

I would recommend checking out this album. The title track is great and my other two favorites from the album are "Superhero" and "I'm Bad at Life." Gives me an airy 80's-esque feel overall. And when I listen to "Losing My Mind" I get a feeling he wasn't totally over the sound he had in this album.

I think they preferred Coming Home. Some also see this as a tribute to Derek (rip) and therefore a bit to personal if that makes sense

Effing great song, and we all know they got signed thanks to MCR so I feel like it's more a nod to them than stealing a line. but I can see how he wouldn't want that image of using someone elses' line. Coming Home had a lot less rap if I remember correctly... I've been waiting ever since he said he was going to release this on the stream... its been 2 months, now I can spam it on Spotify xD

I know a lot of bands record more songs than they need for the album and every member votes for an equal amount of the songs they want to include on the next album. That could have happened with this song. Or they just thought that the other songs on the album were a bit better/more like what they wanted than this one.

That was definitely not it (with other bands it's true). Ronnie writes all the music and makes all the decisions for FiR.
