when I was 23 years old in 1991, my friend and I went to her ranch (from London, England) as I was a huge fan. We crept upto the main building to take a foto on the steps and a gardener told us to go the other side of the gates. I told him I came from London just see Loretta's famous ranch. THEN..... 10 minutes later there was a tap on my shoulder as we were walking round the gift shop. Guess who it was? correct! He told Loretta that I came all that way to see her ranch and she came and found me to greet me and thank me for coming.
She was absolutely lovely, seemed very interested in me, asking me all about myself etc. made me feel at ease and welcome. there was I, this little boy form the UK chatting to the biggest name in country music. to say it was a dream come true is an understatement. one of those moments that will never happen again.
I believe that when Loretta Lynn passed away it was the end of the era. they simply dont exist like that now.
RIP you wonderful woman.

Conway and Loretta were good together she would make him smile and laugh bring out if his she'll rest in peace Loretta and Conway❤
Conway's style on stage was intentionally not to do a lot of "extra", and let the song be the star. Loretta wanted the crowd to feel relaxed, enjoy the show, and everyone have fun (including the performers). Conway was a little uneasy in crowds, which is why he didn't hold a lot of autograph/photo ops. Loretta made him see just how important mingling with the ones who bought your records was...and, eventually, he grew more comfortable with it. 2 legends, 2 styles that complimented each other and made a legendary duo! Rest In Peace Conway and Loretta.
Her performance of Tingle is incredible. I have listened to it over and over again.
