Loretta Lynn (née Webb; born April 14, 1932)[1] is an American country music singer-songwriter with multiple gold albums in a career spanning almost 60 years. She is famous for hits such as "You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man)", "Don't Come Home A' Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)", "One's on the Way", "Fist City", and "Coal Miner's Daughter" along with the 1980 biographical film of the same name. Lynn has received numerous awards and other accolades for her groundbreaking role in country music, including awards from both the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music as a duet partner and an individual artist. She is the most awarded female country recording artist and the only female ACM Artist of the Decade (1970s). Lynn, has sold more than 45 million albums worldwide, scored 24 number one hit singles, and 11 number one albums. Lynn continues to tour, appear at the Grand Old Opry and release new albums. She is recognized by the strength and quality of her voice still today, as well as her down to earth, quick wit and humor.

You were a special part of my life as I listened to you growing up when my Mama played your music, and after her death, your music was a way to remember my mother. I continued your music, introducing you to my girls who loved you too. Fly high, our angel, and serenade the angels and all of our loved ones in Heaven. You will be missed so much!
My Mamaw loved her music and she introduced me to her music and I love it when I listen to her music makes me feel like my Mamaw is still with me
I also grew up to her beautiful voice and feisty spirit. My brother and i went to see her and Conway in Toronto once. I loved every song she sang. Both her and Conway put a lot of heart and soul in their songs they wrote and sang.
I went to the same school as Loretta, Van Lear but about 4 years behind her. my grandfather was coal miner too.

I grew up in the little town of Custer, WA. pop. around 300. Mrs. Lynn was its only claim to fame. She lived there in the 50's, winning blue ribbons at the county fair for her pickles & singing at local wooden floored, sawdust strewn honky tonks & taverns.
