This brings back memories as I just moved to Philadelphia and it was my first full year living there.
As I remember KYW used to be a Cleveland station on channel 3 and used the same promo song.
I still get goosebumps hearing this.
So do I.
Here's a modern rendition of the song: ruclips.net/video/qJ3ekGGReaQ/видео.html
Anyone else wondering how things would be like if KYW-TV and WCAU-TV never changed/switched their CBS and NBC affiliations in 1995?

Why is there a CNN Logo in a rainbow format? 0:11
To better explain it to you, if there was a program that was first recorded on a VHS tape, and all or part of the program was taped over, then at the beginning of the new recording you would see some remnants of the old one in that so called 'rainbow' format. Hope this answers your question.
