- I'm going back to a childhood classic today with Lego Creator Harry Potter! Will I be able to relive all my favourite childhood memories? Will this old Lego game run smoothly with no problems at all? Is it also still very weird? I dunno. Stop asking me so many questions! God.
Be sure to catch me on Twitch and hit the bell so you know when I'll be live!

I would spend hours playing this as a kid. I remember it being filled with stuff to build, do, and mess with, and it all felt so huge. I went back to it and yeah, it's better as a childhood memory than a game
Yeah but what a great memory, I remember thinking "How could it get better than this, trains!!!"
Same here!! I remember trying it on my grandpa's pc and it could barely run it then having to download it onto my dad's haha, remember watching videos on it yeaaars ago and it definitely did not age well lmao
Hahaha yes it was amazing. I randomly remembered this game now 20 years later 😂
whoa. this makes me want the "regular" lego harry potter playthrough from you
I 100% the Lego years 1-4 and 5-7. They’re okay for a normal run, but 100%ing them is just so annoying… they have a few lame bugs.
Same. That shit was my childhood
I had the medieval lego game which was exactly the same as this game but replace all the Harry Potter characters with medieval guys.
I remember one medieval character would constantly sing "zippidee doo dah...bah bah ding" repeatedly, it was cursed and its burned into my brain forever
Lego Creator Knights Kingdom! That game ruled
HELL YES!! THIS WAS MY GAME AS A KID!!!
it sucked, but I LOVED IT
I would play this a lot I remember Dumbledore walking around saying Peter? Peter? Peter? looking around for Peter Pettigrew
This game was so much damn fun for a 5-year old. So much to do
The good old days before we developed taste, and could enjoy pretty much anything...
One trick to this game that definitely isn't tutorialized ingame (maybe the manual elaborates I can't remember) is that the "Action Button" (wand book) is the means by which you get to different maps. So when you were in Diagon alley, clicking the glowing brick wall thing while using the wand/magic option leads you to the Platform 9 3/4 map where you did the train challenge thing, and clicking the glowing archway in Diagon Alley will lead you to the Hogwarts interior (where the maze mission was set). The ensuring network also gives you access to the outside of hogwarts (which was where the broom mission was set).
There's even a whole mess of "secret" areas that are accessed when you place certain objects in the world that have glowing bits. Putting Hagrid's hut out in the outside Hogwarts map lets you click it with the wand to go inside said hut, and various objects in the Hogwarts interior map lets you go to various rooms like the Great Hall, Snape's room, Gryffindor quarters and the corridor that leads to the Sorcerer's Stone.
Really there's a fair few layers to the game, and I feel like I'm one of the few aware of them. I really should try making a video myself or something.
Sounds fascinating, I'd really like it if you made that video.
These were the types of games that when you finished them you got to print out a certificate!
This was the Minecraft of its time. You gotta look at Lego Creator: Knights' Kingdom next.
A medieval town square full of giant spiders sounds like a fun time, actually! They could help me carry groceries!
That sounds like TES Arena with all it's city goblins and stuff
Holy crap, I remember this game and how difficult it was to get running, then how it absolutely chugged on the family PC to a point that it was unplayable. The best part was this was the only PC game we had for several years so I’d just endure the slideshow of a game because it’s all we had. I don’t think I ever got past that first part, honestly.
Just in time for bed, thanks and greetings from Germany to Ireland 😁🍻
I don't think there's a game that's more nostalgic to me - the music, sounds and animations, everything! Super clunky, of course.
This is back from the days before they actually had real skin tones for Legos. I don't remember when they first made the switch but I know it was after 2002 because Attack of the Clones LEGO sets still had all the characters in yellow.
It was 2003 in fact.
YO I LOVED THIS AS A KID! I FINALLY KNOW THE TITLE
This brings back nostalgia, I don’t remember if I played this myself or watched others but I immediately recognized the game upon seeing the first frame
This is peak gaming and you cannot convince me otherwise.
Seeing this makes me appreciate the klunk and creativity of older games.
I owned this as a kid but didn't have a pc with good enough specs to actually play lol so thanks for allowing me to pretend I get the nostalgia with everything I couldn't access haha
That actually makes me think about one box I had as a child with 3 cd in it. It was Lego stunt rally, Lego creator knights kingdom and Lego Racer 2
Ah good old days
Man I was not ready to be teleported back to the freaking 4th or 3rd grade when all I had to worry about was connecting to the freaking slow-as-a-geriatric internet to finish an assignment because I knew that the post-Survivor/Amazing Race phone call was going to happen. Man, thanks Micky. I sorta needed that. I grew up playing Lego Racers and a demo disk for the Kingdom/Medieval Creator game. Nearly fell out of my chair hearing that theme again.
I had knights kingdom too! Really want to play that too soon
@@MickyD have you thought about doing a Morrowind playthrough I'd like to see you play that and maybe give people tips and tricks along the way also sorry for asking on this video it's just the newest video also keep up the amazing work I haven't seen this game in what feels like eons
I was stuck on the broomstick level for several days because I didn't understand how to get him to attach to the broomstick.
NO WAY, people actually remember this game?? BASED!
-It's actually not really that good, but I enjoyed it as a kid somewhat, lmao-
Wow I was just rewatching the ps2 chamber of secrets series(the best), and then this came up in the notifications. So good
Jerma will end up in every fandom it doesnt matter how obscure you get
Lego rock raiders, Lego chess, Lego island and Lego racers are my childhood
Dude, Lego Rock Raiders o. PC was the shit!
Cool Ron forgot his fedora as he bowed to you, "M'lady".
This is like a battle royale if no one died they just wandered around
This game made my childhood. I always just made custom maps full of trains and I'd play as a dragon every time
DUDE. I remember playing the original Lego Creator when I was a smol lad, the original creating all city chaos and modded sounds of item selectors and such with profanities and fads of the era what a time to be alive.
Mannnnn that was a fly game, I loved blowing shit up because 1x2 tile with a dynamite bundle painted on it is enough apparently
I'd love to see more classic lego games on this channel, but I do realize how nightmare-ish it can be trying to get them to run.
How did I forget this. The memories are coming back to me
Ah yes, Cardiff. Where the real magic happens.
The nostalgia. THE NOSTALGIA!!!!
From now on "Girl Ron" is my favourite Harry Potter character.
I always remember being too chickenshit to go in the cave with the troll in it, I didn't realize that it was actually harmless
God the creator games take me back to a much simpler time in my life. My brothers and I would play them along with Lego Island 2 and Lego Racers 2.
Dude I had such a stressful day. I am so happy a new video is out! My favorites of yours is the Elder Scrolls videos, Lego, and Harry Potter so this is great!
Love your content. Could watch your stuff constantly. Had a blast watching all your backlog. Keep up the good work mate. ❤️
I got this with a box of cereal. Back when they put prizes in a cereal box. It really set the bar for the game's quality.
I remember playing a demo of this game that came inside one of the Harry Potter DVDs, I distinctly remember trying to glitch the game using the wooden boat.
I remember playing this game a lot Dumbledore always saying Peter? Peter? Peter?
Man much appreciated on all the new vids! You're one of the most consistently awesome content creators!
oh HELL YEAH this was my jam back in the day, pretty much all these lego video games like rock raiders and star wars
this game is pure gold, next up: lego creator knights kingdom
Oh yeah ! One of my childhood game
Every time I think about these old games you somehow play them ooof
Petition for Micky to play Lego Harry Potter years 1-4
I remember playing the demo version of this so mutch!
Hagrid's voice in this game is legendary.
Have a happy day Micky, enjoying your videos. Keep up the good work!
No lie, Lego Racers was an amazing game, and I loved it growing up.
I played this as a kid. Really takes me back. Thanks, Mick!
Dude I have mega agoraphobia how could you place a spider literally crying rn. Lego spider traumatized my agoraphobia.
If you ever decide to play this again and you want to build another custom building, you can hold down shift while dragging to raise the bricks in the air and lower them.
Thats how you get them on top of each other. Also I don't blame you for not knowing this. The game never tells you this.
Bringing me nostalgia on a platter and occasionally making jerma references? You continue to earn kudos, Michael D
Bro I frigging love your videos. Your editing kills me.
Possibly the most nostalgic game ever for me. Like the #1 spot. Awesome video; thank you for letting me relive the memories!
This WAS the gameplay I came for and IS the gameplay I love to see from the one and only Micky D.
This brings back so many memories for me when I was a kid
I love how it looks. I hope we get to see more of the game!
the lego island charm with a hp spin lol wow
Yeah so I'm gonna need a full series to put on loop and listen too all day at work for this game now too.
Man, I forgot this existed! It’s been forever since I played this game as a kid. I don’t think I own the game anymore, but I used to fuck around in this game a lot, even though I wasn’t terribly creative when it came to creator sim games like this.
Hagord's hair helmet frightens me.
Micky you've just unlocked a core memory for me.
Your elder scrolls content is my favorite but I’ll still browse these videos
15:37
Here you can hear the last of Micky D's braincells shutting down forever.
A big F for that trooper. o7
The massive (accurate) digs at the council are absolutely brilliant Mick
This game brought more happiness to me than every single Bethesda game combined.
Oh dam this take me back I had this and rollercoaster tycoon on my old windows 98 family computer
This is the first real video game I played.
Irish man: "Haven't played this game since the famine"
rip lol
This was one of my first games as a kid I got it at 6 or 7 years old for Christmas in 2001
This is definitely game of the year material
Made my day to see that you're a fan of Jerma as well.
I remember a friend of mine having this and we'd play it at his house on his Windows 98. It used to bluescreen lol
Man i had all those old harry potter lego sets, this brings back memories
I played this so much as a kid.
I played the hell out of this game when I was a kid! So much nostalgia.
wow gone to an old Lego Game, that is great my friend. hope you do the Racers or the Castle series sometime
This was a brickin great time mate thanks!
Had a good chuckle when the scene first animated. What a unique game.
God I remember playing this game soley to make an elaborate track layout for the hogwarts express
Finally someone that has a good take
God, this was the beginning of my childhood.
Lego needs to start making the figures based off of movies and franchises have yellow skin and cartoonish faces again.
I played the demo of this game from the dvd disk of either the first or second movie. I spent hours playing it on the hogwarts map. I remember once getting harry stuck on a boat in the middle of the lake.
Oh my god I never thought I'd see this game again
Omg i forgot lego racers existed until you mentioned it in this video.
That game was great
How do you forget about Lego Racers? I think about Lego Racers. A lot.
@@NEEDbacon too much childhood memories is filled with "I'd rather have a bowl of coco pops".
TV brainwashing is a thing
I remember playing this at a friends when i was a wee lad, i thought it was cool as hell. Also remembering the play area as waaaay larger than it is in this vid.
PLEASE speedrun this game it would be so funny
I used to play this alot as a kid, so many memories lmao
You had to click on the top right to stack bricks haha
Never played this, but I can imagine I would have loved it back in the day if I had.
Oh man, this brought back so many repressed memories
Good times
Nice meeting you again Micky, feels like we last seen yesterday....oh
One of my all time favorite games from my childhood
Love your content!
Oh no, Hermione turned into Dana Scully from X-Files!
This guy is the best gaming channel
Ooooohhhh mmmmy god! This game was my childhood. So few play it. I can't wait to see a video of some one exploring it. 😍
I believe there was another one like this but medieval Lego. Or maybe just my childhood warping views.
There was also another lego creator harry potter for chamber of secrets.
