- Bhangra Empire performs at Halftime of the Golden State Warriors game as they take on the Dallas Mavericks. This was the largest group performance Bhangra Empire has ever put together. It included 20 dancers, 4 chimtas, and 4 dholis. Special thanks to the Golden State Warriors organization as well as the NBA for the amazing footage!

this is really a proud moment because NBA chose bhangra over hip-hop etc. which is not a small thing!

Trouble is that the audience was completely unresponsive.
You must be hard of hearing. At 1:35, they mixed your bhangra with hip hop because hip hop influences everyone and basically runs the music world (even your people's music, apparently). I believe you were just proud to see Indian ppl instead of Black.
I'm not even Indian but why do i feel so proud when i see these guys performing...😍😍 OMG this is the worst audience ever! how come they don't even clap?? it was LIT!! :/ btw you guys are awesome!! Love from Sri Lanka ❤❤❤

I'm also not even Indian, neither Sri Lankan 😊 and I feel so proud too when I see these guys performing ❤ they put all their hearts and soul in their dance I feel it and it softens my heart so much when I watch them that it makes me cry with pride and happiness for them 🥲 much love to India, Sri Lanka from somewhere in Russia ❤❤❤

I'm shocked how is the audience not dancing to the groove? The Audience would've gone wild if it was anywhere else in SouthAsia..even in the UK.
I've always said that Indians were the first hip hoppers. The music and dance hasn't changed for centuries. Deep bass and hard rhythms and the drumming...♥️👏👏👏👏🥰

First let me say, I simply Love Bhangra. I noticed many of the comments deriding the crowd for their lack of enthusiasm for this brilliant performance are warranted, but it is from a severe lack of exposure to bhangra in our culture here in the states. Many are just ignorant and do not understand it's origin or it's rich Punjabi roots that represent a large segment of our diverse population in this country. I feel that with increased exposure, and a little education, this very fun form of expression will catch on like wildfire and be widely accepted by everyone.
Tom Biddle Lets be honest here, the crowd are largely fat sports fans who see halftime as a chance to send a few texts, unload some piss, and get another beer and hot dog. They're not going to get riled up over a unique cultural experience.

I’m an older Australian and my best friend is Sikh. This dance the costuming the musical instruments is not just Punjabi it is uniquely Sikh must not forget that. The colour is simply beautiful 🙏🙏

Because there were no half naked, big bottomed girls twerking while singers grab their crotches. This was "CLEAN" entertainment and so it wasn't interesting. Sad state of our society. I apologize for the brainless Americans... we can really be dense sometimes.

kuku sh there's nothing called India culture. India is a sub continent that has many different cultures like Tamilian culture or hindi culture or punjabi culture. So this is punjab culture. And there's nothing like an Indian gene. Different race in India has different genes. For example we jatts are a scythian race so we carry the scythian genes as the jutes of Germany.
