See the difference in texture of both voices at 3:42 . Without being disrespectful to Diljit's voice, I would say that Gurdas Maan Saab's voice is very smooth.
Diljit is just a beginner when compared to Gurdas Mann Saahab's vast body of work. Plus Diljit's voice is quite nasal whereas the Punjabi Legend sings from his deepest gut and hence that fulfilling voice and tone.

No one can do it better than our Punjabi singers - “Maan Sahab the great”
Its not like it started now it's been years ever since punjab existed the amount of sorrow and violence Punjabis have seen its unimaginable not just in partiton Mongols,Greeks, mugals, pathans so on it's been years since music has helped to get out the sadness and express it in joyfull way its something which kept the minds in check of people otherwise punjabis would have already lost control of themselves with the amount of devastation this place has seen

+EkKhuda 100% agreed bro, my self gurnam singh from jalandhar punjab
+Gurnam Singh..... I belong to Jalandhar India and now I live in Australia with my family to earn everyday living.... I tell my children stories related to Sikh Guru's and also mention places where incidence happened with Guru's(some places in Pakistan and some in India). My 5 years old Daughter said me Guru's might be so sad when they might be seeing that there children's have divided there place behind few greeds. I was shocked when I heard her. Why adults don't understand this?..... There are so many sad emotions attached with India and Pakistan..... Islam, Sikhism, Hindu and all religion teach one main principle of life "HUMANITY". no one cares Indian and Pakistani shaheeds kurbani who faught to free our countries from English People..... waheguru meher karo

Prosperous region of world went into poorest region; just because it’s people didn’t settle their differences by themselves.
@D M Jinnah would've agreed to a truce if Nehru had agreed to make him the first prime minister, even Gandhi supported this solution but Congress didn't want a Muslim leader or maybe Nehru was too arrogant to give up his position, so the Muslim league asked for a separate land, because of this dirty politics, people of Punjab were the ones who had to suffer!

See the difference in texture of both voices at 3:42 . Without being disrespectful to Diljit's voice, I would say that Gurdas Maan Saab's voice is very smooth.
Diljit is a real Punjabi . Down to earth with his original voice. I also agree that no one can match up with Maan Saab. 😊
There shouldn't be any comparison with perfection of one's individual.
Would you compare your performance with Johnny Sins?
@@sagardebbarma185true
Diljit is just a beginner when compared to Gurdas Mann Saahab's vast body of work.
Plus Diljit's voice is quite nasal whereas the Punjabi Legend sings from his deepest gut and hence that fulfilling voice and tone.
I drop in on this comment thread every few months to feel the positivity that this beautiful song is able to generate. This is the kind of positive and honest energy we need to bring people together!

Lot of love from Lahore.
We both punjabs are suffering with this division. I wish i could go Amritsar every day for breakfast.
I live in Singapore and i have many Indian punjabi friends here. I never felt any difference among us. We eat together and hangout together.
Ya Allah, accept my dua.
Go ask those bearded Mullahs of Aligarh who sowed the seed of sedition ......strangely, they still live in India and still spew vitriolic diatribe; latest is refusal to sing Vande Mataram ....Like you, I have many Pakistani friends with who I speak Punjabi. Never felt the difference. You can still come to Amritsar for breakfast but dreaming of one Punjab, Nah! that is not going to happen......Dream on - Steven Tyler (Aerosmith)

I must say I was little skeptical at first since I am a huge fan of Pak Coke Studio but man this was awesome. This eye opening piece just goes to show that pain is shared by both sides and we have allowed ourselves to be bounded by illogical decisions made by our ancestors. I think it is time for change. Who agrees?
So you are asking for reconciliation?

I used to think that India Pakistan and Bangladesh should be merged to form "South Asia" a new federation. I know its impossible but glad that at least one person on this planet earth has similar kind of thinking pattern.
