I’ll wait till gen 5 to upgrade
What would’ve made me consider upgrading from 3 would be:
1. I could charge my phone from the Soundboks battery (usb)
2. An auto shut off option if the Soundboks is left on with no music playing after a certain period of time
3. AI voice or instrument EQ in the Soundboks app
4. Built in LED lights that can move with sound
5. Lighter weight
6. Significantly higher bass capability

Android app needs attention. Has multiple bugs and struggle connecting multiple SB's together half of the time. Love the speakers though. Will I get the Gen 4? Hopefully..

Is it a huge upgrade? No, not really.
Would I buy the 4th when I already have the 3rd? No.
Should you buy the 3rd over the 4th? Absolutely not, the 4th is basically the same as the 3rd except with twice the battery life on max volume, and clearer mids and highs. Its the same as the 3rd except better.
Please put a switch for Bass+/Power/Indoor on the next Soundboks again like there was on the Soundboks 2.
There were so many times where the app couldnt connect to the speaker or where they are people on the AUX that didnt have the app and no internet was available.
Please fix it on the next one 🤩
This. I have problems when connection two SB3 with the app, only the main Box can change the sound settings and volume. Only "left/right/mono" config works.

I have a soundboks go but to me this looks exactly the same as the 3???
You're not wrong! We didn't want to change something that works. The SOUNDBOKS Gen. 3 is built like a tank and we wanted to continue that indestructible tradition with SOUNDBOKS 4. Instead we chose to focus on what really matters, the insides, which have all been upgraded to make the SOUNDBOKS 4 the best it can be on sound, battery life and reliability.
Is there any changes coming to the go???

I thought the 3 was the holy grail of good sound, and goddamn. You guys did the impossible, you did it even better.
The design is good, so yes, why change it. You could change the button with the speaker setup to for example inside/outdoor though. That would be a plus.
Don’t listen to people saying LED lights, he’ll nahhh. They can fkkk right off and buy a Phillips until they mature away from the led lights.
I'm switching from JBL if the sb 5 is really worth it
Just got it today does anyone know if theres any way to get more bass out of it? If theres no way then ill return if. Great speaker for people that like loud music but not for you if u like bass
A small question about the IP65 certification: Is the bass port also IP-certified? In case it rains inside the soundbox.
No when a lot of water gets inside there it is Game Over but no normal rain will get inside there. And I would not advise to let the Soundboks stand in rain for a long period of time…

Please, for the love of bass and all that is holy, please produce a Soundboks that is subwoofers only. Diamondboxx Sub8.2 is really the only decent rechargable option on the market but it doesn't have a removable battery! If you build it, we will buy!
They do have the SB 2 available which is mor3 bass. But that Diamondboxx SUB8.2 is awesome on sound and bass like no other.

altså af hvad jeg kan se af specs på hjemmesiden er den her soundboks den største joke til dato, specs er 95% det samme som på gen 3 også udover det er der knap nogle design ændringer også den dyre? den giver ingen mening i mit hoved
Helt enig, den eneste forskel er grillen og nogle knapper. Og så siger de den spiller lidt bedre, men syntes allerede min SOUNDBOKS 3 spiller fint

Make another EQ ! I have the gen 4 but the stage EQ sounds cheap imo. I know it can reach deep bass with my own EQ. Make one like de gen 3. But this time bass extreme or something ;)

The SOUNDBOKS 4 looks a lot like the SOUNDBOKS 3, true, but sounds and feels nothing like it. Here’s why (it gets a bit geeky here, but since you asked…):
We’ve improved the look by designing a brand new hi-def snap-off grill that allows you to easily make it your own and improving the LEDs in the UI panel for better visuals and animations
We’ve drastically improved the audio performance and quality by redesigning our woofers for better bass + midrange and refactoring our audio routing all-together
We’ve improved the stability and efficiency of the speaker by redesigning our woofers, refactoring our audio routing, merging two PCBAs into a single one, improving the sensitivity and noise floor for XLR inputs, optimizing for lower current consumption on power OFF state, tweaking the SKAA antenna placement for better TeamUp range, and reinforcing the tophat mount
We’ve squeezed 20% more battery life out of the same battery on max volume (compared to the SOUNDBOKS 3) with all the efficiency improvements
We’ve changed the names of our sound profiles in the SOUNDBOKS App to better tailor the sound to some of the most common SOUNDBOKS experiences

Da hast du keinen Fehler gemacht, M1M Tech Channel hat ein Video dazu gemacht, die 3er hört sich besser an als die 4er meiner Meinung nach bzw, die 4er klingt so als würde sie rauschen? Ein bisschen komisch meiner Meinung nach, aber mach dir selbst ein Bild davon.

Also jetzt mal zweo drei Dinge, ihr lasst und ewig warten um dann ohne jegliche Promo ider irgendwas die Soundboks 3 einfach nochmal zu droppen, mit neuem Gehäuse das wars.
Was ist in der Zeit seit die 3er raus kam, entwickelt worden?
Schon die Go war irgendwie nur ein vetrost und auch kein komplett neuer Speaker.
Aber für die 4er fehlen mir jetzt echt die Argumente.
Die Konkurrenz schläft nicht und JBL z.B. macht da schon seit langem ordentlich Druck.
Übrigens für die 3 immernoch 1000 Euro zu verlangen, ist eine Frechheit.
Ich war großer Sounboks Fan, aber es wirkt, als würde das Team seit 5 Jahren schlafen.
Wir wollen keine fancy App, keine überteuerten Tragegurte oder sonst was .
Wa wir wollen sind physische Knöpfe, manueller in und Outdoor Modus, ein brachialer Bass und gut ist!

What happens?
Looks the same as the 3 wish they would have done something to tell them apart.
Also needs to be able to put in different mods not using the app as the app only works if you're connected to the Bluetooth which is annoying. Really wish they would have addressed this issue.
Also why don't we have a dedicated sub yet everyone has been asking for
We made it easier than ever to tell the two speakers apart! Just get them to play music side by side and there's no doubt which one you will prefer. That is a promise!
Soundboks company is trash for doing this, you just did this to make people buy the soundboks 3 again, who cares about the different grill? Who caree about the slightly better sound and bass? This didn't warrant a new speaker at ALL, this is the exact reason there was no hype prior to it's release, yall literally didn't post anything til a day before this shitbox released, people have been begging for a subboke for forever, people have been talking about a soundboks 4 for awhile, this is just a slightly better soundboks 3, yall reason pissed off and disappointed alot of people with this lackluster re-release of the gen3
