If a powerline lands on your vehicle, stay inside!

If a downed powerline ever makes contact with your vehicle, stay inside and call 911 immediately! Do not exit until power is safely disconnected and always assume the ground around a downed line is electrified.
However, if staying inside the vehicle presents an immediate danger, exit the vehicle by jumping out and landing on the ground with both feet. Do not touch the car and the ground at the same time.
