- Hello everyone! This week I sang the Waiting In The Wings from Tangled: The Series!
The Tangled series has such an incredible score and such incredible talent as well. What an absolute dream it is to sing songs from the show!

Say what you will about how Cassandra's character arc was handled. She got to sing some of the best songs of the series.
No, you are so right. I personally think Cass' arc had terrible pacing and could've been handled a lot better, but her songs are absolute BANGERS.

Yeah. Waiting in the Wings, Crossing the Line and Nothing Left to Lose IMO are the top 3 in the show.
I still enjoyed Cass' arc but it definitely had issues. In particular the lead up to her heel turn felt rushed and confused. Like I love Crossing the Line as a song but like...what is she even doing? She has no plan, she has no goal, no actual concrete desire of what she was opportunity she was actually claiming. I feel like things are mostly better handled after she goes bad, though still not perfect. But that initial heel turn was rough and carried hard by a fantastic song that doesn't make all that much sense if you examine the context around it too closely.
This is like, every side character that’s just as good as the protagonist in song form. Amazing work.

it's pretty much the theme of this song, funny enough, there's side characters of this cartoon who are pretty loved by the fandom.
Basically the second season of the animated series, it's just "what if the side characters realized that they were side characters" and it's amazing.

I can't even begin to express how much I loved this. I've always wanted to learn this song but I was waiting until my voice developed enough for me to hit the notes since I have a horrible voice perfection problem...but this was amazing as always! I would absolutely love if you sang The Next Right Thing from Frozen 2, I think it would suit your voice perfectly. Keep up the amazing work Anna!

I said the plot wasn't ALWAYS great (particularly with 3rd season and Cassandra).

I always expect some kind of unbridled disaster when someone covers this (not because cover artists are bad singers, but because the range needed for this song is crazy). Of course, I should have remembered the Prince Ali cover. Of course this was going to be amazing.

OMG! Waiting in the Wings (book by Melissa Brayden). The song also makes me think of The Gravity Between Us by Kristen Zimmer, another lgbt romance based around performance art, but gotta love the title being dead on. In both cases, the character whose career takes off has to choose between love and success, walking away or leaving their lover waiting in the wings.

I loved this song its about working hard on anything only to be overshadowed by someone else but it's also about not giving up and patiently wait for your chance to shine. I immediately think of every underrated Kpop group\singer that have great songs but are always overshadowed by more popular Kpop singers/groups. But they kept working hard to get recognized as one of the best.
