Hi Michael. We are in Ontario looking to possibly move to PEI, but this is dependent on the Doctor accessibility situation. Is there still a shortage there? I know most provinces are dealing with this issue, but have heard the Maritime provinces suffer from this the most. Thanks!
Medical attention on the Island is NOT good. I know this first hand having relatives in Summerside, Charlottetown, and Kensington. You get sent off the island to Halifax, Moncton NB, or St John NB. There is a massive shortage of doctors there, and very few specialists. I was there myself a few years back with my fiance and we are from Ontario. He blew his knee out, we spent from 7am until days end looking for any clinic that could see him. NONE. Something to REALLY look into if moving there.
@@christinapatron1665 Thank you for your advice. I’ve been hearing the same thing, so we’ve already taken it off of our retirement list of places to move to.
@@TikiTrex Yes we did as well PEI is a wonderful place to visit, for us just not a place to live. It's unfortunate because we absolutely love it there. If the healthcare was even remotely close to what we have in Ottawa, then we would move. Your welcome!! :)
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Dhruvi! I was really wondering if these videos would be well received. Thanks for your comments and if there are any questions you have about Prince Edward Island please let me know. Bye.
Hi Adrian. I moved to PEI in 1997 from Ontario and it has been the best move of my life. Do not overanalyze things. Canadians get too much into "analysis paralysis". As Nike says "just do it". If you do not like PEI, you can move back. That's the way I looked at it. Happy to have a frank phone conversation any time. Cheers!
Thanks, Amanda. I appreciate your comment. I made this video for you ruclips.net/video/4SAXsgQGCJc/видео.html Please also shoot me an email with what you are looking to buy and I will set up a search to keep you on top of the market., Have a nice weekend.
Does the school board offer a gifted/enriched program? I can find an article that it was going to vote a few years back, but nothing on the outcome. It would be for elementary to intermediate schools in the Charlottetown area. Thanks
Hello Marie. Typical Canadian winter with higher winds. We cope with it very well as most of the farmers of plowing snow in the winter... lots of sunny days! Overall nice if you like four seasons. It is not the arctic. All the temperature stats should be online. 😃
Hi Michael. I’m considering moving my family to PEI from Ontario for a slower paced life and a safer environment to raise my primary grade kids, in the next year (give or take). I need to be within 30-40 mins of CharlotteTown (husbands work). I’m looking for 3+ BR with up to 1/2 acre in a newer or max 20yr. old home in a subdivision. I would like to be in a neighborhood where there are families with kids as well. When we’re ready to look, which neighborhoods would you recommend? I kind of had my eye on Stratford, based on what I’ve seen on realtor.ca. Thanks Michelle😊
Hi Michelle: It's a great idea. I moved from Ontario in 1997 (Burlington/Hamilton). What is your e-mail address and max. price? You are welcome to e-mail it to me at michael@michaelshomes.com Cheers! 😀
It's pretty ironic that this video is posted now, when Ontarians are not allowed to come into PEI. Thanks to PEI's COVID lockdowns, we have reluctantly given up our dream of moving there to be near family...maybe some people are okay with buying a home without looking at it, but we are not. Feeling very sad about this....
Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching Ty.

Hello Tiki. I have not seen any issues with anyone getting medical attention in PEI. I would be happy to dicuss on the phone. Cheers.

Good morning. I would suggest calling the school board on this to go over your exact circumstances. Thanks for the comment and have a wonderful day!
Hi Michael. What are the winters really like? And don’t hold back. 😆

What city are you from Michael
Hi, Ben. Burlington. Lived most of my life in the Hamilton, Burlington and Stoney Creek areas.
Do you have a question about moving to PEI?
anything at all.... :)

Have a good weekend!
The lockdown has been over for more than a year. Did you think it was permanent?
