Still living in the Guildford area? I'd like to buy you a beer sometime after all this Covid shitness is behind us for helping me get back into guitar this year with your excellent videos.
Mind is officially blown. From a audio engineers perspective and guitarist, this thing is a game changer. Interested to see what sounds we can squeeze outta it.
Rabea spending alot-of-time in the Lab. Like a mad Tone-scientist. I like the fact that Bea loves to Chug, yet appreciates those Pristine Cleans (my personal favorite). Always enjoy his informative videos. He & Pete Honore are fantastic. oNe LovE from NYC
nice man so your are telling me that i can have a clean tone aswell :) cause i got the kraken amp and it sounds really good, clean was kinda missing for me but not anymore! thanks for sharing.
From their page: Valve Warranty All Victory products come with a 5-year limited warranty. This covers any defects in manufacturing or faulty components. The valves used in the V4 Series preamp pedals were originally manufactured to NATO specifications. Due to the extremely high-quality construction and proven reliability we have taken the unprecedented step of extending the warranty of these from 90 days to 2 years.
Yeah, the coper sounds cool.. but cooler than that are those chord sequences with the mayones. It's just so melodic and inspiring. This just shows how versatile Bea is.. Cheers!
For bass, I've been running my Hartke LH500 head with a Hartke VXL Bass Attack (mk1) pre-amp pedal in the loop, as an always on, for years now. It adds so much to the scope of what you can get out if it tonally. Especially considering they are/were both pretty affordable bits of gear. Great stuff as always Bea !
Very up is full bass on ch1 and bass cut on tb channel. Middle is bass cut on both channels. Down is full bass on both. So if you are on ch1 you will hear no difference between up and down. Sounds great. Great tones and playing.
Awesome tone, instantly bought one. It's a shame they don't make a pedal preamp of the duchess, the powered pedal is a little pricy if one just needs the preamp.
Just leaving this for anyone watching later...the switch works like this: Pos 1: bass cut on treble-boost channel, no bass cut on clean channel Pos 2: bass cut on both channels Pos 3: no bass cut on any channel
I love your playing man, thanks for that. My headphones cant handle that low end on that last guitar. Almost sounds like it was mic clipping? Is it just me? Thanks again.
Your playing is phenomenal, man. Would the Copper work with something like an Orange Jim Root Dark Terror? That's a gnarly Rockerverb preamp in a small form factor but doesnt clean up that great lol.
A very nice sounding pre-amp, Rab. It has nice natural tones from a glassy shimmer through to a decent 'non-fizzy' overdrive. This is a very well executed piece of kit! Great demo mate!
I was about to buy a clean boost and A/B pedal to emulate exactly this funcitonality on my Orange Terror. But I think I'm gonna save up a bit more for this :)
As always beautiful sounding guitars humble guy a real mélomane...and by the way there's an oriental arabic style in your way of playing...sweet soft dreamy like walking in a desert ...😇 a big Salam from marrakech 🤙
Can you please get your hands on a b and g little sister or step sister and hook it up to a high gain amplifier to see how it sounds? I saw one the other day and fell in love. They seem to be pretty niche and expensive so not many reviews, and definitely no high gain reviews. I just think it would look awesome to play one of these classic parlor guitars in a metal set.
Great sound. My "clean" wont come anything close to yours, but the clean tone im in love with, is archon/MT15 plugin with quite high gain, and my PRS SE Tremonti on neck pickup volume rolled off to where it barely starts to be playable. Its a cleanish sound if you play softly, but it breaks down a bit into crunch if you do anything a little harder. Ive tried a lot of clean stuff, and there's just something missing. And the setup i use is just something else..the only issue, is the amp hiss, because of the high distortion, but you can ignore it, its really hard to beat
Man I want one for my 5150!! I can get decent cleans on 5150 but you gotta use the crunch channel with gain way down. But that way sounds much fuller than the dedicated clean channel.
Would love to hear it through a 5150 / 6505 to actually see if it sounds as good. Cool option potentially to supplement your high gain head with a classy clean
Was toying with the idea of getting a VC35 but now a Kraken and a V4 Copper seems like it would make a lot of sense. Basically the same price. Best of both worlds?
Rabea, what I would give to learn from you. You have such much versatility and I realized I want to have a similar style to you. I would kill to be as good as you.
Out of all your guitars, if you ignored sentimental value and had to keep the one that is the closest to perfection, which one would it be ? And why is it the Mayones ?
Really nice tones! Do you happen to remember what cabinet / mics you dialed in on the OX? For those of use who one it would be interesting to compare ...
Forget the amp sounds and pedals lol. If you can play like that then you can have an Argos guitar and amplifier and sound the same lol. Awesome playing man. Very inspirational 👍
Hi Rabea, just wanted to know your opinion on the V4 Copper preamp vs the UA Ruby, now that they are an almost identical price point at some retailers? If you could only have one, which would it be? Thanks for your demos and inspiring playing!
Rabea, I have watched all the Victory V4 videos from you and Victory and they're great. I noticed on the Victory videos the V40 Deluxe and V30 were used to demo the V4's. You have used the V40 Duchess and the Kraken. Do you notice a real difference in tone when using the V4's with the different Victory amps due to the amps different tubes/valves and tones, or are they basically the same due to the V4's taking over? I'm trying to decide between either the V40 Duchess, the Deluxe or DP40 and adding a couple of the V4's. Would one of these amps be better overall if adding the V4's?
I bought this preamp and absolutely love the clean sound through my Friedman. But the treble booster channel doesn't sound very good....very weak and thin sounding. I'm not talking about the level of gain...just the sound is very thin. Any suggestions?
I just ordered one, lets see how it transforms my JVM205c edit: for normal listening levels the JVM master volume is normally about 5%, with this preamp, I need to jack up the master volume to about 45%, so switching back without changing the volume first isn't an option.
this is my 3rd time watching this thing.... I love this idea... 2 channel amp .... say 3rd power that has a "fendery" clean and a Marshall Dirt... have this thing... boom. Fender Vox Marshall.... You can rule the world
Your face at the mistake at 8:22 is funny - this turned out to be a happy mistake. It sounds good in the music. It acted as an accent to lead into what you followed up with.
Hi there I wanted to see how I can use it with a cabzeus. serve to put these two pedals together? thank you very much for the videos they are very good greetings from Chile
I tend to find the more modern the tones I use the TN and BOSS, if it’s anything from clean through to high gain I’d use the OX. They’re all great for me, I usually have the stereo rig hooked up to the TN and boss.
The preamp is cool, but your playing is incredible. You are truly an inspiration.
For $500...he could of just gotten a clean amp
Man that Mayones sounds surprisingly gorgeous on the clean. I love it when a guitar can work well from no gain to all the gain.
Still living in the Guildford area? I'd like to buy you a beer sometime after all this Covid shitness is behind us for helping me get back into guitar this year with your excellent videos.
He's lived in Brighton for years now
You can buy me a beer then
Beautiful tones man! (but then again, you always have great tone)
Interesting... Been trying to figure out what I want to do for cleans with my Kraken. Looks like I've figured it out!
Mind is officially blown. From a audio engineers perspective and guitarist, this thing is a game changer. Interested to see what sounds we can squeeze outta it.

Lol 😂 that’s awesome! It’s like the opposite. You stomp on the pedal to make it clean. I actually love it!
Love the Copper! FYI the magic of the bass cut switch comes out on the boost side. Give it a whirl with your strat! 🤘🏻
I think the bass cut switch settings are: OFF, ON (both channels), ON (Ch2 only). Cheerio
This is some of your best playing. You have great chord progressions.
Some fantastic tones in that set up and absolutely stellar playing!! Also that Mayones 😍
nice man so your are telling me that i can have a clean tone aswell :) cause i got the kraken amp and it sounds really good, clean was kinda missing for me but not anymore! thanks for sharing.

I've got the Kraken and I am in love with it.
Cheers.
Great tone and playing ! I do a similar thing an older SLO 100 using an HX Stomp for cleans. Impressed with the copper! Cheers.
I do a similar thing for cleans with my old SLO too, using a Wampler mini Tumnus in the loop.
Game changer for my Dark Terror.
What a great way to get additional tones/channels to an existing setup. Love it...
You make such beautiful music 🎶 I hope you continue to release more in iTunes or Bandcamp or anywhere else that I can purchase. Thanks Rabea.
Yeah, the coper sounds cool.. but cooler than that are those chord sequences with the mayones. It's just so melodic and inspiring. This just shows how versatile Bea is.. Cheers!
Great demo Brother. The cleans are amazing! Your playing is so tasteful also. Thanks for the hard work, and the great demo.

Rabea, you have a great attitude and teach many of us about amp and electronics man. God bless
Amazing video, the best and most dynamic one I've watched from your channel. Superb job!!!
Very up is full bass on ch1 and bass cut on tb channel. Middle is bass cut on both channels. Down is full bass on both. So if you are on ch1 you will hear no difference between up and down. Sounds great. Great tones and playing.
I wish they did a preamp only v4 version of the duchess without the poweramp section 😔
Wow, this pedal should be called "The GOLD!" Awesome sounds as always Rabea, well done!
Awesome tone, instantly bought one. It's a shame they don't make a pedal preamp of the duchess, the powered pedal is a little pricy if one just needs the preamp.
Dude you are looking like a lean machine. Impressive indeed
Your playing is insane. this is also a great setup. thanks
Just leaving this for anyone watching later...the switch works like this:
Pos 1: bass cut on treble-boost channel, no bass cut on clean channel
Pos 2: bass cut on both channels
Pos 3: no bass cut on any channel
Sweet tones and some sweet sounds bro. David Bahar Edinburgh.
The stuff you played on the Mayones is absolutely stunning.
I love your playing man, thanks for that. My headphones cant handle that low end on that last guitar. Almost sounds like it was mic clipping? Is it just me? Thanks again.
This video is insane ! Thanks so much Rabea !!! 🙏🙏🙏
That is good stuff. Thanks for the insight. I'm going to investigate further
holy shit that clean tone was stunning
Beautiful playing as ever. I'm ordering a Cooper!!
Your playing is phenomenal, man. Would the Copper work with something like an Orange Jim Root Dark Terror? That's a gnarly Rockerverb preamp in a small form factor but doesnt clean up that great lol.
If it has an effect loop it’ll work yeah :) just follow the through mode wiring instructions on the back
A very nice sounding pre-amp, Rab. It has nice natural tones from a glassy shimmer through to a decent 'non-fizzy' overdrive. This is a very well executed piece of kit! Great demo mate!
Intro is awesome
Wow.. maaaan, sounds, tone awesome but you’re playing is sensational, thank for sharing
That's sweet. It's like a reverse overdrive
Wow... Awesome playing in the clean... Bravissimo!
How does the Cooper V4 sound as a pedal platform? I mean with Overdrives and fuzzes? Thank you!
Holy smokes
Victory for me
Sick sounds, sick playing
Damn! That's coming through the Kraken? F@$k that sounds great!
I was about to buy a clean boost and A/B pedal to emulate exactly this funcitonality on my Orange Terror.
But I think I'm gonna save up a bit more for this :)
Works good. I have the kraken preamp and run it into the return of my micro dark. Sounds good
I will buy that baby, before you reviewed i have made my decision
, but! Thank you buddy! I will combine it with my Dover DA-50!
As always beautiful sounding guitars humble guy a real mélomane...and by the way there's an oriental arabic style in your way of playing...sweet soft dreamy like walking in a desert ...😇 a big Salam from marrakech 🤙
Awesome playing and tone. Especially loved the playing on the Mayones. Parts of it were like Led Zeppelin plays Asylum.
Hi. Would it work as well the other way around? Having a the copper lunchbox and adding the kraken pedal?
That's a brilliant piece of gear!
Can you please get your hands on a b and g little sister or step sister and hook it up to a high gain amplifier to see how it sounds? I saw one the other day and fell in love. Amazing clean tones man. 💪🏻🤘🏻
Inspiring player and amazing tone!

The only secret is your fingers and low output pickups :) Nice tone also !
Sounds great!!
Man I want one for my 5150!! I can get decent cleans on 5150 but you gotta use the crunch channel with gain way down. But that way sounds much fuller than the dedicated clean channel.

I do the same with my 5150 and my AMT F1, but it add too much noise to Peavey drive when the pedal is plugged.
Rabea, what I would give to learn from you. You have such much versatility and I realized I want to have a similar style to you. I would kill to be as good as you.
Great video Rabea. Please can you do the same and demo the Sheriff preamp maybe into a clean amp like a Fender that would be great.
Sounds like you may have found some help on your ambient noodling tone quest. Sounds amazing.
Out of all your guitars, if you ignored sentimental value and had to keep the one that is the closest to perfection, which one would it be ? And why is it the Mayones ?
My strat probably ;)
Hello, can be it used with impulse response? Amazing playing
Lovely playin ... Thx Man
thats thru mode is a pretty cool feature
Really nice tones! Do you happen to remember what cabinet / mics you dialed in on the OX? For those of use who one it would be interesting to compare ...
Hi Rabea, excellent video as always. How would you compare the clean tone of the V4 Copper with the clean tone of the V4 Countess?
Forget the amp sounds and pedals lol. If you can play like that then you can have an Argos guitar and amplifier and sound the same lol. Awesome playing man. Very inspirational 👍
That Penguin is a beauty!
Nice! Enjoyed that
wasn't fussed on the gretsch at all. Last bit was the best.
Of course Bea was outstanding as always
750XDM arrives soon!
Looks like this Copperhead is next on the list...
Hi Rabea, just wanted to know your opinion on the V4 Copper preamp vs the UA Ruby, now that they are an almost identical price point at some retailers? If you could only have one, which would it be? Thanks for your demos and inspiring playing!
At 5:10 it kinda sounds like written in the stars by John Legend. Great playing man!
Lovely
Very nice. I have a question. Would you be getting anymore stock of the Dragon Hoodies? I look from time to time but my size is sold out. Thanks
I'm just here to watch and listen to the man
@Rabea Can you do a video with the V4 Kraken through an amp like a Fender Blues Deluxe. I want the best of both worlds.
Rabea, I have watched all the Victory V4 videos from you and Victory and they're great. I noticed on the Victory videos the V40 Deluxe and V30 were used to demo the V4's. You have used the V40 Duchess and the Kraken. Wow, that sounds so warm and nice, unbelievable hearing that from a pedal! And such tasteful playing.
Did you use a compressor pedal in this video?
Kinda surprised for the high gain tone on that Gretsch, holy smokes!
People keep being surprised by that, but Gretsch fucking rips🤘
Your face at the mistake at 8:22 is funny - this turned out to be a happy mistake. It sounds good in the music. It acted as an accent to lead into what you followed up with.
The tough choice I now have is do I get a Kraken amp with copper preamp pedal, Or copper amp with kraken pre amp pedal.
I'd say copper amp with kraken pedal
Hey Rabea, one day just do a video of you noodling for an hour. I'd use that as my work music any time.
Hi there
I wanted to see how I can use it with a cabzeus. serve to put these two pedals together?
thank you very much for the videos they are very good
greetings from Chile
I want this intro song, or anything even slightly longer. Buy it anywhere?
very nice candy sound!))
Bea, what's your rationale for choosing between the OX, Tube amp expander or the Two Notes when demoing/recording/etc?
I tend to find the more modern the tones I use the TN and BOSS, if it’s anything from clean through to high gain I’d use the OX. They’re all great for me, I usually have the stereo rig hooked up to the TN and boss.
I'd really like to try this with my 6505+. Sounds amazing!
I never had a problem with the 6505+ clean channel,well I did back when i used EMG’s
@@Ottophil That's my problem. Lol
@@skerryperry4224 i swear man. Passive pickups. A tiny bit of compression, smidge of reverb. And boom, you got a decent clean tone.
@@Ottophil hell yeah. I'll try that. Thanks man
does anybody know what Gretsch he is playing in this video? I want one!
This would he stellar in front of the new Mesa Badlander. Get that 3 channel vibe back!
Is there a way to run it with a dual amp rig?
