Greetings from Brazil! I recently started following your videos. I really like the aesthetics and the way you capture them. I loved seeing that you used a Brazilian song in your latest videos. Keep up the good work!
I've just returned from my summer holiday with my husband at the Château de Saumur. We spent 3 days and 2 nights in a historic building built in 1583 and converted into an airbnb in 2023 with a lovely MCM style interior. It is well located in the heart of Saumur's historic old town and about a 15 minute walk from the castle. There was a two-day music festival and a local family restaurant that deserves two Michelin stars of the gourmet type and costs half as much. Unfortunately, we are not lucky enough to have sunny weather in our home town of Rennes (heavy rainy and gloomy days), unlike our holiday in Saumur.
Had to look up Hadden Beach before commenting. Never heard of it, before. Sure, I've been in the area...maybe even been on the beach but I've never heard the name "Hadden Beach". I haven't looked up the stats but I'm guessing this August has been much cooler and wetter than the average August. Certainly, been some intense thunder storms; thunder, lightning, torrential downpours, and power outages. It's typical for us to have thunder storms at this time of the year (end of August, beginning of September.) It's referred to as "PNE weather" (Pacific National Exhibition which takes place the last couple of weeks of August and the first week of September up to Labour Day.) Then, when the kids go back to school after Labour Day, we tend to get three to six weeks of beautiful, sunny, warm weather. If the good weather extends beyond the beginning of October, it's called an "Indian Summer"...beautiful time of the year with the trees beginning to display their fall colours, cool, crisp mornings and warm afternoons. A great time of year to walk the Stanley Park seawall with a beverage and a good companion.
What is it like to have a career in the arts/creatives where you don't do a standard 9 to 5 job (assuming)? Ever consider an office job with a traditional schedule? Thanks for the great content.
Hey thanks for watching! Working in arts and as self employed it always feels like you should be doing more and there's always a low simmer of stress about work lol. When everything is working it's amazing and when things aren't it can be very stressful. You're your own boss in a way but thats has lots of pro and cons and responsibility. I never say never but I don't see a 9-5 in the future right now. I've been playing music for a living since 2017 and I really love what I do even when I'm not feeling well or sick there always part of me that enjoys it so I'm just enjoying focusing on that right now and getting better as a musician :)
