It's funny how in mixed-ish she's so innocent but in black-ish, her younger self was described as wild.
Her "wild side" seemed to be displayed around late high school/ early college time. As of right now, they probably didn't want to make a 13 year old child wild.
It’s probs because she is still a middle schooler right now rather than a high schooler. Plus when you are older you also consider your college days to be your younger days too
