I have been struggling with my polychromos and correct drawing paper for so long. I used hot-press watercolor paper..didn't like it..tried local ivory paper.. didn't like it either. The main problem I face is the paper takes a very light layer of colour and if I press hard the paper get burnished and the line shows through at the back. I think this video answers some of my questions about correct paper. Thanks for such wonderful demonstration. A big fan of your work.
Hello Prerna, Found this video to be quite educational, specifically to indian market there is lack of information available. I've only used Bristol smooth paper however I am seeking to invest in a darker shade like black to experiment further.

@@prernadraws do you have any recommendations for dark paper?
Mam i have a small doubt iam using brustro 72 pieces of colourpencil in brustro paper (200).i have a plan to buy bristol smooth paper is that good?
Hi! Bristol smooth is a good paper but remember that it can’t take too many layers of color. If possible, try Bristol vellum.
