Power scalers ignoring Rayleigh's explanation of Haki pre time skip and then not understanding when other characters unlock Haki is still one of the funniest things. Rayleigh stated Haki is a latent power that EVERYONE is born with, it just a matter of unlocking it. The only one that is different is Conquerors Haki, the character has to be born capable of using it specifically and it isn't something that you can just train to unlock. Observation/Armament is something EVERY single character in One Piece is potentially capable of.

Not only that, but it is explained that Haki is strengthened by just training it, you need experience and hardship to overcome. Bonney for one, has been a Supernova captain for a while and has been in the New World, as a captain she SHOULD have some armament or observation haki.
I think most understand that. It's probably that he's exclaiming pain. Even if they all had haki, it shouldn't phase Luffy in gear 5, besides Sanji's maybe. Luffy has taken Lucci hits without saying anything. But again Luffy is in gear 5 and is being goofy so no one can say for certain. It also implies that Bonney's powers can grant haki

The whole debate about is haki is basically founded in Rayleigh words, I'll paraphrase his exact words,:
Haki Lies dormant in everyone.
Everyone posses it to some degree.
("arms. obserbation and conqueror", this right here are ways of using haki not real clasification of haki.)
but most people never discorver it.
IE: you never unleash the full potential if you dont get enough training(Will) and knowledge.
Edit 1: Also Haki is not a one of kind thing as I said before everyone has haki, even rocks.
Edit 2: Haki Blooming: another braindead(Powerscallers) read issue, "you haki will bloom in battle" is a fancy way of saying when push come to shove, in real danger you true "Will" shine.

The funny thing about the whole Bonney debate this past week or so is that Oda is usually a couple chapters or more ahead in production. The community is divided by Bonney's Nika form, while Oda is working on chapters we won't see for weeks or even a month. Oda and his editor already had this debate back in May at the latest, if not around chapter 1101.
This doesn't invalidate the opinions and criticisms folks had after 1118. However, I think it would be wise for all of us, myself included, to remember that Oda does plan things out in advance. This was planned since at least 1101. It wasn't a spur of the moment decision like others were (e.g. Bonney and all the Supernova/Worst Generation members were on record as a last second addition).

That's not a guarantee at all. In fact all current understanding is that Oda's editors are pretty hands off and Oda does what he wants now. How many Shonen series have made terrible changes to the status quo before? It's not exactly a rare occurrence to have something really stupid written into a Shonen story.

He seems to be keeping Yamato as an option, Stussy might end up joining as she's the clone of a character that used to be on Rocks and that might be relevant for storytelling going forward, Carrot is confirmed NOT in a barrel on the ship haha, Bonney has to go with the revolutionary army and lead the Pacifista's against the government so she might travel with Luffy to Elbaf but will eventually join Dragon that's my guess
Edit: I forgot, Lilith will probably be the last living Vegapunk besides York... If York joins government, maybe Lilith the evil will become a pirate and join Luffy? Who knows, there's a lot of options for Oda to go with

In Oda we trust, what do you think Oda is going to break his power system with Bonnie's fruit? Her fruit is limited to physical aspects, only her body changes. Oda also specifically made it clear how this fruit's powers do not *age* well, pun intended. Distorted future decreases in power when the possible futures fade by the path not chosen as the user grows up, It's literally a metaphor for the unlimited potential of children.

I'm still on the fence and skeptical of bonnie,her powers and what odas doing with this whole thing. I need to see more from it. I'm glad for now but at th3 same time if in the future she starts using other devil fruit powers or starts using toon force or wacky luffy abilities I'm going to be greatly pissed. I also don't really like her using an elephant-like attack.

There were hints of Bonney being a Haki user (and seriously speaking I would be far more surprised if she doesn't have Haki), in chapter 1063 she kicked (a blunt attack) Luffy away from a MK3 Pacifista after which Luffy reacted with pain, anger and confusion hinting he was hit by her Haki, in chapter 1092 she survived the laser dome of the Labophase (a shield that can even hurt Gear 5th, and outright blocked Kaku from entering it) with minimal injuries, which means if she had no Haki her natural durability would be comparable to at least a fraction of Gear 5th Luffy. Besides she was a Supernova and has been operating in the New World where even the fodders (anyone remember Batman? Canon or not him having Haki is not controversial I hope) for a while now, not to mention her crew is as far as we know kinda useless, so I would believe she has Haki no problem.
The Strawhats need to develop further as a Yonko crew. Haki is a necessity now.

Bad thing would have been if Imu was the one getting punched, but Ju peter is NOT Luffi's end game match, so it doesn't matter. It's called writting btw. St. Topman was punched by a giant robot that has been around for like a millennium and its technology is such that not even a genius like Vegapunk can comprehend, let alone replicate. It’s not recency bias. It’s comparing old info to new info. Shanks could be with his whole crew and fleet and if the Gorosei decided to teleport there they would destroy Shanks. Also Shanks is arguably the strongest emperor but he still gets folded or would be forced to run like Luffy even with his whole crew\fleet supporting him
