@@vongolajudaime7218They are 100% correct regarding the fingers actually. Yuji ate 15 before Sukuna transfered to Megumi and Uraume gave Sukuna 3 more. Rika ate another other one. So by this point there should still be one finger out there, which is explained by Kenjaku having sealed one finger inside Yuji when he was a baby.

I think KOL should have read 10 or 20 chapters a week , i don't know why he started reading more than 30 chapter per week , its just actually annoying to watch him get information so incorrectly and also he should've started reading jjk from the start rather than starting from the end of shibuya
I like how some of the idiots in his chat are complaining about not seeing the drawbacks of the binding vows yet it’s been stated the worst drawback that comes from breaking a binding vow imposed on oneself is losing what was gained in chapter 79. And that’s only if the vow is broken in the first place. The type of vows sukuna made were ones where the sacrifice is already implemented for a gain somewhere else. For example the loss of being able to use world cutting slash with only the enma palm sign in exchange for a one time use of it without having to make the sign. Now he has to make the sign(which he would normally have to do) plus a chant and he even has to aim it with his palm. A huge benefit to opponents because they’ll know when it’s coming plus have time to prepare to dodge, also he literally has to direct with his palm so that’s an indication on where the slash will go.
Stop bruh you actually using your brain for this series, which is a big no-no.
An underrated part about the vow and what makes it so genius is that it requires 3 HANDS to use it(2 for the handsign and 1 to aim). Meaning, Sukuna gave up the use of the slash in his Meguna form. But he circumvented it with his Heian Era forms 4 arms. Its so genius and pairs so well with the theme of Sorcerers being con artists
Fr. The only binding vow that has true consequences is one made with multiple people. If you break that, either you die or something worse happens.
@@atpr3241 nothing is actually genius about it because Gege merely wrote around a reason not to have go to fight him in Heian form. He created a needless requirement for something he had to go out of his way to learn to then have a situation be explained 10 - 20 chapters later when it could have been explained right then.
It's already bad enough he had to give his alleged strongest in history two different curse techniques in order to beat the strongest of the modern day, then you have people consistently misreading and misconceptualizing certain aspects of binding vows as well as the casual use of them.

KOL was way better last long stream. This one, he seemed extremely impatient by the last 2 hrs rushing through explanations.
Chat didn’t help sometimes while the times they could have helped pick up something he missed, he wasn’t reading.
Honestly feel like it would be better to do shorter streams if he’s so burnt out from the yapping. Most of the yapping in the later section is vital.
And even the yapping he complained earlier really fleshes out why they made the decisions they did. Like Higuruma’s domain could have been explained as it happened, but then we wouldn’t know the details of how it works and why this was the option they chose, and why they didn’t go with other options.
To me, it’s actually quite refreshing to see how deeply the sorcerers planned things out, because most anime just have them charge in and never explain why they couldn’t just do X. It helps flesh out the power system in general and stuff like binding vows. He complains about those binding vows but glosses over the rules to make things fair. Pretty sure he didn’t really understand the world cutting slash binding vow against Gojo either.
Unfortunate, I really enjoyed how much he was analyzing stuff before. He just seems over it.

This stream was a great showcase for everything that's good and bad about reading Manga weekly vs binging. On the one hand, some things like the Takaba fight or Sukuna gaunlet dont feel as tedious when you're not waiting for a new chapter every other week, but on the other hand, some of the moments need that break for discussion and hype, like Yuta coming back as Gojo or Higuruma/Choso's death.
Anyways, we caught up so that should stop all that misinformation at least.

Kol with all thje manga you have read I really don´t get how you can´t understand what binding vows are. Maybe you need to re-visit the first archs of the series. Binding vows are like a pact, you give smth and take other in return. In Todo´s case for example, due to the conditions to activate his techniques have changed he can activate the swaping technique like 50 times in a single second, which was impossible to do when he had his hand. Due to his own convenience Todo limited the amount of swaps, let´s say from 50 to only 20, but in exchange he canhave more targets for the technique and more range. Is crystal clear, you give smth and you take smth. You can analyze every binding vow in the series and they all follow this principle, c´mon is not that hard. This is primary school stuff!
Thing is you dont even have to do the giving first. You can just take something first then give something in return

Also higuruma's 1 whole chapter break down of japanese law and how it applies to his CT was a bit long winded *LESS IS MORE* he should have shortened it to the main part rather then tell us everysingle quirk about his abillity. Save that kind of knowledge for databooks. Worst of all after that whole explanation of how higurma's abilities work gege NEVER MENTIONED that confiscation prioritizes cursed tools above cursed techniques. (Cursed tool> Curse Technique> Cursed energy) So there was no foreshadowing/set-up for the twist of sukuna keeping his cursed technique and losing the cursed tool kamutoke. It made that twist seem like an asspull rather than a genuinely good twist that was built-up.

For binding vows you can do 2 things :
1. Read the manga, not understand the concept and roll with it so you can go forward, same as most complex cursed techniques.
2. Read the manga, understand the concept and how it is inspired by Nen vows but having their own twists making 2 types of biding vows (vows made on oneself, and vows made with others) and the latter having big possible repercussion and former just losing whats been granted via binding vow.
Or you can be an ingnorant person,hater or agenda pusher and just hate on it because its too hard for the birdbrain to understand.
Conterpoint: With how easily Sukuna makes binding vows (and how utterly inbalanced the give and take is), the sorcerers should at least try to use them in some way for themselves, or capitalize on the supposed downsides of Sukuna's BVs.
Though I agree calling them "plot armor" is just proof of lack of reading comprehension.

With that beeing said we see lots of characters using binding vows but is just not straight up said: revealing one's cursed technique, nanami overtime buff ,mei mei sacrificial crow, todo vibra slap, yuta's ring and 5 minutes limit, mahito Istant spirit body of distorted killing, hanami with the flower arm cover. Also for those not knowing in the domain battle gojo used a binding vow in order to get the basketball domain .

Because Sukuna has yet to have any serious reprecausions from abusing binding vows. If he can just recover all his stuff and get buffed by just putting a condition, than recieve no downsides besides losing the buff upon violating said condition, what's stopping Yuji from making a BV to make his black flash hit 100x times harder in exchange for his ability to breathe, than after hitting said black flash go "lol, just kidding", and recieve no reprecausions? That's basically all Sukuna has been doing ever since his fight with Yuta, which is why people, somewhat understandably, make fun of it. And as the guy above mentioned, binding vows are very common knowledge even to less than avarage sorcerers. Its just that until this point there was a clear balance between what one had to sacrifice and what he recieved through a BV, which has seemingly been abandoned in recent chapters.

The world cutting slash and Furnace.
For the reward for firing off WCS once against Gojo WITHOUT handseals (he had one arm so he couldnt do the shrine seal to fire it) he has to use THREE hands (2 for the shrine seal one for the palm direction aim) AND chants to fire it. ForEVER. This is why cutting off his arms is that much more valueable to the good guys. If he breaks that price he loses the slash unless he makes another vow but you tried to compare this to yuji making a vow and then ignoring the price?
Furnance is even more simple, he made a vow to not be able to use fuga on multiple targets outside of his domain (which is a genius vow cause it lacks speed and range to begin with) and as a reward he gets to use it on his entire domain area with added power. There has never been stated that there's a price to pay for using vows besides what you pay to get the reward.
Todo was the only one who could use a new vow to buff him to absolute insanity because the price is he has to have 1 arm to start with to add the vibraslap then he vowed to be able to swap multiple targets and increased range at will at the cost of some of the 50 activations a second.
All of them are paying the prive every time they use the reward. Just read.

Gege decision for the timekip is aging well, knowing all their plans beforehand would’ve ruined the suspense of the battle. And I like how Sukuna is slowly losing and getting nerfed in like every chapter. Still this mf keep adapting to every circumstance thrown at him, he’s different lol

Nothing about the time skips aged well because it's tackley put together flashbacks to explain things that Gege could have shown us to build up that emotional depth to then be paid off now. But he opted for the lesser route to focus on quote on quote action to sprinkle in the conversations and planning which created a very exhausting cycle series that the fandom at large grew tired of regardless of who believes the cycle was a thing or not

5:12:57 the finger stuff isn't really confusing, Yuji was originally born with one of Sukuna's fingers, so he is 1 finger before the story starts, he then eats the "first" finger in episode 1 bringing him upto 2 fingers in actuality, then Gojo gives him one more to see if he can really control himself with more fingers so that brings him to an actual total of 3 fingers, he then gets a finger from the the first Finger Bearer Curse and ends up with 4 fingers, then he eats another one at the end of the season bringing him upto 5 fingers, then the two girls in Shibuya give him a finger, bringing him upto 6 fingers, then Jogo feeds him 10 more fingers and Yuji ends up with 16 fingers and then finally when Meguna consumes the last few fingers while talking about how Gojo probably hid the final finger, we see on screen only 3 fingers presented to Sukuna, so Sukuna ate those 3 fingers and ended up with 19 fingers, Rika then ate the last one and that is basically the whole deal with the fingers, the current Yuji doesn't have any fingers.
so currently we fighting 18 fingers sukuna i assume yuji kept his a vessel and yuta still has one. unless yuji kept more of the power after sukuna switched to megumi
@@Youwood667 Yuji never kept jack, when Sukuna switched over to Megumi he took all the Fingers, including the one that was originally sealed in Yuji by Kenjaku, so Sukuna is at 19 Fingers and Rika ate the last one.

KOL, there is no 21st finger. The "small fragment" of his soul is due to the fact that Gin was sukunas brother, and through blood relation and having lived in the same body with sukuna, yuji has awakened the same CT. All that section was trying to explain, was how Sukuna and Yuji were related.
Even though Higuruma plan failed, there’s a bright side to that because he took Sukuna's cursed tool, could you imagine how painfully annoying and difficult the fight would’ve been if Sukuna still had it, bruh
Also, Kamutoke is confiscated forever, but Shrine would be confiscated temporarily (maybe to moment of Higuruma's death). Kamutoke is really the better option.

Oh, absolutely. Hell, being able to shoot lightning bolts at will, seemingly without the set up/charge time that Kashimo needed (at least when not using his cursed technqiue), would have massacred most of the crew. Even IF they had managed to confiscate Shrine, that would have been awful to deal with.

The penalty of the Furnace binding vow is thay he can't use it on multiple targets outside of his domain and can't use it without using enough Cleaves and Dismantles first.
He boosted its power by severely limiting the situations in which he can even use it.

wait if yuji was born with a finger sealed inside him then why wouldn't sukuna immediately come out. It makes ep one sucks if yuji already had one inside him. Where the whole point of the episode that it was by chance he ate sukuna finger when saving megumi. I wouldn't mind that yuji at the start was planned to be sukuna vessel but having a finger sealed takes away the heart of the first episode.

One very important detail: the seals of the other fingers were VERY OLD, that's why they leak cursed energy like crazy
It's entirely possible that kenjaku, the man that taught sukuna how to become a cursed object, also put a new, stronger and personal seal on the finger he used on Yuji
@@covitooo thank you I went back and saw the panel of sukuna explaing that yuji having a finger since birth. I'm kinda confused that sukuna found out that yuji was kenjacku child. I'm confused as to how he found out. Ik in the same chapter I think sukuna sensed yuji. Wouldn't he sense it earlier in the series did he do it when he took over megumi body or has he known about it since the begining

This lead to another question how would kenjaku bank on yuji eating the finger. yuji would have never ate the finger if megumi didn't suck at that time. It doesn't make sense that kenjaku planned yuji to eat the finger at the school. I can see that kenjaku planned yuji to be sukuna vessel but banking on yuji to eat it is stupid. Yuji ate the finger by chance no planning just luck. Yuji friends stole the finger which rip the tailsman and a cuse spirit wanted to eat it. Idk how this is kenjacku planning for yuji to eat it. There are so many other variable that would have made yuji not eat it. Wouldn't it make more sense if kenjacku himself appeared want to do it himself instead of making a mistake.

The one in yuji is relevant, after leaving his body sukuna poured his cursed energy and soulf fragments into the one finger he fed megumi, so he is at 19 even if the first one was within yuji from the beginning

You’re splitting two ideas that are connected. He had a child with the reincarnation of Sukuna’s twin brother to make a vessel that could survive eating Sukuna’s fingers. He then sealed a finger in Yuji at birth. He did this to make Yuji a culling games player. Yuji was set up to be a culling games player just like all the other reincarnated sorcerers. Yuji is essentially an experiment. This is why Kenjaku occasionally refers to him as a “thing”. He would’ve always been a culling games player even if he didn’t eat another finger in chapter 1 and joined jujutsu high. And you can even count all the fingers that sukuna ate throughout the series, and it only adds up to 18 if you don’t count the one that Yuji already had. Check the wiki on Sukuna’s fingers if you want to see a quick timeline of all the fingers we’ve seen in the story
