Shouldn't there be a boarding option for capturing disable starships in space or a disables starship crash landing into the planet after a space battle?
This is beyond amazing and it's a mod. Can you imagine how amazing of a game Disney could make if they just got a studio of 50+ people that actually care, a respectable budget, aren't forced to fit in ludicrous amounts of monetization, and didn't rush the project out a year early. Just from the ground work of these sorts of mods, on an 16 year old game even, they could easily make one of if not the best strategy games of all time. Sadly, I don't believe we live in the correct timeline for such a reality :(
there are more and more star wars games coming, I think a stradegy title is coming sooner or later. How rushed well done or good it will be tho... you never know with disney

I'm much involved in the Company of Heroes community and I would absolutely love a CoH-style Star Wars game. I know it's not the most realistic or the vastest of scale but I like that CoH is like a compression of combat ranges to fit comfortably on your screen. It's like those Brothers in Arms games of the late 00's but RTS version. In terms of space combat CoH definitely isn't the best example.... that part would require a lot of work!
The old games had so much love and soul put into them. Thank you for keeping this alive. Definitely going to buy it off Steam to try this, lost my disk ages ago.

HELP: - So, I really want to get back into Empire at War but anytime I play it I have unplayable levels of FPS lag. I have a RTX 3070 on a brand new laptop. I know it has something to do with the game basically bottle capping itself to one single core but how do I fix it? I can’t seem to find any substantial fixes.

Hopefully my game doesnt have random crashes like i have on FOC (base vanilla is perfectly fine for some reason) on steam. This gets me truly hyped for this game.
new ship, units, maps and more. sadly I don't think anyone can ever fix the fps drop from big battles. that's an in-game thing that we'll probably never get rid of or fix. maybe someday
@@mcmuffin55555 i dont doubt it. the team works really hard. the only way i can even imagine to think of fixing or finding out the core issue would be to dig through every file of the original game, look at every folder and txt and code page and add and remove everything around until the problem can be found. or hell, just make a whole new game altogether
Staying awake for over 30 hours to get some final recordings in was worth it by the looks of it. Hope you all enjoy 4.0 once the update is out.

Empire at War has been the official Star Wars RTS game since 2004. I wonder how many generations of modders have seen this game through.

there was Star Wars Battlecry but the last teaser was posted 6 years ago and no new updates since then, so I think development was stopped.
I bought it last year coz nostalgia and it still holds up, I love isolating rebels then nuking them with the Death Star

The bottleneck of it only using 1 core will never be fixed most likely, but Remake takes big steps to be as optimized as possible
