Yes! I’ve got a friend who is no longer speaking to me because she thinks all Trump voters are monsters who want every right stripped away from women and LGBTQ, which is obviously not true. However, if someone can’t respect my opinion while I have made it very clear that I respect theirs, they don’t deserve my friendship!
@@tntstorms7969same here I’m from jersey so you know blue state, I had a friend who claim Trump raped, beat up and ripped off Melania hair, yes you read this right, Trump wife, I asked him show me proof via articles, statement, news, etc and he responded telling me “search it up yourself do your due diligence, if you want to vote for a rapist that’s on you” we literally argued on the phone I did my due diligence and found nothing he claims about Trump not even alleged news that’s how bad TDS has gotten they believe their own lies and it’s sad
I was the only person in my family that didn't vote for Trump, voted Libertarian(I'm in Massachusetts so my vote kinda didn't matter), but do have some conservative beliefs. Nobody cared, my dad made fun of me for a bit but anyone turning their back on someone for how they vote is agreed not someone you need in your life. Btw a vote for a 3rd party is basically a vote for Trump in my state.
We needed the last 4 years to happen in order for America to wake up and realize what they took for granted under Trump! America has spoken and wants their life back!
It did seem she wanted Trump to win. It's very hard to believe an attorney and DA, and AG could possibly be as unintelligent as she portrayed every day on the campaign. Was she doing it to throw the election?
I’m “on the left” and found this video very informative as well as very kind to those you disagree with, which is rare. I genuinely want to understand more about our differences, and more importantly what we have in common, so thanks for that.
Lifelong democrat and Bernie Sanders progressive here….who voted Trump this year after listening to multiple long-form interviews with President Trump, JD Vance, Tulsi Gabbard, Elon Musk, RFK Jr, and Vivek. I also listened to interviews with Kamala Harris. My goal was to listen to the actual people speak for themselves rather than listen to the edited soundbites of legacy media. The long-format interviews were refreshing, different, and gave me the opportunity to see what these individuals would say and do when unscripted. Kamala Harris did not choose to do unscripted interviews so I was not able to assess her in the same way. What I found in listening to all of the people on team Trump is that so much of what I thought was true in past years through only watching the mainstream media was spin, blatant untruths, etc. I’ve read JD Vance’s book “Hillbilly Elegy.” I read it years ago and was impressed back then. It is one of the best accounts of the hearts and soul of middle America and why they vote the way they do. I’ve been frustrated with the Democrat Party since they pushed Bernie Sanders out and then Hilary blamed Bernie for her loss….instead of being accountable for running a weak campaign. I’m disheartened that the Democratic machine chose to run Kamala Harris on the platform of her skin color and gender. It was diminishing to her….to all women. To tell people that they should vote for someone based on their skin color and gender suggests that this is the whole of their worth. It seems sexist and racist to me. I will vote for a woman for President when I feel it is the right person to run this country. Trump chose a team of diverse thinkers. They do not all think the same. They do not all come from the same political party. RFK Jr was the darling of the democrats….the face of environmental activism only to be canceled by his own party when he expressed concerns over the covid vaccine. He did not call for a ban on vaccines. He called for more transparency. He called for citizens to be able to have the freedom to make the choice for themselves. Elon Musk was another darling of the democrats….bringing electric vehicle technology to the forefront of our society. He is now canceled for championing free speech. My workplace has embraced the DEI initiative to the fullest and as a result…the workplace has become far more toxic. We are all basically treated as if we need to be re-educated…the baseline was that we are all assholes who are racists and biased. In the meantime….our infrastructure is crumbling. I work for the Federal Government and our emergency first responders don’t have the basic tools to provide service to the public…while your tax dollars go to hiring more high-paid DEI administrators at the DC level. During Covid I saw far more uncivil behavior and speech from the left than the right. I was vaccinated (by mandate at work) and then got Covid a few weeks later and nearly died. This was at the same time Biden said that if you take the shot you won’t get Covid. Turns out that after more research they discovered that people who were on the medication I was on (for Multiple Sclerosis) were getting much more severe symptoms and long Covid after taking the vaccine. Now they don’t recommend the vaccine within a certain time period of the MS treatment. The blanket solution forced upon me nearly killed me. My unvaccinated husband got covid from me and had the sniffles. People at work were accusing him of nearly killing me because he was unvaccinated. It was hell. This led me to reconsider my blue across the board - no matter what - because they are the good guys stance. I took many deep dives over the past several years to better understand my own heart in these issues and I came out the other side as an independent….who currently leans red…realizing that I haven’t actually changed that much over the past 40 years….but the party has.
@hriffe1 Hi, thanks for sharing your story! I'm wondering if you've heard of the Walk Away Campaign? It's another RUclips channel full of stories that sound a lot like yours.
as a kamala voter, i really really apprecite this video. the reactions of the left are really grating on me and ive found myself drifting into conservative spaces to try and figure out the reason so many voted for trump this year instead of just painting all trump voters as evil. this has helped me understand, which is what i wanted more than anything and has made me feel a lot better about the next four years. the doom and gloom from the left is so hard to escape right now and if you try to point that out or be optimistic the response is....not great. thank you for the informative, respectful video. i honestly think a lot of my views and yours align :) heres to hoping that america gets her footing in the years to come and that we all can be kinder to one another
Hope you’re doing well! There’s many things in common between the Kamala and Trump voter than you actually think! Hope the media you see won’t go back to negativity and let’s all stay strong!
Keep your peace, but don’t blame the people who are actively trying to stop us from heading in the direction of anger and blame. Trump represents the ability to drive people on anger rather than information, and I wish it was as simple as the same things happening in the other side but it’s not. He is manipulating the people that don’t have the time to watch hours and hours of political discussion and are more influenced by their needs than the right direction. All those in my life who take an interest in world issues and politics understand what he is. Those who focus on other things in life like Trump cause he’s cool, and he told them he will make their lives better. I agree we can’t turn on each other, but to support this man is irresponsible, and personally for the people I love I can’t just pretend it’s not.
Brexit politician didn't held their promises, Trump didn't with that wall, this border is still an issue, after 4 years his presidency...it wont get better, illegal migration wont be solved, they need someone to blame, i guess
I had a girl I barely know from years ago post an FB status asking for conservative voters to message her and explain why they voted the way they did because she was genuinely curious. We had a fantastic conversation where we both acknowledged the truth: people vote for the party that you think values and prioritizes the things that will best serve you and your family/friends/community. And we can’t be mad at anyone for that. Fascinating conversation.
Yeah, but I can't help but ask, "How did that work out for everyone?" We lost our house in 2008, and the slime trail for that little crash was quite clearly traced back to Slick Willy. Every problem in this world can be summed up thusly: Everyone is more concerned with looking good than being good. That's the problem with the cities that have been under Democrat control for so long they've turned into cesspools. That's the problem with gun free zones. That's the problem with China's mishandling of the Covid pandemic.
8 years ago, a female friend asked me if I had voted for Trump. I nodded yes and she kicked me in the shin. This year she voted for Trump. It was well worth the wait
I lost my friend I’ve had since high school over this. Literally never even spoke about politics with her and yet she knew I voted for Trump and when she found out he won she blocked me and told me I was garbage. Happy to see that she wasn’t a true friend and I would have sent this to her if she wanted to have an honest conversation.
All you can do is pray for her to be more "inclusive" to those with whom she disagrees, and continue to live out your own values. So many of us are former democrats that have quickly found out one side will embrace us even while disagreeing on some things, while the other side hates us. This new coalition has unity!
I don't agree with Trump, and I identify as an Independent, but as someone who unfriended an (extremely liberal) friend of mine after she showed me how little she respected my opinions, I'm truly sorry. I have liberal and conservative friends, and I love all of them the same. We need more respectful discourse in this country.
Looks like the trash took itself out after all. Remember she was willing to be your friend if she got HER way only. You’re better off without those people in your life
I am a 31 year old single mom with 2 mixed-race daughters and I was more left-leaning back when I first stumbled upon your channel around a year ago because of who I am and who my kids are; I felt I had no place in the republican party because that's what the left always told me. So, I really did *not* agree with you in the beginning, but I tuned in anyway for a different perspective and to broaden my own understanding of things. I have to say, truly, you are the biggest reason I am now far more right wing. Democrats lean so heavily on using fear tactics to gain their following and I fed into it, thinking only they could save me from the fear *they* gave to me. I don't spend so much time worrying about being judged or shunned or mocked or being a "victim" anymore because I see things more clearly. So, keep doing your thing, Brett.
We love you and your kids! It is important for all of us to be able to hear dissenting voices and try to understand what they are really saying. Once we know, we can decide if they make a good case for their stance on things. If not, move on, if yes, how do we incorporate their genuine needs into a solution? Is the solution the primary responsibility government, family, the church, etc.?
Brett, i am a 15 year old chinese highschool girl who lives in california surrounded by the most extreme left classmates, friends, and teachers. watching your videos after hearing them complain about trump all day long is a breath of fresh air to me and gives me confidence that im not alone. Because of you, i am proud to say that im a republican. Thank you so so much and keep doing what your doing.
Gosh It must be really tough. I didn't want to go to school in the US for that exact reason. Also given I am the type to voice my opinions I would get cancelled the day I enter school lol. Stay strong.💝
Keep your head up, and be careful who you share your opinions with! Good luck with high school and beyond - it's already hard enough for the cool kids who seem to fit in, let alone for those who think critically and independently. You rock!
@genshinsage You sound like a lefty spewing such ideas. Stop the fear mongering please. Stop characterizing whole states as "demonic". Or go join the Dems who talk like you.
"Maybe I'll change your mind, maybe not" I was a toxic Lib from 2016 to 2022, and the sole person who pulled me back to sanity was Brett. Watching RUclips Shorts in the back of the horrible Liberal coffee shop I worked at two years ago, one of Brett's videos popped up and I watched it scornfully at first. Then more videos came up and I still remember the glorious realization that I didn't have to be miserable and could, in fact think for myself. I'll never stop being thankful for your channel, Brett. Thank you for bringing me back to sanity.
You’re incredibly smart! It is so amazing to see such a young woman standing up for her beliefs and not afraid of doing so! If only there were more gen Z people like you, Brett!
I voted for Kamala but this was really nice. No condescension, just honest opinions and trying to remain factual. Thank you for allowing me to see things differently and showing respect to others while you’re at it
It certainly is a much nicer and gentler way of trying to reach across to those that didn't vote the same way than some do. I think that over time there will be a lot more people who voted for Trump who will act in this type of way once the relief/catharsis of seeing Trump win starts to fade. I know that catharsis is a large part of what's driving so many reaction videos showing the meltdowns from people who have lost their minds because of the election results, both catharsis in Trump winning, as well as some vindication/payback for all the hate that has been directed at the right and people supporting Trump for so long. Hopefully more people will eventually calm down and see the results Trump brings and be reeled back to sanity, but I fear that many are just too far gone to ever be able to come back to sanity, unfortunate people who have been suckered by all the lies and fearmongering
Brett, you are a very large part of getting women to vote red in the booths. Both men and women across the country thank you and everyone at The Daily Wire for your contributions.
As a liberal, this is the kind of political content we need to be sharing! Making fun of or spreading misinformation does not switch people’s votes but this kind of content does. Hope to see more content like this! ❤️
I want to be optimistic about Trumps presidency, and I truly don’t believe things will be too bad. But Matt Walsh from the daily wire has already tweeted in support of project 2025 after Brett herself and many right wing supporters strongly opposed it, or at the very least denounced and distanced themselves from it.
@@elizabethdeaconson1519so you are defining what Trump the US president that already served a whole Term and has been one of the biggest faces of politics for nearly a decade...based off what some of his supporters said. By that logic it wouldn't be wrong of me to assume that had Harris won she would have legalized bestiality or pedophilia because most zoophiles or maps online are left wing. Just this whole project 2025 thing isn't going to happen Trump has repeatedly made it clear he wants nothing to do with it it's not a thing he will do because whether you like it or not Trump does what he says and he's said every time when asked about it that he is opposed to project 2025 and the only reason he didn't go around disputing democrats claims about how he would instate project 2025 was because he knew few people cared about it (l mean based of personal experience half the country doesn't even know about project 2025)
My grandma died of covid. My best friend lost here visa and got deported to the phillipines. Both these things happened under Trump's presidency. This is why I voted against him. I feel like I am the only that remembered how shitty 2020 was or how many protests occured.
As a right wing woman teenager, I lost a friend group on Election Day due to my views. I walked into school to crying children. I lost a friendship, but I’ve gained 4 years with a man who has my best interest in America. MAGA 🇺🇸 Edit: what a community I’ve found on this platform 🫶 stay cool peeps! Never stop the fight for our country 🇺🇸 God bless the USA
They weren’t your friends to begin with. You’ll find better friends that won’t reject you for your views. Wishing you the best but it sounds like you’ll be just fine.
lol. Among the people Trump doesn’t give a fuck about, young women are at the bottom of his list. He owned Miss Universe, an organization that ranks women. There is video of him talking about how newborn Ivanka’s legs will look when she is older. He has 14 pending rape charges against him. Your former friends are right. Not that Kamala is the answer, but Trump is definitely not the answer.
I'm sharing this with my 14yo daughter because of the fear mongering that's lead her to believe she doesn't have rights anymore. Being a man I'm never taken seriously when I try and rights abortion or women's rights, so hopefully you'll be a beacon of light for her. Thank you!
Show your daughters videos of women in Iran or Afganistan and explain to them what real oppression of women is, versus imagined American women's oppression.
I just lost a dear friend of 8 years. I'm grieving but after what they called people "like me" I knew it was over. I don't regret voting how I voted, but my heart is broken for how sick he became with his TDS.
@@PistolPete2141you’ll know who you’re real friends are. no one likes losing people and i’m scared too but they weren’t real friends if they’re leaving over politics.
@@PistolPete2141 Sometimes it is better to loose those friends that need loosing. I submit that if someone cut ties with you for your election choices, they probably were not your friends in the first place.
All of my friends are liberals..and I used to be too..but politics isn’t worth losing friends over. I quietly voted for Trump, they don’t know and I don’t think it’s any of their business. I don’t boast (as much as I want to) and I don’t bait..I love them where they are as I know the brainwashing goes deep.
My main concern with what you're trying to say about gay marriage is that in his website, on his policies, he states he wants to promote the Sanctity of marriage, which by definition means marriage between a man and a woman. My other issue is why would Nobel prize winning economists around the world all come together saying his policies will plumet our economy if it weren't true. That would be insinuating their lives work isn't to help the economy, but rather to lie about it. It's not to argue, just genuine questions from someone who is scared and who is still very apprehensive of him
As someone who identifies as a moderate who tends to lean liberal, I really appreciate this video. Post-election has been nothing but growing anxiety about women's rights, birth control and abortion rights especially, being ripped away and watching this has allowed me to finally take a deep breath. Even if there are differences in some of our values, thank you for the straight-forward, no holds barred, approach to explaining your beliefs; it has undone so much pain and stress that those around me have caused.
I’m so glad you could see this to put your fears aside from the lies that are constantly spread. I have a friend in Texas where they have strict abortion laws, and she recently had an ectopic pregnancy. That is not considered an abortion and it was taken care of right away without any mention of it being illegal or doctors fearing retribution from performing the procedure, because in spite of what they try to tell you, it’s not considered an abortion. Women will do a lot better under Trump, lower gas prices from lifting the restrictions on domestic oil production and electric vehicle mandates, also he’s going to cut taxes for the working class, he also is bringing in someone to audit the government because it is the most inefficient entity with a ridiculous amount of redundancies throughout, which we’re paying way too many taxes for. Trump also mentioned last time he was president he had a huge learning curve but this time he’s already out so much in place so he can hit the ground running 🙌 I’m so excited!
@@UnknownSource08 Better late than never. Imagine how it feels for some people to finally realise everything they believed their entire lives has been a lie. Spread kindness and understanding 🙌
I voted for Kamala. But I have to thank you for the effort you’re putting into speaking genuinely to those of us grappling with disappointment right now. The only thing we can do right now is accept and move forward, ideally with unity. I genuinely appreciate this video, thank you, sincerely.
Deep respect to you for your courage to come say hi! No Ill will for voting for Kamala. It's your right to vote how you feel to. I sincerely wish you peace and comfort right now. Even though I am very grateful that Trump won (as a trump voter) I also understand how scary and painful it must be on the other side of the aisle, especially considering the horrible things the media has said about Trump to create fear (I felt that same fear and uncertainty in 2020). I truly hope Brett's video can help you feel some of the peace of mind that we feel now, because you deserve it just like every person in this country does. ❤ Take care!
I showed this video to my dad who voted for Kamala. We had a really great 2 hour conversation afterwards and by the end he admitted that “you have better reasons for voting for Trump than I did for voting for Kamala.” My dad is my best friend so having his support and love is everything to me. Thank you for this video, Brett. It helped put into words what I could not.
That’s actually awesome to hear, especially when there’s so many friends and family being divided over politics. It seems not many Kamala voters are willing to actually listen and ration so I’m glad your dad is a good one. Bless your relationship 🩷
We love you Brett ❤️❤️❤️ thank you so much for being such a big voice for all of us. I’m 22 and I can relate to you so much more than so many people I meet.
You're so awesome Brett !! I was so insulted that they thought the "abortion ban" nonsense could scare me into voting for them, and they offered nothing else except easily debunked lies and emotional manipulation.
@@janelleg597 Well, PA was flipped red & PA has a large Amish population that voted for the first time (thanks to Scott Presler, Eli Yoder & I'm sure many others) - for Trump.
Appreciate this very much. People need to know that they genuinely do not need to fear Trump being elected and should in fact be excited. Such a needed change. Love your content so much, thanks for being a great and strong voice!!
I am proud to say that I am a POC who voted for Trump this election. I am black, yes, but before that I am an *American* citizen, and I care about my country deeply. Time to take her back!
There was 0% Chance they would actually give reparation's like she said. All of that money to first time home buyers, immigrant families, new families would have come out of your taxes. God bless you.
Growing up in a Liberal household I’ve always been exposed to “Trump is a Racist, he wants to get rid of abortion, he’s a felon etc.” I’ve never got to know the conservative part of things and watching this video has really cleared some things up, I’ve veiwed myself as a liberal but that may change soon, thanks Brett
The fact that there are still people out there like you, who are willing to hear out an opposing point of view, is refreshing. It keeps the flame of hope well stoked.
not agreeing with the authoritarian left is the most liberal view to have. It's not us who isn't liberal, it's the left hijacking that word "liberal" without even knowing and respecting it's meaning. forcing, shunning, cancelling, isolating, mocking and attacking people if they don't subscribe to the leftist cult and don't parrot the same things word for word (literally like a religion) isn't liberal.
I voted blue because I don’t like Trump and he did a terrible job during Covid 19 and dealing with it and then the January 6th event was sickening. He also now is a felon and has crime charges against him and the things that come out of his makes no sense. He mocked someone who had a disability which I have a disability but a different one. I haft to say I feel the same feeling that a lot of woman are feeling scared for the next four years that I was up until 4:00am in the morning the next day crying my eyes out. People are allowed to speak their opinions which you did but don’t know why people are so afraid of having a woman as a president I understand Trump won and I can’t do anything about that.
man you guys need to relax, the human species has always been a greedy violent destructive bunch, they always will be with the systems in place. just fulfil your desires and don't worry too much, that's all existence is nowadays
As a queer teenager who is pretty liberal, I do agree minors should not go through hormone blockers or surgeries. I think it is better to make the decision in their 20s when they are ABSOLUTELY sure about it.
The sad thing is that it is such an obvious conclusion. We don't let kids smoke, we don't let them drive, we don't let them make most of their own decisions, but somehow a decent number of people think we should let them decide what they are for the rest of their entire lives? And some think that process should start as an infant or toddler? It just makes no sense to me, even if the phenomenon of children who "know" they are trans is real, it isn't okay to let kids do hat to themselves before they even have a concept of who they are. I used to be liberal, but stuff like that forced me to leave the party and reconsider what my values really are.
@ I think having trans women in a women’s sport is a double edged sword, like a lot of people say, it could be a disadvantage for biological women but some people can say people are doubting the abilities of a biological woman. I don’t think it is that simple.
@@StaceyLuvsSnom It is that simple, men have physical advantages over women, period. Most female athletes aren't afraid to admit it, and don't want to compete against men.
Well spoken and spot on. Thanks for being a voice for all the people who voted for trump. And to be fair hearing this from a woman vrs a man is empowering.
Very regrettably, I succumbed to the pressure from my liberal friends to vote for Kamala. I felt so wrong doing it. Everything in me told me to vote for Trump like I intended to and it made me sick even bubbling in the vote for Kamala. I wish I could go back and change my vote so bad. But I am so very happy to see Trump won anyway and I'm so proud of America. I'll never let myself be pressured like that again. Thank you to everyone who had the courage I lacked to stand up for what is right. The future is brighter because of all of you.
You know what, I say hold your head high and try not to beat yourself up too much. I’ve made choices based on social pressure before that I regret, but in the grand scheme of things, what counts is how you respond after you realize you regret it, you know? Just because you didn’t vote for Trump doesn’t mean you don’t or can’t support him. What’s going to unite this country is not who we voted for on Nov 5th, but how we treat those who voted differently from us every day after. There’s room for all of us who want to shed the fear and make America a safe, prosperous place again ❤
I think you should take this as a learning experience.Peer pressure is a real thing, and it's even harder when it's people that are close to you doing it. However, I do think this is where you need to be firm with them because this was "your" vote, not theirs to make for you. They should love you and respect you and your decision. That goes with almost anything else in life.People aren't always going to agree, and that's okay.
That’s okay! ❤ I have been peer pressured before as well, I used to be a die hard Liberal until I realized the bigger picture. I lost a few friends over it, and that’s okay! People will judge you, mock you, but as long as you hold true to yourself from now on, nothing else matters. Please don’t get discouraged as I have before, I love it on the right and we welcome you with open arms my love. ❤
@@obtusemoOOose A lot of people have been voting for the pressure of others, thats why turningpoint usa talked to many voters for you to vote for who you wanted to vote but knowing why you wanted to vote for them. So its okay! No worries, ♥️
I used to be on the left. But every time I differed from their views even a tiny bit I was bullied, harassed, ostracised. I kept being told I was bigoted, evil and out of touch for wanting open discussion, free speech, true equality (not equity), and even for wanting kids! I started listening more to what people on the right were actually saying. I started having discussions with people on the right. And I experienced true inclusion and tolerance like never before, like I had never experienced on the left. I left the left. I'm just sad it took me as long as it did to leave.
Me too! This is only my second election I voted in but seeing the difference in myself from the last 4 years til now is mind blowing. I read about propaganda in my history books but I never realized it was happening to me RIGHT NOW! I’m so glad I had an open mind and did my research, just like so many democrats in this election, and we found our way out and think for ourselves now. I LOVE the American people, my people. ❤ 🇺🇸
i'm glad you guys in this thread were able to escape! de-programming oneself (i'm 51 and painfully deprogrammed myself through my 30's and 40's) is a tough road. but worth it in the end. it's honestly why you are here on University Earth. well done.
This channel was the main reason I moved away from the left and the democratic party. I appreciate you and your team Brett, as I hope you help alot more people Shame I couldn't vote, birthday was after election
Exactly it’s so bs what people say, I just if I don’t really care about what they believe so someone at school or something I’ll just act as neutral as possible
To be fair, the right has a real risk of playing into the same standards of intersectionality to prove that they're not istaphobes. You should see how our "Conservative" party talks in the UK...
Completely breaks their narrative, would be funny is hell if it was tulsi/vance for 2028, and just seeing libs come in droves because it’s a woman, I am certain they’d do that
My friends on the left are going through some major freakouts right now. Most of them don't even know I'm a republican and a Trump voter because they'll all turn on me, call me a fascist, and probably try to cancel me. This state of the world kind of sucks, but I'm definitely a 90% closeted trump supporter.
I’m going through the same thing. My friends know I’m conservative but think I didn’t vote because I had to lie to them. I voted for Trump. They’re freaking out about the election.
During my youth and early adulthood, I enjoyed partaking in marijuana. It was always my deeply personal and shameful secret. Now that it is legal where I live and considered a mostly acceptable form of recreation (or whatever), and I can finally relax and just be myself, I now have to hide my true self (again) all for the crime of being a conservative.
Brett, this may be the best episode you and your team have produced. So much information and truth packed into a brief presentation. I hope it reaches and touches its intended audience and causes many frustrated and fearful people to ponder different perspectives and find the peace they desperately need.
This as an extremely refreshingly informative and common sense conservative take. Thank you for existing. I’m gonna have to check out more Brett cooper.
Brett this legitimately helped calm my anxiety from the past few days. I have had multiple bridges burned because of “friends” political views not aligning with mine and have felt so alone. I feel genuinely bad for the women I know who are scared and devastated because of Trump getting back into office and I know there is not much I could do to inform them and help them realize it’s not the end of the world. Your channel is legitimately why I believe what I believe, and you helped me become confident and firm in those beliefs not letting anyone else change me. Thank you.
I used to say that I don't like politics and want to stay far away from it. But watching Brett, Ben Shapiro, Michael, Amala and many other conservatives talk about different issues, i realized that if I want my kids to grow up well in a great country I need to stand up and be aware of what's happening with the government and the country. You guys made me aware of so many issues that I never stopped to think about before. So THANK YOU so much for that! You guys are doing great work!! Keep it up!! I hope you reach many more people, especially more youth and young minds.
It'd be interesting to see what the Asian vote was. I've seen a lot about the voting percentages for white, black, Hispanic, male, female - but not Asian.
Can you talk more about the tariffs that he wants to implant on imported goods? Because that was one of my biggest concerns, as those can’t possibly HELP the economy. Our companies pay them, and then they raise their prices on products so that their bottom line doesn’t change. No American company is going to eat the cost of tariffs. I can see no possible pathway for tariffs to IMPROVE the economy. Do people realize just how many things are imported?
tariffs were actually placed in trumps last term and nothing drastic happened. tariffs force US manufacturers to produce and make products in the USA, making competition with foreign goods. if a company in china manufactures their goods in USA then they won’t have tariffs on their goods. it just makes companies work harder in USA rather than than giving china money cus their products are cheap (shein or temu) i might be wrong but this is the gist of it.
That may be true about tariffs. But I also think raising the minimum wage and/or charging higher taxes to the wealthy and to corporations would end up raising prices on consumer goods, but many on the left never seem to care about that. I might be wrong about this, but wouldn’t enforcing many of the environmental protection rules and laws also end up raising the cost of living and prices of consumer goods? I’m hoping just the threat of tariffs will be enough to bring more manufacturing jobs back to the US.
I don’t think that the federal minimum wage actually plays too big of a part in the job market at this point. I’m not as familiar with the practices of many businesses in some of the higher poverty rate areas of the country, but what it does look like to me is that no half-decent company starts their employees at such a low wage anymore. I do feel like the vast majority of companies offer well over the fed minimum anyways. I was of the mindset that a higher tax rate to corps and ultra wealthy was a way to negate the larger impact to middle class families while also attempting to infuse local governments with the means to do more in their cities and states such as public education, law enforcement, construction, and so on. The biggest issue, to me, with US manufacturing is that America simply doesn’t have the abundance of raw materials like the primary exporting countries do, AND it comes down to a couple other issues, who do you think is primarily responsible for manufacturing work? It’s low paying, tough work. So who mostly does that in this country? Immigrants. And that opens up the whole other can of worms that we all understand. And in my humble opinion, your average American job seeker doesn’t wish to have a manufacturing job that offers little to no benefits and are not paid enough to consider it a livable wage. There are fundamental problems on both sides, and I don’t truly think either side has any realistic idea how to fix it. Hence the very divided nation.
Kamala voter here! Im an independent who was indifferent about either side because CA always goes blue but I listened to Brett for at least 6 months and really appreciated the points. I really hope you are right because then we can finally stop being beholden to the institutions that shackle our society. Im cautiously optimistic to see what the next 4 years have in store. I know Ill get hate in the comments for outing myself like this but hey just wanted to let Brett know that at least one person was impacted by this video.
You are a breath of fresh air. Thank you for being authentic and hopeful. Loads of integrity. So refreshing to see strength and optimism rather than complete victimization and despair. ❤❤❤
No hate here. The fact that you aren’t spewing vitriol is wonderful. Our side accepts you no matter what as long as you don’t come at us with disdain and hatred 🤗🤗
No hate! You have the right to vote just as anyone! We are all Americans and neighbors and we all want what is best for the country and citizens. MAGA!
Kamala was campaigning for only THREE months and before that Biden was campaigning so how in the world did you switch from supporting her to supporting Trump in the span of only THREE months? What do you see in Trump that you didn't see three months ago?
You are an example of showing kindness and respect towards others, and you will get more in return! I really hope that the democrats, or most of them at least, become as respectful as you because no matter what political party we are, we are all Americans and we should be united, not wishing death to one side. God bless you!
I am an 18 year old Democrat and my family is a hardcore democratic family. After watching this video, I've started to question everything I've learned about Trump and politics itself. I should've known better as I want to an Attorney; and Advocacy Attorney, but I didn't. This is still new to me, all the politics stuff, but I'm glad this video was posted. Thank you for opening my mind.
There are a lot of power people, on both sides, paying to shape our beliefs and perception of the world. After the media was so far off in their election predictions, we should be asking ourselves why! Career politicians are slimy🤢
I wouldn't even call you a Democrat, I'd say you're much more of an idealistic child still. There's a lot more to learn about the world before calling yourself a Democrat when you're only 18, oh wait . . . Trump won because the Democrats are out of touch. lol
You don't have to agree with everything here, but we're so happy that you're open to seeing a different view! We need that in our future attorneys! I live in Maryland; a hardcore blue state. No matter who I talk to from work, or family and friends, all I hear is hate for Trump and peril for the next 4 years. I've had faith in Trump since 2 years into his first term, but it was hard to find the truth and stand for it amongst my liberal community. Don't be afraid to engage in and retain your diversity of thought. Healthy debate brings us together.
Brett, I'm not usually one to comment on these things, but figured I'd give it a shot. I'll go point by point in chronological order, and I hope you can tell me where you think I'm wrong. 1) "You survived the last Trump presidency." Those of us here did, in fact, survive the last Trump presidency; however, let's not forget that over a million people died from COVID, in large part due to Trump's mishandling of the pandemic. He defunded the pandemic response team that Obama had established, who had been warning us of a potential novel coronavirus for years. He failed to send our experts to China to help investigate the origin of the outbreak, instead insisting that Xi had it under control and that China was doing a great job. He said, “China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!” As it turns out, China was not transparent and things did not work out well for the American people. Additionally, Trump suggested using Ivermectin (an animal deworming drug), ingesting bleach or other chemical disinfectants, and using "sunlight and heat" inside the body. What would you say to the million Americans, the majority of whom voted for Trump (as democrats were more likely to get vaccinated and survive), who literally did not survive the last Trump presidency? 2) "Just like we survived the Biden presidency even though we barely skated by considering the state of the economy and being on the brink of war." What policies did Biden implement that threatened your lives? In what way did the Biden administration possibly put your life in jeopardy? What metrics are you using to suggest that the economy is terrible? Over 16 million jobs have been added to the economy under Biden. Wages are outpacing inflation. Unemployment is at 4.1%. GDP per capita is over $80k. Inflation is down to about 2.5%, which is the lowest of any developed nation. The stock market has been setting record after record. Could income disparity be better? Yes. Do low and middle income workers deserve more pay and better protections? Yes. Is the state of the economy bad? Absolutely not. To suggest anything else is to completely deny reality. What war are we nearly on the brink of under Biden? Trump talks about bombing countries on a near daily basis. He wants Ukraine to surrender to Russia. His future appointments of Huckabee and Rubio want Israel to escalate the situation in Gaza, not deescalate. When he was in office last time, he essentially negotiated our surrender to the Taliban, threatened to pull out of NATO, and pulled out of the Iran deal that would have overseen their nuclear program. So he and his loyalists are enabling Putin, provoking Hamas, giving power to the Taliban, weakening NATO, and potentially allowing Iran to develop a nuclear weapons program. Brilliant. 3) "We had peace and world leaders respected him." None of our allies respected him, and we did not have peace. Other world leaders relentlessly mocked him and laughed at him. Russia just ran nude pictures of Melania all over their state media this week to mock the two of them again. During his presidency, Russia had still annexed Crimea, which he did nothing about. There was still fighting in the Donbas, which he did nothing about. Iran attacked our troops, who suffered from traumatic brain injuries from the blasts, and he said they were just, "headaches." Not to mention what I already said about NATO, Iran, and the Taliban. In a normal presidency, we support and praise our allies and use our might to threaten our enemies. Instead, Trump praised our enemies and threatened to abandon our allies. It was a disgrace. 4) "Impossible to overturn Dobbs." The overturning of Roe. v Wade occurred because Mitch McConnell blocked Obama from nominating Merrick Garland and then forced Amy Coney Barrett through in the 11th hour. Notably, the new conservative justices all lied about Roe v Wade. Trump is now going to likely get to nominate another two justices. With two additional liberal justices had Kamala won, Roe v Wade would have been restored. While she could not have done that directly through an executive order, she could have fixed things with Supreme Court nominees. Trump's promise means literally nothing. He lies as easily as he breathes. He promised to build the wall - nope. He promised COVID would just "go away"- nope. He promised that he would be too busy to play golf as president - played over 250 rounds. He said he would repeal Obamacare (the ACA) and replace it with something better - nope (he still only has a "concept of a plan" 9 years later). He said he'd cut everyone's taxes - taxes for the bottom went up. He said he wouldn't cut Social Security, Medicare, or Medicare - then he did. He promised to erase the federal deficit - then added more to it than any other president in history. Are we noticing a pattern? 5) "Access [to abortion] has increased in most states...but you can freely travel." Deaths due to complications during pregnancy have risen 56% since the abortion ban in Texas. There are countless stories of women bleeding out or losing their ability to conceive because doctors are too scared of being imprisoned to provide them with the care they need. 111 Texas OB/GYNs just wrote a letter to elected officials urging them to change the law so that they could save more women's lives. If you don't have money, or if you are in an emergency, it is not possible to just "travel" for care. Abortions are not simply a way to get rid of an unwanted fetus. Abortions are a necessary medical procedure to deal with things like ectopic pregnancies or miscarriages. Even if you believe that Trump is for exceptions due to rape, incest, and life of the mother, many of his supporters are not. Many leaders in red states that have been emboldened by Dobbs do not. How do you justify a pass on Trumps part when the reality is little or no exceptions in many states (none in MS, OK, and SD)? Frankly, I agree that Trump probably isn't for no exceptions, particularly if asked in private, but states are still free to pass legislation with no exceptions. If Trump were protecting rights, he would mandate that states must leave exceptions for things like rape, incest, and life of the mother, but he hasn't. He also literally said, "There has to be some form of punishment." I'm only 4:30 in and I need to take a break. Will try to continue if I can bring myself to watch any more of this.
My girlfriend, her mom and mine are all extremely liberal. My girlfriend has been incredibly hostile and screaming at me since finding out that I voted for Trump. I wasn’t planning on telling her, but she asked and I was honest. I was ridiculed for my honesty in such a nasty and disrespectful way. I fear that my and her mother will have the same response. Right now, I face the potential of temporary homelessness, being ostracized from my family and losing my relationship with my otherwise very loving partner. I knew this would complicate my relationships with all of them and maybe more, but at the end of the day, I will never compromise what I believe is right. Even at such great costs… Thank you for creating space for a deeper understanding on these points.
My heart goes out to you! May God calm your, your girlfriend's, and your family's minds! The Lord will not ostracize you, no matter what happens. He died and rose for you, your loved ones, and the whole world and you can take comfort in that. You and all whom you love are in His loving arms!
I’m a high school student and a liberal and I admit I was not the happiest with the election results but this made me feel much more calm and accepting of them- I really appreciate your calm and factual stance!
And if it doesn't work out, we get to vote again in four years. Don't believe the fear talk, Trump only has four years, he's not going to be a dictator.
You`re so easy to brainwash. Even a 23y.o. pussy managed to do that with her superficial 'analysis'. A girl like this could be a good choice for Trump's next federal appointment. She`s incompetent and loud enough for his likings.
Kamala voter here, and yes I did make it to the end of the video because I like to hear other opinions about different things. Unfortunately it was rather difficult to get on this side of the internet during the election time. I do not regret voting for Kamala but if what you say is true, then this video has taken some stress off my shoulders about everything.
It is true. The dems fear mongered, manipulated, and lied to you about Trump. I say that compassionately, they are master manipulators. Time will show there will be no violence or loss of rights, they just wanted people to think that to get your vote. They had a weak candidate and weak platform, so they based their campaign on identity politics, abortion, hating Trump, and celebrity endorsements. Sorry to say bro but they lied and took advantage of you!
Hi there! I was once a die hard democrat, and if a democrat in the future better aligns with my values in the future I would have no problem voting for them. Thanks for stopping by and listening to our side!
It’s true. Kamala even admitted everything and everyone is going to to be fine in her concession speech. Having the media calling him Hitler was a strategy to win over people. They didn’t mean it.
Thank you for watching with an open mind. When your strongly held beliefs are challenged its difficult. I've been there. Keep opening your mind questioning and listening and healing will happen
You are such a breath of fresh air. Your generous demeanor and the absence of animosity towards those who didn’t vote like you is do refreshing. It’s how I grew up as a 60s/70s kid, and you give me hope that we can restore that sensibility back into our electoral process. Thank you for that, sweet girl. ♥️
I'm an independent who leans a bit more towards liberalism than conservatism. I deeply enjoy listening to Brett, and this video made me re-confirm why I like her videos. We might not agree on everything, but sharing your political perspective in such an educated and compassionate way is something that both democrats and republicans need a lot of work on. Keep up the great work, Brett.
This wasnt very compassionate. Just saying. Her conservative bias leaks out of her every word, and she is not very open to accepting the views of others
@@ziglaus Keep smoking that copium. Won't change the fact you are all losers who didn't take a SINGLE line item in government. Why? Because AMERICA does not agree with you weirdos.
@@ziglaus This was as compassionate as you get in modern American politics. The title, was about why she voted and she explained it without any condescending tone or rubbing it in anyone's face. She stated in the video that we were all free to agree to disagree which at least brings civil discourse
@codedion there was absolutely a condescending tone, and a lot of things she said are pure propaganda. Thats just the truth. Shes not talking about data, shes talking about political talking points
first time watching Brett, and damn girl spits the truth rapid fire! this was one of the most coherent explanations of why Trump appeals to so many people. really appreciate you speaking about this!
I (a black man) voted red and I do not know why people are being so dramatic saying things like “We’re going back to the Jim Crow south!” As if the people who voted for Biden last time suddenly became racist, sexist and homophobic. Like most Americans I’m not really blue or red, I voted for my beliefs as a Christ follower and the points touched on in this video. Simple.
I also voted as a Christ follower❤I surrendered to Christ in February and got baptized October 20th.🎉 This is the first time I voted republican. My 33 year old daughter who never voted before and can't drive. I drove her to vote and we both voted for Trump after much prayer 🙏🏽
I’m a liberal and I voted for Trump. I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that Ive supported and defended a group of people that have done nothing but lied and are full of greed. Watching you Brett has really opened my mind and see Donald Trump in a whole new light that I would never thought I would see in the light of day. I feel like a baby giraffe that’s starting to stand and walk for the first time. Honestly I just feel bamboozled
Always beware opinions of others. Find your roots in your values. Hear both sides, and agree/disagree as you see fit. Glad you've awakened, perhaps instead of being "woke". Just beware that both extremes are usually rigid and oppressive.
brett i love you so much!! im so glad i found you, all my friends are left and ive always felt out of place and compromising my views but you made me feel safe and braver to speak my mind!❤ bless you brett❤
Gave your video a shot. I still strongly disagree on almost every front, but even so congratulations on your win. Enjoy your president, I genuinely hope you get everything you voted for. You have the WH, the Congress AND the SC, so let's see what happens.
I'm at the same wave length as you! I disagree with the points stated but I do enjoy listening to Brett. She helps me understand an opposing view and why others may share it. Congrats on your win Brett, interested in what the future holds.
@@TheFuraidoPoteto I would disagree/disapprove of such treatment being forced or impressed upon youth by their parents or peers, or the most extreme/irreversible treatments being given to young people who are impressionable and still in the process of developing their identity. That said, people have the right to live how they wish insofar as they don't bring harm to anyone else, so I'm not behind the idea of blocking any/all treatment whatsoever. What I will say is that in the vast majority of cases, kids who think they might be trans are "eased into" the process for them to gauge how they feel beforehand. So, under the age of puberty that would be things like letting them dress how they want and calling them what they want to be called. If they consistently feel more comfortable/at peace with that, they could potentially explore puberty blockers after the age puberty begins. At this point treatment is wholly reversible in the event they change their mind. Hormone therapy is when you get to the point of it getting more difficult to reverse the process, though by this point it can still be done, and is strongly advised against until the individual in question showed the ability to give informed and knowledgeable consent, a vague benchmark of this is around 16. And lastly surgical procedures are typically only afforded to adults after the age of 18. So I would say a blanket ban isn't great, but I also feel like real and non-biased counseling where a younger person could safely discuss how they feel with an expert before and also while exploring anything in this process would be wise.
This needs to be on the RUclips home page! So good and honest. There are so many people I have seen that are genuinely afraid for their lives and it’s all because of the media’s lying and fear-mongering. Thank you so much for making this well put together video, I truly hopes it reaches those who are struggling with the election outcome. It’s heartbreaking knowing there are people who are genuinely terrified right now and some suicidal.
Brett is an intelligent young woman that seems not only to have a good head on her shoulders but a spirit of common sense as well. You are a shining light to your generation. Never lose sight of your dreams and never forget where you came from. Keep up the good work and God bless you and your family.
Brett! You just gained a new audience and subscriber. Thank you soo much for posting this video! I consider myself to be a “left-leaning liberal” and center-left (on a good day) voter, and I found this video to be very, very informative and it made me understand more why a lot of voters, including fmr. Democrats voted for Trump. Although we may have differences in views and policies, I promise you I will do my part to be open minded while listening and understanding what the other side’s opinions are without dismissal. I will do my part to seek common ground and participate in civil dialogues, which we so desperately need in this country, without all the hostility, name-calling, and finger pointing. It is time to work together and become a unified country. Looking forward to your next video. Take care!
Hey Brett, I'm "on the left" (hate saying that! Just creates unnecessary division, really there a few more democratic policies I support relative to republican policies, but let's ignore labels). I really love your videos. I think you make straightforward and compelling content. I really agree with lots of your points of view, especially re: trans rights and minors transitioning. I do have some counterpoints though, as someone who genuinely, deeply fears a Trump presidency. First, to your point about respect. I'm really not sure that other world leaders respect Donald Trump. There are documented instances of World leaders criticizing him, and his comments. Also, instances of him not being aware of basic aspects of government, including how the military works and is organized. On inflation, he's been unspecific about his economic plan since 2016. Moreover, the inflation that we're seeing right now is happening worldwide, it's not unique to the US. We've also made significant progress in reducing inflation under Joe Biden -- the annual rate was 2.1% in September, close to the Federal Reserve's 2% target. This is better than other countries like the UK, Canada and Europe. On "we've survived this before", re: Trump's 2016 presidency, it's worth remembering that many people didn't. The proportion of people that died from Covid under Trump was huge relative to proportions in other countries (significantly higher % of the US population died than the UK Canada and Europe). He didn't seem to understand basic science and talked about injecting bleach into people's veins as a solution. Statements like that don't increase trust that a leader is competent. On he "tells it like it is", as far as him being honest and doing what he says and not bending the knee, Trump did not repeal and replace Obamacare like he endlessly said he would when he campaigned the first time, Mexico did not pay for the border wall, Trump did not release his tax returns even though he said he would, he didn't pass the $1 trillion infrastructure bill that he said he would. The list goes on. On hush money payments, and that the felonies were "just because of the way he paid people and notated those payments." That's not true. The reason it was a felony was because he was intentionally manipulating the election by concealing what the payments were for. He didn't want information about the porn star to come out before the election. So he paid her off, but didn't want anyone to find out that he paid her off, so he covered it up, and that's the felony. Reality is, he had way too much personally on the line for me to believe he has genuine ambitions to help people across the country. With all of his different lawsuits, I think he had no other alternative except to run. He threw such a huge fit when he lost last time that resulted in people storming the capital and several people died!! After endlessly lying to the 2020 election was stolen when it wasn't. Point in fact, he's not claiming that 2024 was rigged. Why didn't the people who cheated in 2020 also cheat in 2024? Because 2020 was never stolen. Lastly (and sorry this is so long, I could go on!) I don't believe that he is a sound businessman with reasonable judgement, like his followers believe. I think he's petty, he calls people names, he lies about the most inconsequential things like the size of his rallies, he's desperate for attention and insecure. At the end of the day, you can't trust insecure people. Especially as leaders.
Definitely agree with your points. Especially with the whole "other leaders respected Trump and feared us". We had power, but we were the laughing stock to other countries.
Trump was already President and nobody lost rights, nor was he a tyrant and democracy didn't end. That pretty much gives you some insight of how his second term will go.
@sagewolf-lk7qc i wouldn't really worry about that either honestly. Trump said over and over that he doesn't particularly agree with project 2025. He's got his own plans. The media kinda just ignored that tho.
@@sagewolf-lk7qcproject 2025 was like a pitch of ideas created by a group of republicans. Trump said it himself, the contents were too extreme to his liking. What I like about Trump is that he’s willing to listen to different ideas even if he may not agree with them. RFK, Tulsi, Elon Musk. All have ideas Trump may disagree with. He’s not really into electric vehicles. He’s doesn’t really believe in climate change and RFK does. But he likes RFK’s concerns about people’s health and foods. He’s willing to listen to people as long as it makes sense to him. The democrats on the other hand, you have to agree with abortion, you have to agree with transing kids, men can join women’s sports, you have to pro illegal immigrations or else you’ll be called bigoted. It’s exhausting. Their ideas are pointless, improve nothing and meant only to virtue signal their voter base. It’s like they don’t have principles. They go with whatever seems popular even if it means the destruction of the very foundation of the country or even common senses.
Liberal from San Francisco here 👋🏼 it actually really surprises me how much of what Brett says in this video I truly do agree with. While my disagreements with Trump’s personal character were too much for me to get over in this election, Brett’s reminders of what Trump and his platform actually stand for make me cautiously optimistic about the next 4 years. There are some absolute nut jobs in my party who are always the ones shouting the loudest, but I’d like to think that most republicans and democrats actually agree on most things. For me personally, it can sometimes be scary to publically agree with the super rational arguments made by the right to my very democrat circles. I look forward to cherishing a lot more of our shared commonality than rueing our bitter differences.
We definitely agree on a lot of the same things. We're all Americans at the end of the day. I do hope you do well over the next 4 years. I'm looking forward to them. Hopefully no more wars
The primary argument of the so called right(left and right is kinda outdated terms at this point) is that someone else should not be allowed to vote to take away their property. And should not be allowed to vote to take away their freedoms. The two sides in the political atmosphere these days are "those that want to save the world" and "those that want to live their lives in peace and prosperity". I will never call a guy a woman, regardless of what he wears, you can't force me to lie. I do not want to pay for someone else to spend 5 years studying lesbian dance theory. I do not want to pay for a dysfunctional public transport system I don't use. I do not want the electricity I rely on to be more expensive. I do not want to give up my preferred diet. I do not want my home to have it's cultural and ethnic heritage replaced. I do not care if you want to call a guy a woman, I do not care if you want to pay to spend 5 years studying lesbian dance theory, I do not care if you want to fund and use public transport, I do not care if you want to use less electricity, I do not care if you want to be a vegan, I do not care if you want to invite foreigners into your own home.
If we're being honest surrounding and favoring people who share all the same views creates echo chambers especially when anyone else is demonized. Nobody wants to engage when they're being called a racist sexist bigot or whatever other term especially if it's simply for not agreeing about one thing which has been what's happened for years now. When you can't disagree about something without being attacked it's an ideological problem
YES! This is what has been missing. Red needs blue and blue needs red. Period. Full stop. My opinion is that sensationalism and fear mongering has erased the vast majority of "slightly left of center" and "slightly right of center" people and created WAY MORE "far left" and "far right" people. The mainstream media and their handlers are mostly responsible for this. Its wild how much common ground we have. We just refuse to talk about it because we've been convinced that we're each others enemies.
You can hate the man, but you cant hate the policies. Sure Trump is over the top, but you know he is. You can filter trough it and see the reasoning behind the policies. This election became a shitshow about the person. Demonizing the one guy. Explaining that he is so much worse that you have no other choise than to vote for the other. All this while the policies that he and his party wants to implement is for the good of the nation, not the man. Sure he will benefit in some ways. He will pardon a few people. DOJ will most likely drop a few things. But if the promisses are truely implemented and the country benefits, thats the most important thing. And the left screaming fascism have to take a good look in the mirror. Alot of what they actively do is also fascism. Saying the left cant be fascist is the same as saying you cant be racist against white people. Its an oxymoron.
As a woman I want AMERICANS first. COMPETENT LEADERSHIP. No money going overseas. No illegal immigrants. Low energy costs. No men in women's sports. Repercussions for breaking the law at all level of government
Well said. I completely agree. How dare the Dems accuse me of not voting for Kacklin Kammy because of her skin color or sex. She has invited criminals into our beloved country to rape and murder our women. She wanted me to pay for a criminal to have a sex change operation. She is just a run of the mill idiot.
Yea you are a hypocrite. Plenty of girls played on boys sports in my hs days, hockey, football, wrestling, because they had no team, but couldn't be denied. Then as an adult I had to deal with girls in boy scouts, but no boys in girl scouts. So fess up you want dominance and supremacy over men. Only mad because now things are equal, but strange.
This is my first time voting (I’m 21). I’m Latina and seeing people who I used to consider friends post things about how I’m a disappointment to my own community because I voted for trump has made me a bit down recently. It’s upsetting seeing people cut off family and decade long ties over politics. It’s frustrating seeing people post blatant lies and when presented with the truth they would just tell you that you are racist and homophobic instead of thinking about it. This video explains perfectly why I voted for trump as well as many minorities including my whole family and my fiancé who is black. Thank you for being such an inspiration ❤️
It's never too late to surround yourself with people who share your views or who don't care about your political stance. And I'm glad you've stayed strong. I wish you all the best
I appreciate you taking the time to explain why you voted for Trump, I have not actually heard anyone I know discuss the specifics. I voted for Kamala because I do not agree with Trump's economic plan or his plan for the education system (I'm a teacher), but this has given me a lot to think about and politics aside, I never realized how skewed the media is. I am educated and I know how to research and think critically, but post- election I am realizing how much the media fear mongers and contributes to false narratives and division. So thank you for for sharing your views in a respectful way, this is refreshing. Edit- I keep coming back to this comment section to read comments from others like me who were surrounded by liberal rhetoric reinforced by mainstream media that have suddenly become disenfranchised with it all. I am making an effort to seek out independent news sources and opinions that differ to discover the truth and what truly aligns with me, so thank you to everyone and please continue to be kind it is doing great things 😊
It really is scary and hard to unsee when you realize the depths of media manipulation. This is why, left or right, the internet has been such a game changer. No longer are scripted 45 minute interviews cut into a 10 minute clip and fed to us as the only source of info. Now we have the ability to host a president to sat down and talk to Rgoan unscripted for 3 hours. The growth of independent media is one of the most important things to happen in my lifetime.
@@katesmith8424 He wants to get rid of the department of education and turn the power over to the states, my issue with that is it would mean a lot of students would no longer get services they need, such as IEP accommodations, and many schools especially title 1 schools rely on federal funds, states may not be able to or willing to make up the difference of funding resulting in a huge cut in resources. He has also said he wants to reinstate prayers in schools, I am a christian but I believe in separation of church and state. I don't disagree with removing some of the more "woke" education the left is pushing like critical race theory and gender issues because I don't think it should be taught in public schools, as a parent myself I want to talk about those topics when my children ask and how I see fit. There are a few other things I disagree with like removing tenure and pensions for teachers, his goal with that is to get higher quality educators but in many states teachers do not make a lot and those things are incentives to stay teaching. Again, there are things I disagree with that the left pushes as well and I do think the education system needs reform I just do not think this is the best way.
If I didn’t find your channel a year ago, I don’t wanna know where I would be. You, amir, and amala have taught me how to critically think for myself and think with mind and not my emotions ❣️
Thank you for trying to bridge the gap. My fam and I are on two different sides of this election. People do vote for what they think will help their family & the community best
Nearly lost a friend over this. This is my first time voting, im 18. As a black girl, my black friends all assumed i was left. A héll broke loose when they found out. Its ridiculous. Im not ashamed tho. Will never be
I imagine a lot people lost friends over Trump's election.. and I mean literally lost them. [ ruclips.net/video/QM_YRUe_hLA/видео.html "Trump on 1,000 Americans a day dying from COVID-19: 'It is what it is' Aug 4, 2020] [ ruclips.net/video/L1XIXssA1xg/видео.html "Trump resists calls for national lockdown as US deaths reach one-day record high" Apr 2, 2020 ] And that's not even half of how bad it was so I mean if they argue with you or if they've told you "don't talk to me" they're not overreactiong. Their reasons for freaking out over Trump are justified. There's gotta be 100s and 100s of YT videos of everything this guy said, did and tweeted from the night he was elected in 2016 to the night he lost re-election in 2020. I didn't even know about any of this until this year but I haven't stopped talking to any close friends supporting Trump because we all mostly avoid talk about politics but if anybody's going through anything their friends or family memories over Trump it should be understandable. ..Look at what at he's done..
As someone who has been liberal most of my life and has been also surrounded by Trump supporters I have to say the big issue with me is that none of them have ever communicated their thoughts on him or the vision this way EVER. I definitely appreciate this video. I appreciate the delivery and also the tone. There is much to improve with messaging on this and even though I'm still salty I'm gonna take this and think about the possibilities of our future. This is me doing the research. 😎
That's the only problem I have too. Like show me every thing and why is this man is great because I don't hear him or see him. Seems like a norm guy. People making Trump to be the next Jesus Christ. Then when I tell them I dont know then unnecessary name calling instead of educating me like Brett is doing.
exactly most MAGA ppl ik are extremely unhinged too getting aggressive when u ask them anything too! or they just joke about the immigration which makes me not want to even ask more so i’m just like okay this is the kind of people i would align myself with when voting
I am loving it! The media makes the political landscape so foggy. But when we are pulled out of the dark, it seems we have more in common. And even if we don't, we are still Americans.
I’m from Canada and my boyfriend was talking to me about how if he American he’d vote for trump. I loved Kamala, I felt so hopeful for her. I was pretty bummed when trump won but I’m trying to understand more about him and what he believes in:) So this video was really helpful! Thank you
8 years ago, I told my mom that I was going to have to pray daily for the strength to forgive her for voting Trump. I’ve voted Trump in the last two elections and my mother has forgiven ME.
I am a conservative at a big school. The things I have heard all around campus are horrible. Thank you for this! It’s a breath of fresh air and I love listening to you 🫶
Thank you for this video Brett. I think a lot of Americans needed to hear this. Quick story of mine. I come from a conservative family. My voted Trump ever since 2016. (Note: I wasn’t old enough to vote 2016/2020) when he lost in 2020 and started acting questionable on Twitter, I was having 2nd thoughts on voting red. This lasted 9th and 10th grade. I was never blue, but I was VERY undecided. However, my best friend went online during all of 9th grade (Covid) so I got along with another kid who I was kind of friends with in 7th grade. He is VERRRRY Catholic. So he was able to knock some sense into me. And of course, we saw Biden’s presidency went. He can’t even think straight, and on the verge of being hospitalized. After that, I went back to full Red after this. I chose a college in my state that is very conservative and Christian, but still very casual and modern. VERY big MAGA culture here. I learned that after Charlie Kirk came to our school. Immediately knew I chose the right school. And after I saw how insane some liberals can be, it helped reaffirm my viewpoint. Then Election Day came. My school actually offered an election site so I decided to go to that one. There was a guy handing out flyers with all the props that I initially turned down because I had a cheat sheet with all the props I wanted to vote on. But after he insisted, I took it. But after one look at the flyer, I quickly realized it wasn’t a flyer with all the props dumbed down. It was an EXTREMELY liberal sheet telling what to vote on. I’m from AZ, and almost all the props said NO, with only a couple of yeahs. One of those yeahs was 139. Which is about ability to abortion. They picked the WORST one to say yes on. So I ignored it, on in line, met a really cool Trump voter, and you bet your ass I voted Trump Vance in a heartbeat. I was so nervous that night, and stayed up till he won! Remember how I said that I went to a MAGA college? Well my high school senior class was pretty 50/50, and that’s the majority of my instagram. I forgot about that and was in my mind, celebrating with other students who were having a giant rally outside my dorm. So I reposted Matt Walsh’s instagram post of him celebrating the victory to my instagram story. Immediately after that, I had two former classmates dm me their disapproval. I took it down to avoid things from spiraling out of control. I think they’ve gotten over it, but it made me nervous how divided we’ve become. And I’m LUCKY I still have friends. But I can’t believe I was almost brainwashed. Thankfully, my new best friend was able to guide me out of that direction. Thank you David!
This was great. I’m a “3rd party” voter who leans closer to the right than left. My wife is a democrat that has moved much further left than when me met. Not surprisingly, we ended up in an argument on election night. Her arguments were almost the exact same ones refuted by you. I tried my best to do the same. She even tried to claim that the two “ab0rtions” she has had after miscarriages would be banned and she would have died. I appreciate this so much for saying everything so clearly and eloquently. Even though I know not everyone will agree with everything you say, hopefully anyone can see where Trump/republicans are coming from. Thank you.
So well spoken. I wish I could get my 30 year old to see and understand as you do. Keep up your excellent work. This 74 year old enjoys watching you. You make me hopeful for this nation’s future.
When I was younger in elementary school and we said the Pledge of Allegiance, I used to literally tear up because I was so proud to be an American. As the years went by, and I was told America was bad and anywhere else was better, and I stopped loving it here, I stopped feeling like we’re in this together. Throughout this election, when I saw the map and how red it was, I got that feeling again and I cried. I realize that I WANT to love my country and that I DO love my country. I feel like I’m a part of something again. And this is the first time I voted Republican and I’ve never felt more proud to be an American. 🇺🇸 ❤ God bless America!!! 🇺🇸 🙏🏽
This video made me feel better about my vote. As a 32yo black American women, I felt ashamed and sad because I knew if I told anyone who I voted for, I would lose friends. But Brett reassured me that my vote was valid, and I'm not ashamed.
I was thinking about leaving the country and living somewhere in Europe as soon as I financially could (if ever in the Dems' economy, I guess). The election results changed my mind, though. I think I'll be okay staying here for a while😄
@ Yes, you will!!!! In fact, I’d bet everything I have (which admittedly isn’t much LOL!) that you will be BETTER than just ok 😊! Because we will ALL be better!!!! Hugs of welcome to a country filled with HOPE again. ❤️🇺🇸❤️
Thanks for making this. As a centrist guy who voted for Kamala, I am glad and hopeful the immigration problem in our country is going to be dealt with. I also do share the right’s beliefs that minors should not be going through gender reassignment surgery (though what do I know 🤷♂️) Having said all that, I am deeply concerned about Trump’s tariff plans, his plan to deal with the war in Ukraine, and his policies’ effect on climate change and the environment. Alongside all of that, RFK jr. being an anti-vaxxer and leading national health institutions, and Vivek Ramiswamy being… well him. I’ve heard him say some horrible things before tho I probably intentionally forgot about those. As an American born to (legal) Indian immigrants myself, I know that our culture is to be selfish and only protect your close family. We are taught to do whatever it takes to attain status and power, even at the expense of others. I was somehow born intensely empathetic, so I eventually grew out of those beliefs and also Hinduism (I’m agnostic now)…. But I’m pretty sure I’m the exception… unfortunately. And January 6th is why I call Trump a felon. You can’t call the election rigged without proof and try to take it over by force if things don’t go your way. He did that with this election too, until he won. In some ways, I am still very glad he won, but I continue to be concerned by the lack of proper healthcare, horrible environmental policies, the unfortunate potential consequences to the people in Ukraine, and the ACTUAL impact of his tariff plans. Also, deport illegals, but don’t treat them like animals.
I voted for Kamala Harris which I now regret doing because I saw Trump give his victory speech and It was truly one of the greatest speeches I’ve ever heard and It TRULY gave me hope for the future. I finally saw the bigger picture. I want to live in an America that will make us healthier and safer and have freedom. I want the next 4 years to be the “Golden age of America”. I want the next 4 years to have “The greatest economic comeback in American history.” To this day I hate myself for not voting for Trump, but I’m very optimistic for the future and what’s to come.
Don’t hate yourself if you can help it! What matters is that you have clarity and hope now ❤️ I loved Trump’s victory speech and want the same things for all of us too-no matter who voted for whom!
Don't hate yourself! You did what you thought was right! Thank you for being so open and honest with us! You won't find hate here 🩷🩷🩷🩷😉😉And don't worry about the future, it will be amazing, you'll see 😊
You’ll notice with maga, there’s no hate. You live and let learn. Once you’ll see the improvements he’ll make over the damage Biden/Harris has done, you’ll have a clearer mindset for 2028. If JD, Tulsi or Vivek are on the top of ticket, it’ll be a no brainer 😁
Dont hate yourself for growth. You already demonstrate more reason than the average far lefty. Growth is essential to become or stay a responsible adult. Its not believeing 1 person is worse than the other so i have to vote for the other. Its looking at the policies they want to implement and whats good for the country and its populus as a whole, not just one side of the political spectrum. Its like that funny joke alot of young people tend to grow up left due to school/college and low economic backgrounds and turn right after school when they enter the workforce and see their first paycheck.
You just gave me so much peace. Having conversations with all of my friends who are on the left, was getting so exhausting. Thank you for posting this! ❤
I had to share this video because I'm sick of seeing a lot of my friends freak out about things that are never going to happen. Thank you for being a level headed voice of reason! ❤️🇺🇸
I love the part where tariffs, price gouging, no price limits on big pharma, and how billionaires made 64 million dollars with trump simply winning, or on how the rich are getting taxed less was mentioned
Americans don’t know how to read policy and they will be all the worse for it. Trump will help the people like him since those are the people that surround him. Wealth concentration will continue and the working class will get fucked for it
Or the part where she totally admitted that its morally questionable that someone paid off a pornstar to hush about their affair but says no way this is just speculation and agenda. Really insightful take right there
@grimlockthethrasher1 yea, the points she brought up about the case were talked about in left circles, too. Stormy saying she got raped was out of left field and had nothing to do with the case. She failed to mention the fraud in New York and being civilly liable for rape, though. Also, the documents case wasn't because he just took the documents. He took them, refused to give them back many times, got caught trying to move them after the fact, and he was caught trying to sell top secret documents to a billionaire in Australia. The others that took documents and mishandled them gave them back immediately with no fuss. There's a lot in this video I could easily push back on, but it is not worth the essay of a comment.
im 17 and I lost friends over Trump getting elected. I didnt even vote and they wont talk to me anymore. Brett, this video gave me so much hope and reassured my decsion to support Trump. THANK YOU BRETT. ❤️❤️
Hey there! Just want to tell you that you’re not alone in this. I’m 17 as well, I couldn’t vote but I would’ve voted for Trump. When Trump won, my liberal friends began saying “I hate this fucking country” (I never swear, I’m just quoting what one of them said) or “why would people vote a monster to society” or “he wants to take women’s rights away”. I don’t really care about what my friends’ views are, but the fact that they are scared of a man that wants the best for Americans says a lot: they’ve been lied to. I’m doing my best to keep all of them together because we are all mature, we don’t let our feelings get the best of us and ruin our friendship, and as someone said, “elections come and go, dont let politics ruin your relationships”. Even though they don’t want to accept that Trump will be president, it’s fine. No one is forcing or shaming them for not accepting the election, and I know that as time passes by, I hope they will realize sooner or later that Trump never wanted to take women’s rights away, he doesn’t want to ban abortion because he’s letting the people decide, he wants the best for Americans, and that means fixing our problems. Long story short, be kind, sympathetic, understanding, and patient, even if they or other liberals don’t show it back. This will show your maturity and willingness to bring unity for everyone. We want everyone to be united as a nation!
My former high school art teacher is a democrat. After Trump was elected, she took to FaceBook with posts about her fearing for her daughters future and safety. I find it incredibly ridiculous. She genuinely believes that their lives and rights are in jeopardy. Her thinking is not at all based on logic, reason and facts. It's just based on the fact that she has been manipulated and lied to by the left into believing incredibly untruthful things. I find it sad how someone could be so manipulated like her.
I'm 40 and I've already been through this once. I have no interest in preserving friendships with people that are so vehemently in hate with Trump. It's annoying and projection.
@@bmark6971 Very optimistic of you to say, and I appreciate your enthusiasm, but that just won't work with some people. They either have to come to their own moment of realization, or continue to live miserable lives until they die.
I got pregnant in my abdomen. I was about 7 weeks and my uterus and tubes were empty. I live in a state that does not perform abortions and I was immediately assigned a specialist who gave me 3 shots of chemo to end its life because otherwise I would have gotten sick or worse. The doctor held me like a mother would as I cried. Medical care is not abortion. And it is not illegal anywhere to receive this kind of help.
I am truly sorry you went through that. I had a miscarriage, and while it isn't the exact same thing, I can empathize with your situation. Now, I wanted to make a few points because this comment may lead people to believe inaccurate information: 1. Treating an ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion. Salpingostomy and salpingectomy are two laparoscopic surgeries used to treat some ectopic pregnancies. It sounds like your provider may not have understood the law or have been neglegent. 2. An abortion is the intentional killing of an unborn child in the womb 3. Neither Kamala nor Trump have the power to make abortion federally protected anymore, it is a state issue. People are free to travel to other states or move to another state if abortion is that important to you. So the fact that people only voted for her because of her abortion stance, is irrelevant to what she is able to actually accomplish.
@MagnificatForever15 Technical point: she said her tubes were empty. Not all ectopic pregnancies are tubal. So surgical removal of the fallopian tubes wouldn't help.
As a naturalized Chinese American and former US Army service member, I once viewed Trump’s 2016 election as catastrophic. However, in my first presidential election as a US citizen, I chose to vote for him this November. Thank you for representing those who share these views but may not feel comfortable-or even socially safe-expressing them.
Thank you for serving in the armed forces and also thank you for coming through and immigrating the right way. I wish you happiness, peace, and prosperity.
If somebody threatened to end a friendship over how you voted , your better off without them. Plain n simple
Just need to tell them friends they have a new Daddy. His name is Donald Trump!
Problem is that I am related to lots of them and love them. They all have TDS.
Btw a vote for a 3rd party is basically a vote for Trump in my state.
let’s all thank Kamala Harris for all the hard work and effort she put in to convincing America to vote for Trump.
lets all thank Joe Biden for sabotaging KH her entire campaign.
And joe
she looked happy af after he won
I took many deep dives over the past several years to better understand my own heart in these issues and I came out the other side as an independent….who currently leans red…realizing that I haven’t actually changed that much over the past 40 years….but the party has.
thank you for watching the video 🫶🏻
@hriffe1 Hi, thanks for sharing your story! I'm wondering if you've heard of the Walk Away Campaign? It's another RUclips channel full of stories that sound a lot like yours.
Welcome to The RIGHT side!!! you will never look back! as most have said I never left the left, the left left me!!!!
It's only rare from your side.
as a kamala voter, i really really apprecite this video. the reactions of the left are really grating on me and ive found myself drifting into conservative spaces to try and figure out the reason so many voted for trump this year instead of just painting all trump voters as evil. this has helped me understand, which is what i wanted more than anything and has made me feel a lot better about the next four years. the doom and gloom from the left is so hard to escape right now and if you try to point that out or be optimistic the response is....not great. thank you for the informative, respectful video. i honestly think a lot of my views and yours align :) heres to hoping that america gets her footing in the years to come and that we all can be kinder to one another
Hope you’re doing well! There’s many things in common between the Kamala and Trump voter than you actually think! Hope the media you see won’t go back to negativity and let’s all stay strong!
❤❤❤
Respect for learning instead of ‘demonizing’ trump voters
I had a girl I barely know from years ago post an FB status asking for conservative voters to message her and explain why they voted the way they did because she was genuinely curious. We had a fantastic conversation where we both acknowledged the truth: people vote for the party that you think values and prioritizes the things that will best serve you and your family/friends/community. And we can’t be mad at anyone for that. Fascinating conversation.
That’s actually really amazing
an encounter like that is a godsend and give me hope that some people still have common sense.
@@Sledg0matic bro you could have said this in a normal comment, not souring this thread with it.
She is more mature than most.
8 years ago, a female friend asked me if I had voted for Trump. I nodded yes and she kicked me in the shin. This year she voted for Trump. It was well worth the wait
Did you kick her in the shin?
What did you do when she kicked you in the shin?
@@powers6253idk but if that was me she would have lost a arm
She owes you a kick back.
I’m glad she came around, a lot of people did! And I hope youre shins okay 🤣 I bet she feels sorry now but I think it was worth it
I lost my friend I’ve had since high school over this. Literally never even spoke about politics with her and yet she knew I voted for Trump and when she found out he won she blocked me and told me I was garbage. Happy to see that she wasn’t a true friend and I would have sent this to her if she wanted to have an honest conversation.
Your "friend" had no right to call you garbage. If anything she's the garbage one for believing all of Kamala's lies.
I'm happy for you, you dodged a bullet. Just don't let her into your life anymore and you'll have peace
You’re better off without those people in your life
This was very impressive Brett and so very vitally needed. It deserves to reach far and wide, everyone should hear this.
Is the solution the primary responsibility government, family, the church, etc.?
black women democrats hate interracial dating way more that white folks.
I just read this to my wife, and she said, "you go girl!"
Wow what a testimony!! We welcome you to the common sense party. ❤❤
This is beautiful ❤
You rock!
Whenever you are older, leave that demonic state and live somewhere where you will be accepted better.
@genshinsage You sound like a lefty spewing such ideas. Stop the fear mongering please. Stop characterizing whole states as "demonic". Or go join the Dems who talk like you.
love that for u!
"Maybe I'll change your mind, maybe not"
I was a toxic Lib from 2016 to 2022, and the sole person who pulled me back to sanity was Brett.
Love this comment 😊 Thank you for sharing!

Massive respect to you! Glad to see this ❤ take care!
I guess my only concern is what took you so long to figure this out?
@philipwhitcomb5358 c'mon, the programming on the left is *strong*. Be proud that this person was able to see the truth!
You’re incredibly smart! It is so amazing to see such a young woman standing up for her beliefs and not afraid of doing so! If only there were more gen Z people like you, Brett!
I voted for Kamala but this was really nice. No condescension, just honest opinions and trying to remain factual. Thank you for allowing me to see things differently and showing respect to others while you’re at it
Thank you so much for being so open and honest! We'll be alright, you'll see 😊🩷🩷🩷🌸🌸

As a liberal, this is the kind of political content we need to be sharing!
Making fun of or spreading misinformation does not switch people’s votes but this kind of content does. Hope to see more content like this! ❤️
We need more people like you. Regardless of political differences we should all be able to discuss it without ending friendships and losing family.
Agreed.
And thank you for being here! We need more open minded and honest folks like you ❤
I want to be optimistic about Trumps presidency, and I truly don’t believe things will be too bad.

They weren’t your friends to begin with. You’ll find better friends that won’t reject you for your views. Wishing you the best but it sounds like you’ll be just fine.
Stay true to your beliefs, true friends will respect and understand that. God will send the right people your way 😊
Thank you!

It took this video to finally have common sense? Damn that’s sad

not agreeing with the authoritarian left is the most liberal view to have.

Same thing with biological men playing women's and girl's sports - something like 85% of all people think that shouldn't be allowed.
@ I think having trans women in a women’s sport is a double edged sword, like a lot of people say, it could be a disadvantage for biological women but some people can say people are doubting the abilities of a biological woman. I don’t think it is that simple.
They'll accuse you of hate crimes for this opinion even though it should be common sense.
@@StaceyLuvsSnom It is that simple, men have physical advantages over women, period. Most female athletes aren't afraid to admit it, and don't want to compete against men.

You’re ok my friend. We’re all Americans and we accept you over here!

Do people realize just how many things are imported?
tariffs were actually placed in trumps last term and nothing drastic happened. tariffs force US manufacturers to produce and make products in the USA, making competition with foreign goods. if a company in china manufactures their goods in USA then they won’t have tariffs on their goods. it just makes companies work harder in USA rather than than giving china money cus their products are cheap (shein or temu) i might be wrong but this is the gist of it.
no, she may not talk about it and no, people do not realize how many things are imported.
@ very informative! Thank you. And yes, I’m not sure either side has found the right solution to these complicated economic problems.

There's a lot more to learn about the world before calling yourself a Democrat when you're only 18, oh wait . . . Trump won because the Democrats are out of touch. lol
We can always keep learning and developing our opinions! Good luck with your Attorney dream!
Welcome to reality!
Brett, I'm not usually one to comment on these things, but figured I'd give it a shot. I'll go point by point in chronological order, and I hope you can tell me where you think I'm wrong.
1) "You survived the last Trump presidency."
Those of us here did, in fact, survive the last Trump presidency; however, let's not forget that over a million people died from COVID, in large part due to Trump's mishandling of the pandemic.
2) "Just like we survived the Biden presidency even though we barely skated by considering the state of the economy and being on the brink of war."
What policies did Biden implement that threatened your lives?
Brilliant.
3) "We had peace and world leaders respected him."
None of our allies respected him, and we did not have peace.
4) "Impossible to overturn Dobbs."
The overturning of Roe. v Wade occurred because Mitch McConnell blocked Obama from nominating Merrick Garland and then forced Amy Coney Barrett through in the 11th hour.
5) "Access [to abortion] has increased in most states...but you can freely travel."
Deaths due to complications during pregnancy have risen 56% since the abortion ban in Texas. He also literally said, "There has to be some form of punishment."
I'm only 4:30 in and I need to take a break. Will try to continue if I can bring myself to watch any more of this.
aint even american but gdaamn my guy did his homework
Too much text
Finally, someone logical.
Thank you for this. I was 2 mins in and I was already like wtf are you talking about? What bad economy?
@@eloinpugaThat is the reason you voted for Trump...
Articulate, informed, spirited, passionate, & concise on every topic....very impressed with you young lady; new subscriber.
Damn Brett this is probably your most important video you’ve ever made. I love your videos, so don’t take that the wrong way. Amazing spot on
My girlfriend, her mom and mine are all extremely liberal.
I’m just proud that you stood up for yourself.
Sending you so much love and light your way. I’m so sorry that you’re getting attacked like this. And whatever happens, you will be okay. 🥺💛
Bless you for your honesty. You will get through this terrible time and come out on the other side.
That sucks. They are allowed to vote their convictions and share it proudly but if you dare to do the same, you are villainized.
I’m a high school student and a liberal and I admit I was not the happiest with the election results but this made me feel much more calm and accepting of them- I really appreciate your calm and factual stance!
That’s good to hear. ❤
That’s awesome 🤩
Trump should offer her a diplomat position.
The corrupt media.
Interestingly, Trump embodies many things that Christ decried. If you actually read the Bible.
We are so happy you are here. Such a gift!😊❤🇺🇸
Always beware opinions of others. Find your roots in your values. Hear both sides, and agree/disagree as you see fit.
Glad you've awakened, perhaps instead of being "woke". Just beware that both extremes are usually rigid and oppressive.
Donald Trump is an alleged rapist with numerous felonies. But still a better fit I guess.
Go baby Giraffe! 😂 ❤
@ 😂😂😂😂❤️❤️
brett i love you so much!! im so glad i found you, all my friends are left and ive always felt out of place and compromising my views but you made me feel safe and braver to speak my mind!❤ bless you brett❤
If your friends left because of your views, then they were never really your friends, good for you for remaining true to yourself!
Real glad to know I’m not alone
Gave your video a shot. I still strongly disagree on almost every front, but even so congratulations on your win. Enjoy your president, I genuinely hope you get everything you voted for. You have the WH, the Congress AND the SC, so let's see what happens.
I'm at the same wave length as you! I disagree with the points stated but I do enjoy listening to Brett. She helps me understand an opposing view and why others may share it. Congrats on your win Brett, interested in what the future holds.
do you disagree with banning the medical transition of minors?
I also disagree with her points. I dont understand how she is still spreading disinformation.
Google was one of Kamala's biggest donors. They are firmly on the side of "the enemy within".
Especially as leaders.
yes! thank you so much i was looking for a comment like this 100% agree with this
Omg yes I was looking for a comment like this too- i hope Brett response to this!!
Definitely agree with your points. Especially with the whole "other leaders respected Trump and feared us". We had power, but we were the laughing stock to other countries.
Thank you for this!! I 100% agree!
The injecting bleach lie is something you should have googled before sharing. There's a lot of fake things like that in your post.
Trump was already President and nobody lost rights, nor was he a tyrant and democracy didn't end. That pretty much gives you some insight of how his second term will go.
You’re absolutely right. The media has brainwashed people into a 4 year amnesia during his presidency as if it never happened. Wild stuff.
i hope so i didn't vote for him and that's ok what worry's me is project 2025 but its not high on the list of bothersome things.
@sagewolf-lk7qc i wouldn't really worry about that either honestly. Trump said over and over that he doesn't particularly agree with project 2025. He's got his own plans. The media kinda just ignored that tho.
@@catorusmartin5617yeah too bad the people staffing his administration are the same people who made project 2025 😂
And shoplifting returned to being an illegal offense.
Amen, sister!!!! SAME!
Should probably be looking for more sustainable instead of low cost energy solutions…fossil fuels are limited
Keep the faith!!
It's never too late to surround yourself with people who share your views or who don't care about your political stance. And I'm glad you've stayed strong. I wish you all the best
You’re not a disappointment ❤️. Let me throw hands with anyone who says otherwise.
And what was kamala's economic and education plan that You voted for?
As a teacher you should have done some homework.
Your comment is so nice!! It's refreshing to see people actually listening and engaging in conversations rather than arguments.
I'm genuinely interested to know what you don't like about Trump's plans on education? I don't know details and I would like to hear your opinion.

And that's not even half of how bad it was so I mean if they argue with you or if they've told you "don't talk to me" they're not overreactiong.
Bravo!!! 👏🏻👏🏻
Hell yeah. Its hard to be mentally strong but hanf in there
Dang girl lol😂
As someone who has been liberal most of my life and has been also surrounded by Trump supporters I have to say the big issue with me is that none of them have ever communicated their thoughts on him or the vision this way EVER. I definitely appreciate this video. I appreciate the delivery and also the tone. There is much to improve with messaging on this and even though I'm still salty I'm gonna take this and think about the possibilities of our future. This is me doing the research. 😎
good for you brother. honest conversation is all we need at this point.
Thanks for taking the time to watch! We appreciate you!
@ exactly! When I try to engage with the policy everything is a joke about extremes. It seems unserious and non productive.

I’m literally reading them aloud to my husband right now because they’re so inspiring!
I fully agree ❤
I am loving it! The media makes the political landscape so foggy. But when we are pulled out of the dark, it seems we have more in common. And even if we don't, we are still Americans.
I’ve always been a fan of the Comments Section comments section

8 years ago, I told my mom that I was going to have to pray daily for the strength to forgive her for voting Trump.
I’ve voted Trump in the last two elections and my mother has forgiven ME.
God is so good!!
@ isn’t it amazing how God answers the prayers we ought to be praying, instead of the ones we actually do? 🤣
@@beckypitcher That is funny. It was you who needed to be forgiven all along 😆
You had an open heart, that is all God needs 🙏🏻
You voted for a convicted felon and a rapist. I don't understand how people are so dumb lol
Off topic but Brett’s bubble braid is slaying
Not entirely off topic, because a thing of beauty is a joy forever.
I love it too!
God bless America!!! 🇺🇸 🙏🏽
I very much empathize with you and I'm so happy for you!! Thank you for your inspirational comment 💖🇺🇸💖
@ In fact, I hope you will actually feel PRIDE!!!! Because YOU are why there is hope again. 😊❤️🇺🇸
Thanks for making this. As a centrist guy who voted for Kamala, I am glad and hopeful the immigration problem in our country is going to be dealt with. I also do share the right’s beliefs that minors should not be going through gender reassignment surgery (though what do I know 🤷♂️)
Having said all that, I am deeply concerned about Trump’s tariff plans, his plan to deal with the war in Ukraine, and his policies’ effect on climate change and the environment.
Just glad you voted. We HAVE to get back to being able to be different without hating each other.
Yep.. terrible
Yeah… that doesn’t serve her agenda in praising Trump so she simply excluded all this and soooo much more 🤷♀️
Americans don’t know how to read policy and they will be all the worse for it.
You lost nothing. Imagine having an emergency and just seeing their true colors too late.
@@Chomperc1aws i love this! you're so well-spoken
@@Vickzq true!
Hang in there, in my 30s and people still “unfriend” me over politics :/
You are one of my favorite youtubers. You do an amazing job Brett. Thank you
Im a 23 year old woman who also voted for Trump. First time voter, all because you gave me the confidence to go out there and be heard.
❤
11:24 It's illegal in every state for minors to get gender affirming surgery. That's a myth yo
That’s how the teachers are here in Texas too. It’s pathetic.
@@nataliekirschner9020 EXACTLY! It makes no sense!
It’s because they got sucked into the emotional LIES from the dems. Very sad
I'm 40 and I've already been through this once. I have no interest in preserving friendships with people that are so vehemently in hate with Trump. It's annoying and projection.
Only way to keep winning is to keep discussing and keep convincing. If you are true in your beliefs and facts you can convince them.
@@bmark6971 Very optimistic of you to say, and I appreciate your enthusiasm, but that just won't work with some people. They either have to come to their own moment of realization, or continue to live miserable lives until they die.
They are in a cult.
As a fellow ectopic survivor, I’m sending you love. Thank you for sharing your story.
I am truly sorry you went through that. I had a miscarriage, and while it isn't the exact same thing, I can empathize with your situation. Now, I wanted to make a few points because this comment may lead people to believe inaccurate information:
1. Treating an ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion. Salpingostomy and salpingectomy are two laparoscopic surgeries used to treat some ectopic pregnancies. It sounds like your provider may not have understood the law or have been neglegent.
2. An abortion is the intentional killing of an unborn child in the womb
Kamala voter here. I appreciate this informative voter. I turned a bit after the election. You might have locked me into right
As a naturalized Chinese American and former US Army service member, I once viewed Trump’s 2016 election as catastrophic.
