    Just accelerate slowly

Can you explain the logic please. Surely high speed kicking up stones is the issue. How does acceleration specifically kick up more stones? The wheels aren't powered. I would think get airborne as fast as possible and reduce the time for stones to get kicked up would be the best course of action. Genuinely querying.

@@df3yt if you just punch the throttle, the prop can immediately start sucking up stones and sand. If you accelerate slowly with a low power setting, you can get rolling before applying full power and the prop will have less time over anything on the ground so it won’t pick it up as easily. It’s not so much the tires as it is the prop.

@@AV8R_1 Ok - I would have through it was the tyres kicking up the stones not the prop "sucking" up but thanks for the explanation. Taught me something.

AV8R answered correctly. In a video we did at Arizona flying circus, you can see a plane sitting there sucking up sand and dirt into his prop. There is the desire to get off the ground as quickly as possible but a medium acceleration stops the initial kicking up of the sand. When landing not braking is the key or as little as possible.
