How lucky are we to still be able to listen to Def Leppard 40 years later at this caliber, not only the old songs, but new songs THAT ARE AS GOOD AS HYSTERIA, ETC.!!???????? Soooo Good!!
WTF? Leppard, without the genius who was their lyrical mastermind and created timeless riffing, hooks, bends, harmonies and melodies - and on stage live he oozed genuine cool strapped SO low, Steven Maynard "The Riffmaster" Clark - you're saying these new songs stand up against TL4L, BOTH, GOW, HND, Photograph [the definitive concert for Leppard, apart from their German and French gigs in 1983 is the mind blowing "In The Round In Your Face Tour 88/89" Denver, Colorado - and 90% of their early/Pyro/Hysteria era songs? 'Pyromania' and 'Hysteria' are certified Diamond, that is each record has sold 25 million units each, and you reckon these new songs are as good? Mate - you have NO fucking idea. It's great DL are still releasing new material, it really is, and Leppard live sing their own backing vocals, 'The Thunder God' is the only band member that does not sing backing, so yes they bring it 100% - but the band tours/their set list is the gift "The Riffmaster" gave this band, even Viv has said this quote from Viv "90% of the set list is what Steve left us". Add in 'Mutt' Lange and it is simply ABSURD, factually BS to even compare.

I was there, and nothing could be further from the truth, as a motley fan I was dismayed to have a few beers to even listen, just Vince Neil, the rest of the band were great. Def Leppard killed it, I don't want to shoot the messenger, I just think you should question the message of your friends, who obviously were throwing def Leppard under the bus because they want to take them down with motley because that was real disappointment, I know I was!
