Most shocking element of this interview was that his name is Zimmeran and not Zimmerman

I'm Minnesotan like Andrew and grew up near a town called Zimmerman. It took me a really long time to figure out that Andrew's last name is not, in fact, Zimmerman. To add to my Minnesota cred - I saw Andrew Zimmern in person at the Minnesota State Fair when he was filming some sort of segment. It's my only celebrity encounter to this day.

He's mostly famous for a travel show where he was eating weird dishes from all over the world. He collaborated with Anthony Bourdain a couple of times too.

As soon as he said he prays every morning for 29 yrs I knew this man was sober- I love seeing food videos that don’t revolve around alcohol. Thanks for this one!
He is pro-420, though, and has been on a cooking with weed video before. For some people, that would preclude him from being "sober".

This was interesting…. I love watching Food Diaries. I get excited when u feature, older celebrities. I always find them more interesting.
I like to watch these in the mornings on my days off because it gives me a little cooking motivation.
i love how you talk about cutting back on coffee while not doing so, it reminds me of talking to my doctor, about how i am cutting back on eating chocolate, while also not doing any such a thing, in any way :P

I have been watching Andrew since bizarre foods first came on and I have adored him ever since! He just seems like the sweetest guy and I would love to try his food! I wish I could give him a hug and just talk about food all day, and then eat it!
