I buy the key but i don't where to use, please can you tell what room/chamber you use the key to acess the Rat boss ?
The trapdoor to the maze is always in a random Black Powder Mine room. The room with the trapdoor has small rat critters which won't attack you. Then, look on the floor for the trapdoor (it's very well hidden). When you find a trapdoor outline, "dance" on it for a while (walk on it over and over again).
Then, use a regular key to open the hatch.
At the end of the underground railroad, use a blank. Dodge roll into the corridor, walk to the end of it, and use another blank. Use the Gnawed Key to open the large gate.
Fall down the huge rectangular pit in the new floor. Then, follow the directions on the Infuriating Notes (the cheeses are arrows). If you forgot them you can always look in your Ammonomicon. They are randomized for each player so don't look them up. You know you're doing it correctly if you don't encounter any empty rooms. (EDIT: Very rarely, you can encounter empty rooms but still be on the right way. Simply continue to follow the cheese arrows in this case). If you fail to find your way in the maze an elevator to the Hollow will drop down, and you'll have done all that for nothing.
Once you have gotten past all of the extremely dangerous rooms with probably half a heart remaining, gather your pickups and head for the boss room where you'll probably die instantly.

i bet you need to go to the right side after the chamber with chests, cause there are doors locked
To get the Rat transformation you need all four items from his chests. Which means you either have to win the Punchout while finishing two phase of it with supers or you have to get lucky and have the chests be mimics (Lockpicks and Drill work too).

This boss is on a Lich difficulty level, and yet you fight it quite early on. I died on the second phase, and I need to thank you for allowing me to learn the patterns without panicking every picosecond.
It is very hard. I died to him the first time even though I had seen the full fight before.
@@Index154 how many times did it take for you to beat the rat?? And have you finished the punch out phase?? This boss is easily the hardest in the game for me, but you definitely made it look easy :)
I only died to it once. And I think the punchout took me 6 tries or so.
It's really not too long before Lich unless you really try to get to it instead of killing the pasts, you'd probably unlock the gnawed key and Bullet Hell at close to the same time.
The fact that you have to fight him so early on probably makes this the hardest boss in the game. An easier method of dealing with this fight is using rainbow runs to get clone and then taking him your second playthrough. Ive beat every boss in the game but I have never beat him without using a rainbow run.

I am kind of in agreement with you. Tbh, the lich's attack patterns are easier to memorize,
I think the Lich is still harder, just doesn't seem as difficult because you have a lot more floors to get loot.

And I'm sitting here unable to defeat Ammoconda and Beholster, also struggling against Twins.
Actually got to the beholster today and managed to get him down to like 1/3rd. Still I tried to fix the elevator so I had no good guns and half health due to me trying to save up 3 keys and 120 money, until I looked up what's needed to give to Tailor next and stopped bothering. Still had only Magnum and M1 Garant for the fight.
Also I managed to luck out once before and defeated Gorgun, so I guess she's the easiest for me even though I didn't repeated this victory yet (cause I go too far away from her and gaps in her scream patterns close on me)

I think I scared him out of it! I reported under his videos that they were stolen, and when I looked for them again (because I just read the reply) they were gone! Now, I know this makes it seem suspicious, but it doesn’t matter. I did my good deed for the day yesterday, and I’m okay with that.

Man, i was unlucky( or dumb) as hell, certain gun with a face from a certain dark toned chest appeared for me and i was sure that i would be able to beat this rodent, HOWSOEVER i didn't knew about the maze thing, so i ended up on floor 4

Oh, and in metal gear solid, you could break its weapons to make it less crazy. Don’t forget to shoot ratty in the face when the cockpit bugs out and randomly opens! Otacon put in that feature to prevent the pilot from causing NUCLEAR ANNIHILATION!!!

Yep. The cannon fires before the crosshairs attack, the drum clip thing shakes before the Missile barrage, and both of them flash when the bot takes damage.
The developers knew how hard those attacks were, and were like “ in case of salt, shoot here”.
It seems, however, that no streamer is doing this. By pride, or ignorance, it doesn’t matter. GIVE THAT RAT NO QUARTER! (He’s stolen enough already)

Everybody says that he's lich level of difficulty, and yet here i am going to try to kill HIM without even killing all the pasts.
I still have convict's past to kill, but i just hate her so much, i have the robot unlocked but i don't see any caped kins so i didn't unlock the bullet.

He appears again in the room where the dropped items are and tells you about his past before collapsing dramatically. Then you can kick his body around
