great review man, now all i need is the money to buy 2 of these for me and the mrs
@@theturtleproject I think you save money if you buy two. I know that’s no help. 😂
@@ModProjects4306 thats interesting news actually thanks ha
Had my L20 for almost 6 weeks now. 400 miles of riding to work and various other trips.
The only modification i made was the additional battery. I had a previous ebike that was not up to the job and had a 48v 40ah battery which i purchased from Amazon and got the cables and blender. Also put this in a Stanley faxmax toolbox that is attached to the back rack and is bolted in place.
Result is with both batteries can get almost 80 miles. Both batteries have separate chargers and chatge both at the same time when virtually low on charge.
In general, despite the brakes that i agree are not great. The bike is really good and can handle hills with ease.
Also another drawback is the mudguard on the back. As it is short. In wet conditions you will get brown skids on your jacket and clothes. So maybe a slightly longer one would reduce this.
But great bike and glad i have one of these.
@@lenchannon the Stanley Fatmax Toolbox is a great idea … makes it look even more utilitarian.
@@ModProjects4306 it works a treat. Shame you cannot share photos on here as have this as proof it works well.
I got a question can you make it go faster than 30 kmh?
It's a nice-looking bike.
I'm currently running a Colorway BK6S, which I've had about 2 weeks. I'm thinking maybe I should have opted for this as I haven't used the folding capability as much as I thought I would.
I'm a fan of the step through look.
ive recently got the L20 SE and love it
Had my L20 for around 4 months & loving it.
I fitted a new wider comfort saddle & splashed out on a spare 16 amp battery £380.
I'm trying to find a suspension seatpost where I can include the tilt lever. Perhaps someone can help me out on that.
Great review, and I'm fairly glad I that i made a good choice.
Hitway do a suspension seatpost for their BK6S that has the tilt lever. Maybe that could work?
in order or of overall best for urban commuting about 6 miles round trip with moderate hills which would you rank as best between L20 , P20 , engine pro and 275 ST? (don't think the 275 pro automatic gearing is for me ). TIA
@@mellowmiles-r5o L20 or Engine Pro 2.0.
@ thanks so much 🙏
Nice review m8 . Can I ask you what are the best hydraulic brakes I can put on my engine x . And any links where to buy. my next upgrade after that is second battery and blender .
👍
I think I will go for the Engine pro 2.0 instead of this one. Think it's better equiped from the get go, with hydraulic brakes and all...
Hi have you done a review on E26 looking at one of these step over
@@andrewbeaumont8398 only the step through.
@@ModProjects4306 hi would the 250 watt motor be be enough for work just over 2 miles away some hills not bothered about going off road
@@andrewbeaumont8398 certainly would. (It’s not technically 250w😉).
You mean it's little bigger then the 250 would be ok for work and the step through is better
Thanks
I took delivery of mine yesterday. In Green of course..
@@hugostieglitz238 best colour. The L20 Boost I have here is a beautiful colour but I do prefer the L20 green.
I had to order black....green is out of stock in the UK (or for UK delivery) everywhere - even if it shows stock, always the same message after a few days: "sorry, but...: :(
Got my L20 a few weeks ago , very pleased with it , yea brakes are a bit pants, any thoughts on a hydraulic brake conversion for the L20 ?
I'd only bother with a hydraulic brake on the front, as this brake should take by far the greater amount of stopping force required. Put a hydraulic brake on the rear and you'll end up skidding a lot and wearing the tyre out prematurely.
Great review. This bike is the same price as the engwee ep 2 pro . Not sure which 1 to buy. Seems like the L20 is more popular
@@AndysKitchenGarden pro 2 is in a different league. Best bike I own.
@@ModProjects4306 thanks will check your review out
Have you also used the new L20 boosted? im doubting which L20 to get.
@@kevindb47 I’ve been told I’m getting one at some point.
You don't happen to have a discount code for the engine pro 2.0?
@@misteragony there’s one in the description section of the Pro 2.0 review buddy.
