I got one of these two weeks ago from Engwe UK for £949 free shipping. I absolutely love it. Im an old codger with COPD and it's been a godsend. It's a heavy bike, though, not noticeable once you get moving. I've kept it at 15mph for now till I get used to it and the unlocked throttle is a huge help. A 6.5 hour first charge has lasted with daily use even in my hilly town. Its down to 2 bars now so will need to be recharged tomorrow. As I'm not quite old enough for a free bus pass, this is saving me £4 a day, going to the doctors, chemist and supermarket. Despite limited lung function and mobility I've got my independence back! As a former cyclist for over 40 years I definitely recommend this bike. Thanks for the review.

@markcorbett1836 they said delivery within ten days, but mine took only three days from ordering. I think it was sent from their UK warehouse. I had to help the delivery driver lift it off the lorry as it weighed a ton. It's really, really well packed.
How's it now? What's maintenance been? Do you do it yourself? I heard most bike shops won't touch anything not bought in store?
@LJ2K2025 Thanks for asking. Aye, a lot of bike shops seem to be like that. Well, no major issues so far, touch wood. I had to tighten the brake cable a few turns after about a month of almost daily use. The front brake pad will need replacing soon, and the pedals, which are a wee bit lower than most bikes, have taken a bit of a battering. Apart from that, no rust, no flaking paint, no change in the handling or performance. The battery can do a good 30ish very hilly miles (15 out and 15 back) on level 5 assist and still have a bar or two of power left. With only daily trips to the shops, etc, it can be four weeks before a 6.5hr recharge. It really was such a good buy, and I still have to pinch myself at times. I'm not one for recommending anything to others, but in this case, I do. If you want a sturdy, dependable, load carrying work horse of a bike. One that'll get you up hills with ease and look cool doing it. Get the L20. Not the SE, not the LE, not the 2.0, not the Boost. The L20. And get it in WWII looking, avocado green. F*ck, I wish I was sponsored to say all that 😃.
@liammalarky3483 aha thanks for the response, only thing holding me back was the maintenance, I'm not the best at fixing bikes, I just don't wanna pay a lot of money out then be stuck with a bike I can't use if some issue arises especially if I'll need it everyday for work
Best use for the front rack is a massive blue tooth speaker.

We live in Spain. i bought one for my wife. She loves it. I test rode it and was really impressed. As standard in the EU, it comes out of the box restricted to 25kmh and with the throttle disabled (pedal assist only). There are 5 settings for pedal assist. 5 being the highest. What's great about these bikes is the build quality, good components, a really rugged design. And best of all is the torque... a lot of people talk about the Watts. Which is cool. Compared to other bikes in this class, the L20 has superior torque, which really makes a big difference. And of course, you can play with the settings and unlock the throttle and remove the power restriction... then it really comes alive!!
It is a great bike for the money and it comes with bmx handlebars from stock and not the usual tall narrow ones.
I've given up with worry about bike law as its ridiculous, so I'm going to enjoy riding my engwe pro around town and on trips like I did last year!!
Oh I think a camper, Simon a bloke in the woods has that bike he uses for camping, cool.

Ive just been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor and on my current med regime I cannot drive, once my meds have finished in a few weeks I should be fine, but I will need a brain op to remove it and will be unable to drive for at least six months after that, all depends on the recovery.
I have been looking at these bikes with great interest. This is all based on me even being able to have the cognitive abilty to ride a bike .

I used the rack for my rucksack and I biked to my work in the summer time for 10 miles back and forth I would say the battery drops pretty fast after it gets past 2 bars

I like this as it comes with the luggage rack and basket. I'd use it for taking stuff to give out on homeless outreaches, and with my bad back the step through frame would be ideal.

Last week ,the absolute best bike there is silly little thing that is just brilliant is that you can hold the minus button on and it will keep up with you,I have a up hill slope to my shed as it’s usually full of shopping.my old old Eplus lasted 5 years ,got this based on the reviews glad I did Do not think about one get this on NOW you will no regret it.

Great review mate,I have had a similar bike for 8 years ,great for work, post office,groceries,going around the corner to see friends.If you live in the suburbs I strongly recommend,and with the extra rack you can put another battery pack and get a longer range..yep great little bike to use ....so FU energy...hahaha you mean Kung fu...lol😊PS I'm your 13%...do I get a smiley instead..lol

Hi dude I've had a Andy Kirby 2000 watt kit for the best part of 8 months and I was kind of getting used to the power recently got a e-ride pro SS £3500 ish you can't go wrong Out The Box it is faster than the competitors for example surron electric bike I had heard nothing but great reviews of the e-ride pro SS so I thought I might treat my self and I'm not disappointed worth looking into PS love the channel❤

Don't keep this bike out in the cold my display panel fucked up last October and it was not even that cold and if u are over 6ft tall don't put the seat post up high cos it will bend back and you will find it hard to get the battery out. Other than that good bike

You have to buy separately instead of buying one bike equipped with one or the other so a bit of range anxiety but locally it would be ideal 25 miph an hour 500 w

Got this, put up 600 miles on it. Proper bike. Fast, steep hills a breeze. I commute about 10km each way. 30 min in peak traffic 👍🏼

Beats the Cyrusher Rumble hands down. The Rumble is one of the worst e-bikes for the money at just north of £1,300
It says it's 250w but if you look at the images it says 750w. It's clearly above 250w! Even manufacturers know the laws are pathetic so they've said it's 250w just to slip threw the net.

I have this bike. It's exciting as hell. Love it. Had it 12m.
Few niggle issues. Needed a new Throttle. The gears out the box were miss aligned and I have to redo the breaks every few days but I don't care.... Why? Because it's such a joy to ride. It's a bad ass bike.

Indeed, any 250w will go faster than 15mph with any 48v battery except you don't mention the motor will overheat and may melt ... 😅

Just started watching the video this bike is definitely not 250 W, they have another bike called the L 20 boost which restricted goes the legal limit, unrestricted goes to around 20 miles an hour this is their legal L 20. It has a little boost button that gives you a lot more speed ,I’m sure you seen the reviews. It’s a lot more expensive than this bike. They look identical. I would go with the L 20 not the boot version cause technically they’re both illegal but who gives a shit about that? They’re not E motorbikes., I think you’re much less likely to get pulled on a step through that looks like this then a fatt E bike that looks a bit like a tank by the way most people think this bike is at least 500 W unrestricted of course but with the average copper know the difference or care you’ll always get a job worth if you can press a few buttons so I can they so you’re your taking your chances anyway, but it would have to be absolute jobs worth copper to pull you over on one of these if you’re writing sensibly but I think there are a few job worth copper is about you think they do something about actual crime and not people riding E bikes not E motorcycles anyway just started the review this channel has excellent reviews so yeah thinking about buying one halfway through a DIY build stuck on a headset older road bike
