WEAR TEST NOTE:
Listen… I was QUITE dewy by the end of the day (probably from the 17 moisturizing products i applied hahah). Not even the matte Milk Setting spray could’ve solved it lol. I LOVED the sparkle of the eyeshadow, I officially despise the “tubing” mascara, and I can’t wait to wear the complexion products without so much moisture underneath!! I’ll have to keep testing everything to see what’s a “winner” in my book. Overall, I had fun trying everything! :)

If an mascara doesn't work on Allie's eyelashes... even if it smears, smudges and flakes...you know it's a really bad mascara. How it got to be an Allure's best is beyond me.

The mascara dry shampoo is a very cool idea. I usually wanna add more in the afternoon, and full on mascara makes it weird. It also made your lashes look awayyyyy better! That Blinc one is not it!
Agreed!! I was surprised that the MAC refresher did something. Proof it does!
I would love if allure did top skin care products WITH NO FRAGRANCE. Us sensitive skin babes can’t use parfum, fragrance, or citric acid and most of the skin products mentioned have those. 😢
Yeah, that’s why I stick to using CeraVe and Cetaphil.
The mascara dry shampoo really lifted your eyelashes. The eyeshadow palette is gorgeous. And the liquid eye shadow was also gorgeous! Thank you so much for bringing these products to us. I don't have a high-end budget, so I dont get to use them as much. I'm definitely a drugstore beauty and makeup kind of gal, and that's fine, because at 59, I think my skin wouldn't know how to react to lux products.
I have tried the Blinc mascara, and I didn't like it at all. It dropped little balls on my cheeks as the day wore on. So I can't believe it was a winner because it didn't work for you either. You looked beautiful today as always 💕
Real talk, the mascara dry shampoo made your lashes look way better. I’m impressed to the point of considering purchasing a tube.

Take these lists as a grain is salt in regards to what is “best”. A lot of things on these list are often times negotiated with brands or biased towards brands that send out PR or gifts to publications . Harder for newer or smaller brands to get on sometimes .
You can tell when Allie is loving her makeup when she starts "OoooOoooo" "Oh wow" if you know you know. She is so cute.

I was obsessed with Blinc mascara before I had even heard of Thrive. It gets better the more you use it/the more it dries out in the tube.
hey Allie, I love your Allure best of beauty series! I have seen so many reviews of Florasis products, you should check out their lipsticks, they are such a beautiful ornament, it would feel like a crime to use them lol! Their other eyeshadow palettes are also very beautiful and pigmented. How about you try a full face of Florasis? I've seen a couple of people do it and they were not disappointed!
Do you think the companies pay allure to make the list? There are a few products on the list that could be better. The Maybelline 3-pan stack thing blends terribly. horrible product and made the list??
It's based on PR and ad revenue.
I’ve tried that mascara before and I didn’t like it either. It’s a no for me. I think when you put that dry shampoo on top made a difference. I think the Thrive Causemetics mascara should have won instead of that one. I am so excited for Saturday to see what you are going to show us. I am counting the days, so exciting.
No offense but I could create this look in a natural way with 4 products. Things are so expensive these days and if I can get away less with same effect, then why not.

Do you think they're kinda "fixed" because you pulled out that milky moisturizer (I nearly bought and am still contemplating) 3:54 right at saying you got it in PR right before the list was published and there's been rumbling about the winners being a bit more paid for than earned via voters. The refresher dry shampoo really helped that weak mascara. They looked 100% better after you applied it. Loved all the blush and blush and blush ☺️ That eye shadow palette, WOW, it’s gorgeous. Fun video. Use that colored mascara again in a video. We used to use midnight blue mascara back in my day, I so wish they would make that again.

I’m lame. I still just use my towel to twist into my hair. That’s how I felt about the Milani tubing mascara. It never dried on my lashes. And like you, I have longer lashes so I love to try out mascaras.
Florasis has a very wishy washy statement on testing on animals so that you should know the products are made in China.. From their website "The safety of our consumers is our highest priority. Florasis is encouraging the use of alternatives and the elimination of such animal testing. We are the advocates and doers of banning animal tests on cosmetics and Unless required by law, we do not test any products on animals." In other words, Florasis allows its products to be tested on animals when required by law.
Allure is not awards these are ads that companies buy.
The original Blinc mascara is one I’ve worn for many years and is the only mascara that doesn’t flake or smear on me. I try other ones and they just don’t stay put.
Blinc was the original tubing mascara. It's been around for years

Omg the SatinAllure Lipstick is my FAVORITE bulket lipstick!!! I wear it to every wedding I attend! So gorgeous and longwearing! And it wears away so smoothly!
Florasis products are sooo beautiful. I have a few and do not want to “ruin” them so I have yet to use them. lol
Guerlain foundations are my absolute favourites! 🥰 Terracotta le teint during the day, l’essentiel for slightly more coverage and Parure Gold for special occasions, they’re bombproof (on my skin at least!)

Girl!! Major opportunity lost…as soon as you mentioned you wanted to use that Glossier brush, but already applied your foundation, I started screaming at the screen: use it to apply your cream blush or bronzer with it! It is great for that! Future possibility?? 😂😂😂

It’s weird…that the Blinc mascara won, I got mine like 2 months or so ago from Boxycharm, used it then and saw it won and pulled it back out and it is still really wet, nuts!! And I don’t like it as much as the thrive mascara.. that is a weird win!! Lol love your content!!❤
I didn’t like that Blinc mascara either. Can’t believe it won! The Tarte tubing mascara is WAY BETTER!!!

I've used both Thrive and blinc and thrive is definitely better. Even taking it off is better with Thrive. I use the blinc now though because i ran out of my Thrive. It's good for if i just need some mascara to run some errands and want to be able to take it off easier than normal mascara in a few hours. But you can't add more to it later if you need a touch up, it'll look atrocious. Have to take it off and start all over.

I use the Blinc tubing in brown and I don't find it THAT bad, though it isn't my favorite...I wanted a brown tubing mascara, and they are hard to find. Any other options out there?
Hourglass unlocked is my favorite "tubing" mascara. It's a drier formula.
That rich cream did nothing for my dry skin. 🤷♀️ Like it felt amazing, but didn’t get rid of my dry flakes in winter.

I got wavy hair after I have my daughter too. At first I thought wow this perm is just never dying. But the last part I had was in high school and I have my daughter when I was almost 24 and had short hair. Thinking now, there's no way that was due to any old perm. Because when it was short it was straight. I wish it was more wavy but it's kind of straight in some areas and wavy and others and it's not that cute actually. The only cool part about it is I look like I have a lot more hair than I used to. To be true, I do still have a lot of hair even after menopause and losing about a third of it it's still really thick. That towel you showed at the very beginning, my hair is so long right now that I think I need one of those. I have two or three of those as well and they're not long enough for me anymore. I have never measured my hair but it must be getting close to 20 inches now.
That Blink mascara has been around for probably 15-20 years at least. I think it was the first tubing mascara. I haven't used it in about that long but i thought I had liked it back then.

I love the Bumble and Bumble Primer Oil. It smells good too!
Oh my goodness. My favorite product shown, with the biggest impact, was the MAC Lash Dry Shampoo... I haven't used it. But it made a major difference in how your eyelashes looked.

Blinc is very wet and you need to let it dry, then can add a second coat after it dries. You do need to curl lashes first. I prefer Blinc Amplified (volumizing) over the regular formula. I have very oily eyes and used it for years before discovering L'Oreal Double Extend tubing mascara, which also has a fiber volumizing layer too. It far outperforms Blinc, imo, and is half the price. I can't use ANY other mascaras, they ALL smudge on me. Other tubing formulas also smudge, including Tartlette, Caliray, and Wet n Wild tubing. So I bet that's why Blinc won... truly one of the only long lasting tubing mascaras that is considered high end and doesn't smudge. But for those like me, try L'Oreal instead!

I’m surprised the Blinc mascara win an award. It was a big fail for me awhile back and I returned it.
Florasis has BEAUTIFUL products that are amazing quality and performance as well.
The Blinc mascara has been around FOREVER and they’re still trying to convince people to buy it. It’s absolutely terrible on my short sparse lashes.
I like blinc mascara. It’s just not convenient to buy. There’s a couple different formulas.

I bought that “Blinc” mascara, too. I ended up throwing it out and going back to my Tower 28 and YSL. Great video.
For tubular mascara you can’t beat Trish McEvoy and Thrive is my new favorite. I always get compliments on my lashes when I’m wearing the Thrive.
