By the way, don't take the intro too seriously, i just thought it'd be a funny way to start the video, i have no problem with anyone who may just wants to help.
That said don't expect a lot of voiced stuff, for 1 it's way harder for me than it looks like, 2 it's probably hard to take me seriously with that voice accent and audio quality.

Oil slider actually has a technique I've never seen anyone talk about. If you time a shot against a wall while you're in midair, then jump off the oil, you can essentially wall jump like in Mega Man X, except it's brutally difficult. My friend made a level which explored everything Oil Slider can do and I think it needs more recognition

If you ask me, flash bomb should be higher. It does more overall damage, uses less ammo, and can have 2 bombs on screen. It's just an objective upgrade to the crash bomber.

i've never played mega man maker because i can't afford a computer but they must've fucked up silver tomahawk for you to put it where you did, that thing one shot everything outside of bosses and mini bosses in mm6.

Flame shot is like my favorite weapon in MM6, it has the same amount of power as the Cement shot from 9 and DPS is crazy.

Bro, Water Wave is a monster of a weapon lol. It does decent damage, it gives your attacks verticality, it extinguishes fires and cleanses poison, and it turns into a giant shotgun underwater
And the Ballade Cracker you mentioned also has armor penetrating properties which makes it better than it looks

Silver Tomahawk and Flame Blast are better than you give them credit for. Their trajectory is quite odd, but they make up for it by actually doing pretty decent damage.
Flame Blast is PK Fire on Steriods
Same with Air Shooter. If you can get all three to land, it devastates the target. I always used it on armored joes in MM2
fantastic video, while i may not agree on your tier list, i like your editing style and it was entertaining. extremely useful that you highlighted *and* demonstrated all these weapon interactions unique to mega man maker. thanks chief, will be revisiting this video to take notes for my level projects.
With the Pile Driver breaking Cracked Blocks, I had asked WreckingPrograms if he could make other assets such as Big Eyes destroy them too but he said it was too late for that :/ I guess it's a thing the dev team thought for 1.6, "Hey this would be a cool feature for all these assets we're about to add."
Otherwise cool video. I agree with most rankings, it's nice how many weapons are pretty well balanced.

Mega Man was a game that was so simple and yet so ahead of its time. It defined an entire genre and continues to be considered one of the best titles in video gaming history. But, does its spin-off sequel, Mega Man X fair so well?

Flame Burst and Air Shooter are just amazing in a specific situation: shredding minibosses. Spam as many Squidons and Tamas as you fucking please, because spamming those two in close quarters essentially deletes enemies.

This was really fun to watch. I don't agree with many of the placements but I definitely see where you're coming from with all of them.
I think the air shooter and blizzard attack are kind of underrated both for the same reasons: they both fire upwards and they can deal ridiculous damage at close range (although that's much harder to do with the blizzard attack). At least in my experience, both weapons have constistently been able to relatively quickly take out swarms of weak enemies and decimate larger, bulkier ones.
Another thing I think is a little underrated is the water wave. Mainly because of the amount of waves it shoots. Having 3 waves lets you hit enemies lots of times really fast. In my experience, it's very easy to get up close to an enemy that has a lot of health like big eye and spam it down before it gets a chance to really do anything. It's s bit less useful for swarms of weak enemies but I still think it comes in handy for those because again, lots of projectiles real fast.
For a few I think are bit overrated, there's the black hole bomb, flash bomb, and commando bomb.
While the black hole bomb sucking in projectiles is nice, I never found much use out of that because it just couldn't kill the enemies shooting me and has too little ammo to be spammable. It also lingers for a very long time after activating, which wouldn't be bad if it weren't for the low ammo making it so I can't just keep switching back and forth to spam it.
The flash bomb has similar issues to me. Lingers for too long and just doesn't deal very much damage. Simply shooting point-blank with the mega buster over and over usually works better for me.
The commando bomb also has limited ammo, but honestly I just suck at using it. It's always been really tricky to aim it right and blow it up at the right time for me which makes it a bit less useful than the buster in my eyes.
There's like 1 use for item 3 and it's for crossing spike pits by jumping on it while it moves.

Nice tier list, my only hang up is you put Atomic Fire in A but honestly I’ve never used the weapon that much. From what I remember it was not that great in MM2, I believe it took longer to charge.

With Mega Bal if you use 1 mega ball then while in mid jump use another ball and you will jump higher, you can do this as many times as your m.ball weapon energy

I agree with some rankings, disagree with some rankings, but I enjoyed this video overall regardless.
Crystal eye is OP, if you shoot it against a wall, you can spam the bouncy balls.

I personally disagree with flame blast. The way you used it in the clip demonstrated doesn't really show the flaw of the weapon. Because the damage makes up for the awkward arc of the weapon. Because it's basically a charge buster just with low range. Just position yourself closer or switch to a different weapon. I don't know personally I think it's miles above needle cannon. But hey we all have opinions, it's just that it wasn't explained well for why it's bad. What I can say is that needle cannon sucks pokeballz

It's a good list, but you didn't give a proper explanation to the tier placement of some weapons (Air Shooter, Wind Storm, Silver Tomahawk, Blizzard Attack), and also, you said Jewel Satellite is the best shield but you still put it below Leaf Shield... I didn't understand that.
For some weapons i really didn't know what to say, and just hoped that the gameplay would speak for me (not that i think it actually did) and i also figured i'd smooth the videos pacing
What i meant with jewel satellite was that it's the best "shield" as it's better for overall protection. Leaf shield is a better weapon for how insanly powerfull it is, but it doesn't "shield" the player as good as jewel does.

Mega Man Maker made some weapons insane. Compare Dive Missile and Leaf Shield to their original counterparts.
Air Shooter is a beast in Mega Man Maker, imo. Unlike in Mega Man 2, you can spam it and it can shred through mini bosses quickly in that way. And it uses 1 energy as appose to 2 energy. It has a lot of the stuff that made me love Triple Blade.

Good video, but I think I prefer the text, or at least a combination of text and audio. When I am busy or want to watch with the audio off for whatever reason, I have to rely on the ugly, inaccurate auto generated subtitles.

okay i'm infuriated at how you just let silver tomahawk go into E tier just because it's not silver
it's a fairly decent buster alternative that works very well on aerial enemies
The silver thing was for the funny. The actual reason is that i myself am not a fan awkward arcs, specially on aerials.
Usually aerial enemies are weak and tiny, so the concept of a strong anti-aerial that you have to somewhat aim seems unpractial for me, air shooter is in most situations better and that one also ended up pretty low.
This is all just my opinion, you can totally like silver tomahawk, but had i gone into this much detail with every weapon the video would be like 4 hours long.

I found this video in my recommended and it was kinda fun. But I have 1.7 so I might as well address the weapons in there as well as the weapons mentioned here.
The ground rules are that the set up is this:
Weapon Name (The name of the weapon):
Description (Mainly my thoughts on the weapon):
Tier Placement (Ranging from S to F):
Another thing is that I'm not counting the rush weapons or anything like that. I'm just counting the weapons that come from robot masters or are the characters buster or in Roll's case, broom.
Oh, and this is MY OPINIION so don't doxx me for putting idk Time Stop as B instead of C or A.
Anyway let's get right too it.
Busters/Default Weapons:
Yes I'm making a separate category for the unique defaults shut up. This are the four
Weapon Name: Mega Buster
Description: Just an all around ok weapon. This is the standard weapon the Blue Bomber gets as his first ever weapon in the series and its perfectly passable.
Tier Placement: C Tier
Weapon Name: Proto Buster
Description: It's Megamans weapon, but with Proto Strike. It's way more overpowered with this gimmick. Proto Man also has double damage. Making an easy top tier.
Tier Placement: S Tier
Weapon Name: Bass Buster
Description: The Mega Buster but it can shoot 6 bullets at once in all 8 directions. It's kind of a rapid-fire weapon but it does worse damage. So yeah kind of a slightly better buster.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Roll Swing
Description: This was an interesting weapon to give to Roll. It also essentially made a swordfighting character and I think thats kinda cool.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Megaman 1:
OK now we are on the weapons acquired from Robot Masters. There are only six in the original, but Powered Up added two more robots bringing it up to eight. This was when the series began too, so yeah let's get started.
Weapon Name: Rolling Cutter
Description: It's the first unlockable weapon. It kills Spines, and its cousins (Garyoby, Cyber Gabyoall etc) and it follows you until it comes back completely. Overall, it's pretty nice.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Super Arm
Description: This used to be the most useless weapon in the original Megaman 1, but it was buffed significant by spawning a stone for you to throw at enemies. It can damage you but atleast it can we used much more often.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Ice Slasher
Description: This is a very good weapon. It can freeze a ton of enemies and you can kill them with your Buster very easily. Plus you can exploit spawners with it by using it when enemies reach the ground at the right time and kill them afterwards. Just a very good weapon all around.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Thunder Beam
Description: This weapon is slightly weaker than it originally was but it still is a very good weapon in my opinion.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Fire Storm
Description: This is a great weapon all around. It gives you a shield, and it also releases a flame shot as well. A great protection weapon, and a great offensive weapon
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Hyper Bomb
Description: The weapon I never understood why it was hated so much.. I mean the startup time could be a bit better but it has great range and great damage output. While it isn't amazing it is still very good. That startup time could be a bit better though.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Time Slow
Description: After four A Tiers we come along another decent weapon. While you can destroy enemies with your buster it can't stop time. It's a lot better than Time Stopper, but not as good as Flash Stopper.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Oil Slider
Description: It's just funny that you could make a Mario Kart themed level out of this (until moving elevator was added but it's still possible). Not much to say it's a good and fun weapon to use so yeah.

Megaman 2:
This is the first game where there are 8 robots normally which is what the series went with for the rest of the series. The last game had a lot of good weapons so let's get started with this game.
Weapon Name: Bubble Lead
Description: It's a weapon that can't go up walls, but can go down walls and can hop a bit before traveling across the ground. It's just a worse Search Snake. They are almost identical.
Tier Placement: C Tier
Weapon Name: Air Shooter
Description: Slightly situational but can kill a few enemies. Overall kinda solid.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Quick Boomerang
Description: This has the highest ammo out of any weapon in the series and it does the same damage as your buster. So yeah kind of a good weapon. But it has less range which prevents it from being any higher.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Leaf Sheild
Description: This weapon makes you invincible let's be real.
Tier Placement: S Tier
Weapon Name: Crash Bomber
Description: This weapon can only shoot 8 times, but it kills and area of enemies to make up for it. Plus it can be good for puzzles so really it's kind of a good mix.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Time Stopper
Description: It's exactly the same as it's original counterpart. It's original counterpart sucks too so yeah.
Tier Placement: D Tier
Weapon Name: Metal Blade
Description: Also the same as it's original counterpart but its a good thing since it's original counterpart was pretty good.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Atomic Fire
Description: This weapon is an energy hog. The Charge takes forever and while it can do some damage, it also takes over a third of your ammo. Just not the best weapon honestly.
Tier Placement: D Tier
Megaman 3:
This is not very special in comparison to the other games. It's still cool but not very unique. But let's get started.
Weapon Name: Spark Shot
Description: This was buffed so that the enemies can no longer be replaced. It still is terrible but at least something got improved other than the damage actually existing. Still a really bad weapon though
Tier Placement: E Tier
Weapon Name: Search Snake
Description: Bubble Lead but it can acutally climb on walls. And thus it's better.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Needle Cannon
Description: Coming from one of my favorite robot masters this weapon is decent. It's a rapid-fire weapon that sticks to enemies. Kinda complex but still fun. Oh and it has a very high ammo count.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Top Spin
Description: I never thought this weapon looked cool, but it is. You can use it after its ammo runs out and it can make for a more platformer type level. Pretty great overall.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Shadow Blade
Description: It's a good. Just a different version of the Rolling Cutter.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Magnet Missile
Description: This is a better anti-air than Air Shooter. You can only launch up to two, but it can take out any enemy above it. A very practical weapon overall.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Gemini Laser
Description: Oh, I love this weapon. It's a weapon that bounces off walls and ceilings. It's kind of a spectacle to see it bounces around and it's a really fun weapon.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Hard Knuckle
Description: This weapon is a weird one. It bounces of enemies and projectiles. While it sounds odd it still is a fun weapon to use. Just not as fun as Gemini Laser.
Tier Placement: B Tier
(2/3) Megaman 4:
This is my personal favorite Megaman game. With my favorite robot master of all time too (its Drill Man btw). Let's see the weapons.
Weapon Name: Ring Boomerang
Description: This weapon not only deals decent damage, but it also grabs items. That use alone puts it very high on my usage list. But it can only go one direction. And it can't grab tanks. Because screw you.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Dive Missle
Description: This is a homing Missile. It's simple but really damn good. Though there isn't much to say on it.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Skull Barrier
Description: You can walk on spikes now.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Flash Stopper
Description: A better version of Time Stopper because it's more than one use, and you can kill enemies while using it. It's just good. This is Time Stopper 2.0
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Dust Crusher
Description: It's good for area control, but there are better weapons for that purpose. Still good though.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Drill Bomb
Description: Drill Man is awesome and his weapon is another reason why, with area damage. Plus it does great damage. It does the same damage as Rain Flush which is a screen nuke. A great weapon that encapsulates the fantastic robot master that uses it.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Rain Flush
Description: It's a screen nuke.
Tier Placement: S Tier
Weapon Name: Pharoah Shot
Description: It doesn't do great damage but it's pretty interesting nonetheless. It's kinda good tbh.

Megaman 5:
Overall this is notorious for having the worst weapon lineup in the series. Hope that doesn't translate to here. Let's see.
Weapon Name: Power Stone
Description: This weapon used to be garbage but it's kinda great now ngl. Though it should go left when you face left.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Gravity Hold
Description: It's a screen nuke.
Tier Placement: S Tier
Weapon Name: Napalm Bomb
Description: Really disappointing coming from one of my top 5 robot masters. It's just a really bad weapon that has next to no practical use other than being a worse Bubble Lead. But at least it does good damage.
Tier Placement: E Tier
Weapon Name: Gyro Attack
Description: It's a weapon that can go up and down. It's decent I guess.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Crystal Eye
Description: Probably the best weapon. It has several use cases and its just fun to use.

Weapon Name: Star Crash
Description: Rather disappointing but at least it can let you hi jump so that's fun. Still not very good.
Tier Placement: D Tier
Weapon Name: Water Wave
Description: Just why? It is not the worst but why? That is my main question with this weapon. WHY?!

Weapon Name: Charge Kick
Description: All it needed was an air dash. If it had it's double jump it would've been S Tier to be honest with you.

Megaman 6:
I don't even know what to say at this point except that Brazil is Canon in this universe. But seriously though this is the most unique out of the games. Let's see if that paid off.
Weapon Name: Blizzard Attack
Description: I feel mixed on this weapon. On one hand it does deal ok area coverage and its fun to use, but on the other hand you can get killed using this weapon in the wrong scenario. So I'm just gonna put in in the middle.
Tier Placement: C Tier
Weapon Name: Wind Storm
Description: This weapon does a small amount of damage, but also propels you upward. The enemies can't drop items still, but it can help for wiping out enemies and getting you higher. I never really loved using it but it isn't hat bad either.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Flame Blast
Description: Gather around the quite literal fire because oh boy I I have something to say about this weapon. The range is genuinely pathetic and it can't kill any enemy like 3 tiles away. And it drops in an arc so good luck killing an aerial enemy. Best of all you can only use it 16 times. For perspective Quick Boomerang has the same range and it takes over 200 uses to deplete it. This is the worst weapon in megaman 6 going to Megamaker by far.
Tier Placement: F Tier
Weapon Name: Silver Tomahawk
Description: As a breath of fresh air Silver Tomahawk only has one issue similar to Flame Blast. That being it's bad range. Even then this is way better because it can kill, enemies in the air easier. Not that this weapon is perfect, just that it's a decent option to kill flying enemies.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Knight Crusher
Description: This weapon is amazing. It can destroy air, and grou d very easily. The only thing keeping it out of S is because it's range is similar to Rolling Cutter. Even then. Amazing.

Weapon Name: Yamato Spear
Description: Just the Mega Buster with a slight angle. It's low ammo count keeps it from being too great though. Still interesting nonetheless.

Weapon Name: Plant Barrier
Description: Similar thing to Blizzard Attack but this time it's because projectiles give you health. And Its a barrier (if the name didn't make that clear).
Tier Placement: C Tier
Weapon Name: Centaur Flash
Description: Let's be honest this weapon is perfect. Not only does it deal some damage but at the same time makes you invincible, and stops time. This is the best time weapon in the series by far and I'm sure you can beat so many levels with just this.
Tier Placement: S Tier

This is the first game without all 8 robot master weapons. It only has 4. But does that translate into quality? Lets see
Weapon Name: Wild Coil
Description: A slightly better Flame Blast but still garbage.
Tier Placement: E Tier
Weapon Name: Noise Crush
Description: It bounces off walls until it hits you and it becomes a stronger weapon that doesn't bounce. It's good but if it worked a bit more like Gemini Laser it would be better.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Danger Wrap
Description: I'm gonna be real with you and say that i despise Burst Man. But his weapon is fine I guess. It can kill enemies in an area, and it goes upward in an arc which is good, but then again it's kinda slow so that just makes it less good.
Tier Placement: C Tier
Weapon Name: Freeze Cracker
Description: This weapon freezes enemies which is cool, but when it hits a wall it releases 6 snowflakes in different directions. That's kinda great and makes it better than Noise Crush.

Megaman 8:
Kind of the same thing as Megaman 7 but it gets a weapon because of Mega Ball alone. With that being said let's get through this one and see if it's that great.
Weapon Name: Mega Ball
Description: This is just soccer. It's a fine weapon in all seriousness. It can also bounce off walls so thats neat.
Tier Placement: C Tier
Weapon Name: Tornado Hold
Description: This weapon is very good. It does good damage, and it propels you a nice distance upward. A very good weapon overall.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Flash Bomb
Description: This is one of if not the best bomb in the series before Black Hole Bomb. Even then its one if the best. It's lingering damage is just stellar.

Weapon Name: Thunder Claw
Description: Being Tarzan is fun but that's really all that it let's you do that you Buster can't but it's a good weapon nonetheless because it has nice range for a close ranged move, and it also does ok damage.

Description: It's ok. Just a weaker Roll Swing tbh.

Megaman 9:
This is another very experimental game, and spoiler alert, it paid off. Plug Ball was the least good weapon and even then it isn't awful. And the weapons are pretty good. Lets,look at examples.
Weapon Name: Concrete Shot
Description: You wanna make platforms and kill enemies. Concrete Shot is perfect for this. It can freeze up even instant kills. The enemies can't drop items when you kill them but for a balancing perspective that's perfect. This is a fantastic weapon.

Weapon Name: Jewel Satelite
Description: I dont think I need to even say anything here.
Tier Placement: S Tier
Weapon Name: Hornet Chaser
Description: This weapon gives you items and homes in on enemies. That alone is amazing, and they just look adorable.

Weapon Name: Laser Trident
Description: This is the least good Megaman 9 weapon in this game but it's still good. It can pierce enemies pretty easily and it does decent damage. It's a good weapon

Weapon Name: Magma Bazooka
Description: This does good area coverage, and it does great damage when fully charged. It also has good ammo. 32 is a lot for this weapon.

Weapon Name: Black Hole Bomb
Description: I don't think I need to explain this one either.

Description: It's a screen nuke.

Megaman 10:
Another unique game. This time it's because it has 3 other bosses that give you weapons which I will be counting bringing the weapon count up from 6 to 9 (lol funny number). It also has some odd weapons. Let's see some.
Weapon Name: Triple Blade
Description: This is a both better and worse version of Magma Bazooka. It goes down when your airborne and vice versa for when you on the ground. One one hand it doesn't deal as much damage, but it also does better area control. So it's kind of the same on a quality spectrum when you mix these.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Solar Blaze
Description: This launches two fire waves in two different horizontal directions. It does good damage and can take out a wave of enemies. It's just really good.
Tier Placement: A Tier
Weapon Name: Thunder Wool
Description: This had the biggest buff of any weapon in the game. It doesn't commit suicide to spite you anymore. It now survives when that happens, and it does damage in a larger area. It still takes a millenia to do anything so yeah not the best but still a huge improvement.
Tier Placement: B Tier
Weapon Name: Commando Bomb
Description: It's a Dive Missle with less directions, but it can be in your control. Plus it releases shockwaves when it hits a surface too and now it is just overpowered. Not complaining btw this is what Commando Man deserves because he's awesome.
Tier Placement: S Tier
Weapon Name: Water Shield
Description: This weapon gets a lot of crap but its fine. It's ood but ok. You can launch the 8 bubbles in a swirling direction but they can only take one hit. It's unique and I don't think it deserves such hate.

Weapon Name: Wheel Cutter
Description: You can climb walls with this, but other than that not the most interesting but for that alone it's pretty damn versatile. There is so much potential with the wall climbing.

Weapon Name: Mirror Buster
Description: This weapon kinda sucks. It only even reflects straight forward and I guess it can pierce but it still doesn't help much and it can only reflect one projectile at a time.

Weapon Name: Screw Crusher
Description: So Punk is cool I guess. Punk also has a good weapon. Punk also has a weapon where it goes up in an arc and falls into the ground again. Its good.

Description: This is just a cooler Crash Bomb that's better.

Megaman 11:
Finally. The most recent game. I am just gonna get to it with this one. Let's go.
Weapon Name: Block Dropper
Description: It has good area control and does good damage. It can also be used as an anti-air too though it's a lot let's conventional.

Weapon Name: Bounce Ball
Description: Bouncy. It shoots 3 balls and the bounce around. It is really fun and I love it a lot.

Weapon Name: Pile Driver
Description: This weapon not only breaks shields but can also screw over some projectiles and it can even propel you up a bit. This weapon is amazing.
Tier Placement: S Tier
Weapon Name: Scramble Thunder
Description: Finally. The FINAL weapon after 2 to 3 days of writing this and good lord I'm glad we're ending on a high note. The weapon is good as an offensive weapon and it deals good damage to boot. Pretty great weapon overall.

NO this is NOT an opinion you are straight up wrong about buffed super arm. It places the blocks on the ground and they stack and they don't despawn when you switch weapons so they are OP for cheesing bosses and platforming sections.
Honestly I still don't really think it's exactly higher than B, but that is a good point. Also, since I'm not presenting my opinion as fact, it IS an opinion.
what's the actual difference between 5 and 6 mega busters? I thought they were the exact same.
5 is the biggest, it's very very close to 6's but in practice 5's buster seem to hit way more stuff
