My Personal Opinion about Every Megaman X - X8 Weapons: X1: Storm Tornado(Best), Homing Torpedo, Chameleon Sting, Boomerang Cutter, and Fire Wave X2: Speed Burner(Best), Magnet Mine, Strike Chain, Spin Wheel, and Bubble Splash X3: Triad Thunder(Best), Tornado Fang, Gravity Well, Ray Splasher, and Spinning Blade X4(X): Frost Tower(Best), Rising Fire(Best), Double Cyclone(Best), Soul Body, and Twin Slasher X4(Zero): Ryuenjin(Best), Rakuhouha(Best), Kuuenzan(Best), Kuuenzan, Shipuuga, and Raijingeki X5(X): C-Shot(Best), Tri Thunder, Wing Spiral, Spike Ball, and Dark Hold X5(Zero): Sougenmu(BEST), Messenkou(Best), Danchien, Denjin, and Dark Hold X6(X): Guard Shell(Best), Metal Anchor, Yammar Option, Magma Blade, and Ray Arrow X6(Zero): Guard Shell(Best), Rekkouha(Best), Sentsuizan, Ensuizan, and Yammar Option X7(X): Explosion(Best), Volt Tornado(Best), Circle Blaze, Splash Laser, and Wind Cutter X7(Zero): Hadangeki(Best), Bakuenjin(Best), Gokumonken(Best), Raijinshou(Best), and Zankourin X7(Axl): Explosion(Best), Volt Tornado(Best), Circle Blaze, Splash Laser, and Wind Cutter X8(X): Drift Diamond(Best), Shining Ray, Shadow Runner, Squeeze Bomb, and Melt Creeper X8(Zero) Tenshouha(Best), Juuhazan(Best), Rasetsusen(Best), Raikousen(Best), and Hyouryuushou X8(Axl): Bound Blaser(Best), Ice Gatling(Best), Flame Burner, Blast Launcher, and Spiral Magnum

Dang. Not only does MM classic 5 have sucky weapons but so does MMX5, save for a couple of Zero's melee upgrades. I guess if this is a pattern with 5 sequels, then it might be a good thing we didn't get a Zero 5.
X8 Zero the air spin is broken. If you have trouble with shields just buy Sigmas sword which breaks most anyway. Also Zero’s long sword (which is an earlier weaker version of Sigma’s sword) is broken with the air spin attack. You said you weren’t an expert on X8, so just letting you know.
With Zero, losing his buster in X5 is no big deal. Possibly the worst buster in the series. Ironically, however, it became busted in terms of brokenness against bosses in X6; especially against Sigma's first form. In terms of story; it seemed like his original Z-buster was the strongest; with X presumably canonically adding it to his body. X's starting buster is decent enough, but it usually gets better with upgrades. Maverick Hunter X has two different versions of the buster upgrade; one from the capsules and another from Zero himself. Unlike in the original X1. Mega Man X2's upgraded buster is very good. Without doubt better than the buster upgrade in X1. X3 has two different versions; one official and the other not being official. The official one seemed like it had potential, but the focus on having a wall of shots made it inferior compared to the previous buster upgrade. Zero Project's, however, has the shots arc in as they are fired. Zero Project's is even better than X2's buster upgrade; which is saying something. In X4; there's plasma vs stock shots for the Fourth Armor. Plasma shot is cool; especially as it creates a large blast radius. However, Stock shot is actually better for bosses due to damage potential when timing the shots correctly. In general, I really like Fourth Armor's buster. Though the armor got nerfed in X5. Gaea Armor is cool looking, but never really met its potential. It should have allowed for X to be a very study wall. The armor's buster does fire rather strong shots, but the range just isn't the same as with Fourth Armor's plasma shots. X5 Falcon Armor has its own unique buster shots. As narrow as the shots are, they're useful for their piercing ability. I quite like the X5 Falcon Armor's buster. Even with the armor nerfed in X6 both gameplay and narrative, having the Falcon Armor for most of the game is still useful. It gained the ability to charge special weapons in X6; even if the loss of piercing's still a shame. X5 (in X4, you have to get it via a cheat code and in X8 was revived really only in software form) Ultimate Armor is generally very cool. The same goes for the look of the buster. However, it doesn't have the ultimate best buster since its plasma shots can't go through walls in X5. Blade Armor's buster gives a much needed improvement to X's saber swinging capabilities. Though he's still not as good at it as Zero. As for Shadow Armor; firing actual shurikens is neat; especially as they can be fired from the ceiling. Also has its own close range attack. Just makes you wish you weren't required to have all the armor parts to use the arm parts at all. Otherwise, both Blade Armor and Shadow Armor are cool; especially for their busters. X7 doesn't have much noteworthy in terms of buster. Not even the copy shot from Axl; which seems like a cool idea. Though maybe his most useful weapon is the one that fires like a shotgun. Ironically, Axl doesn't have a built-in buster. He instead prefers separate handheld weapons. The Hermes and Icarus armors have decently useful buster upgrades. In general, I think X8 has a rather neat armor system.
Finally someone who sees the true value of Chameleon Sting. Everyone always talks about Storm Tornado, but Chameleon Sting is so broken that it is practically a cheat.
Are we forgetting someone? A certain gun wielding Maverick Hunter who everyone hates? X7 mostly had Axl use weapons, but X8, he had unique weapons in the form of his gun changing shapes into other guns.
bro missed a thing Jet Stingray's weapon charge shot not only shooting a large laser beam, use the up or down button when you shoot the charge shot, it will separate into upward and downward beams, not so powerful but very effective
Just to let you know about Mega Man X4. Jet Stingray weapon. Charge it up and shoot then press up or down on your pad and mini rays will fly out vertically
X1: FIRE WAVE IS THIRD BEST TO TORNADO STORM AND SHOTGUN ICE! YOU CAN EVEN HIT THE ENEMY VERY CLOSE RANGE UNDERWATER! You can turn invencible and skip some puzzles with the Ice Burst ALSO! YOU CAN USE THE BUG/EXPLOIT SHIELD SHELDON BARRIER WITH BLADE ARMOR X! Even doh Commander Yamark is amazing! IT ALSO EXTEND YOUR HITBOX TO SAVE REPLOIDS! MYFAV IS ULTIMATE BUSTER + LAZER = LAZUR SPAAM! X7: ZERO TORNADO IS BROKEN! IT HITS LIKE TRUCKS EVEN BOSSES THAT HAVE NO WEAKNESS TO THAT!
Best weapons from the Mega Man X series (my opinion) Mega Man X: Homing Torpedo (Launch Octopus) Mega Man X2: Crystal Hunter (Crystal Snail) Mega Man X3: Triad Thunder (Volt Catfish) Mega Man X4: Twin Slasher Mega Man X5: Ground Fire Mega Man X6: Metal Anchor Mega Man X7: Volt Tornado Mega Man X8: Melt Creeper
I definitely recommend that you watch Magnus Zero's Weapon Master run of X4. He shows off just how powerful X's arsenal really is when you don't just spam the Plasma Shot the entire game. Ground Hunter is great for covering your landings and the charged version can let you throw it out before an enemy is on screen so that you barely even have to deal with them. Aiming Laser is great for taking out light enemies at awkward angles and the charged version just shreds through everything because you can move with the charged version active and it deals 20 metric tons of damage. So what if you can lose it by getting hit? Just take out every enemy that could possibly hit you before they can even attack. Lightning Web is OP. You can just skip everything. X4 is also the first game where you can use the buster with a weapon equipped, so niche weapons like Rising Fire and Lightning Web are much better.
I agree. He definitely did the weapons a disservice for X4. The game has no bad weapons, okay correction, it has exactly one awful weapon. Double cyclone has zero redeeming qualities to it. It might has been useful if half the enemies in the game weren't immune to it. Soul body is definitely not the best weapon.
I doubt this will even change any opinions but i just figured id mention it since i didnt really see it talked about here but if you charge jet stingrays weapon with x release it you can press up or down on the D pad and it will release a bunch of tiny rays going up and down so it does kinda go to the ground… that was kinda useful sometimes just saying…

If not for the invincibility glitch, ensuizan would be the worse weapon for zero in X6, your I-frame reset everytime you use it so goodluck if you are planning to use i-frame to cheese enemies with ensuizan.
I think a big factor for what I want out of X's weapons is for them to do something he can't just do with his buster. Weird angle shots, bouncing off walls, shooting up, shooting down, shields and movement enhancers I generally like a lot. It is why x1 weapons are so good, because each of them have situations they are good. And how much a single shot does I don't really fret with depending on rate of fire. It is also why i don't mind most of x4 weapons because they all shoot at angles I wasn't shooting at with my buster and reaching enemies I cant with the normal shot without manuevering. And I am weirded out by your x5 electric weapon take when it goes in 3 directions goes along the walls it hits and one shots a majority of even the toughest enemies in that game. And the first lightning bolt of the charged version always strikes where x is so if an enemy is on a platform above you it auto kills.
totally agree on x4/zero's best attack being Ryuenjin :-p first time i ever played X4 and saw i could play Zero i fking LOVED playing him, felt so guilty abandoning my boy X lol
If you mean the colors produced by the actual attacks; Bubble Splash is a very good contender from the X games. There's also Thunder Claw and Star Crash from the classic games. However, if you mean Mega Man and MM X taking on different colors; they manage to look both good in a multitude of different color schemes. A couple of my favorites would be; Fire Storm (sprite version), Rolling Cutter, Leaf Shield, Hard Knuckle, Pharaoh Shot, Napalm Bomb, Star Crash, Scorch Wheel, Play Ball, Chill Spike, Speed Burner, Triad Thunder (big favorite of mine), Frost Tower, Tri-Thunder, Goo Shaver, Spike Ball, Yammar Option, Metal Anchor, Ray Arrow, Shadow Runner, and Squeeze Bomb.
In mega man x i would say the best weapon is hadouken fireball. It one shots most bosses, though hard to aim and cant be charged. Its also hard to acquire and makes sense you didnt choose this as its hard to classify as a weapon.
Cutman was obviously unsubcribed to Tooterp, since he never used his brain to get rid of the blocks that were his weaknesses in the bossroom. He must have came to his senses and subscribed later on in the game, since the blocks are missing during the refight.
Damn, what's with the hate for the X2 weapons? Golly I recommend you to check out Magnus Zero's Weapon Master series, to get a better consensus on the weapons functionality, rather than sheer strength.
Soul body isn't that great. Considering you can use it and the buster at the same time, it doesn't really assist you that much. It isn't the worst weapon, (double cyclone) but it is down there. The charge shot while cool is pretty useless for actually getting through stages. The only real use it has is in X challenges due to them being kinda awful to play, as it lets you get chip damage by ignoring the bosses.
When it comes to the Mavericks of X5, I prefer to call them by their Japanese and newer English translation names. With the exception of Duff McWhalen.
If you are going to revisit Megaman X8 to go over Axl's guns, would you also be able to go over Zero's variant abilities for each weapon he gets in X8?
yes. it's easiest to do on PC cuz you need to be holding up then press down while holding up. you can do it on the switch but it requires some bizarre hand movement
I guess I'll rank the EX Skills and forms Z2: Thanks to Zero 2's poor implementation of the Hit Priority system, none of these EX Skills have the boss shredding power of their Zero 3 and 4 counterparts. For this reason, I'm awarding Sengatotsu the number one spot. Being able to dash slash without losing momentum is nice and it's not like it had much competition. Z3: Zero 3's non-Buster EX Skills all absolutely slap and they're all capable of totally annihilating bosses when used in proper sequence thanks to the revamped Hit Priority system. However, Tenshouzan is an absolute staple of combos and it has some niche stage use in hitting enemies above you, and this is sll without even including the busted chip combo. Z4: Most of these EX Skills are the same as Zero 3's, but are elemental by default. This makes Noble Mandrago's skill Tsuibangeki better because it also has solid utility both in bosses and outside them and is neutral element so it's consistently good. ZX1: Hx, no question. It deals enormous damage and has the best mobility in the game. This is Harpuia's revenge for being clowned on in Zero 1. ZXA: Most of the Pseudoroid forms are absolutely mid and Siarnaq and Thetis are pitiful in comparison to Px and Lx. Model A is the base form so obviously it doesn't count, so we're left with Aeolus, Atlas, and Vent/Aile as options. Vent/Aile have combos, Aeolus' damage is still good and he still has the best mobility in the game, and Atlas has solid damage. I think if I had to choose, I would pick Aeolus for his superior versatility but I can definitely see the case for Vent/Aile.
I still think Storm Tornado is the most busted weapon of MMX. It beats mini bosses. It’s a little slow on big minions. And you can shoot it and dash along side it through all the small bad guys. And the game doesn’t incentivize you to go to to sting chameleon early but Storm Eagle yeah you’ll have this move like all game. It’s like Buzz saw from Megaman in that last regard.
What about Axl? Even though he has similar weapons as X in X7, his weapons in X8 are different enough that they should have been mentioned. EDIT: Watching the WORST weapons video, at least it's mentioned around 25:00. I'll subscribe to that.
Okay, I have 2 major problems with this video: 1.-) What about Axl? His weapons are different from X's in X8. 2.-) You ask people too much to subscribe, to the point that you seem desperate. If I want to subscribe I will, but all you get from asking too much is for me to not want to do so.
Magnet Mine is cool as hell though. It's awesome for trickshots and all, and it has a cool sound. Splash Warfly's weapon, Explosion and Zero's tornado are all also really good because of dealing extremely high damage to enemies/bosses, particularly charged Splash Warfly which is incredibly useful, and Zero's aimed projectile is incredibly useful in some areas compared to his other stuff. Also imo all X8 weapons are trash (except for the Zero spin)
Unfortunately the later X games were not that good & the weapons kind of sucked. I kind of feel Axl should've been included but his weapons I think were the same as X's
This dude kills me. Every weapon that i think is the best this guy says is trash and every weapon i never use cause i think its trash he says is the best🤦♂️
I have never played the megaman x games and am a fan of very powerful and or useful weapons from the classic series. Given how bad some of the x series weapons are in this video, i hesitate getting into that series

It obviously comes from Skull Girls

The best thing about Frost Shield and Acid Burst, the first one makes enemies drop more health pickups (if not all the time i can't exactly remember the formula) while Acid Burst does the opposite enemies drop more weapon energy. Both of those weapons are criminally underrated in the X series.
I was hoping to hear about Axl's weapons from X8, which are cracked. My favorite is the ice gatling gun you get from Avalanche Yeti.
Sometimes, Axl gets the best weapons. Ray Gun is the best Optic Sunflower weapon.
I think you should also have included Axl in X8 because his weapons aren't exactly the same as X's weapons like in X7.
Agreed. And X8 does have some unique weapons for Axl (Only downside is that they don' t do a lot of damage)
Shame you didnt cover Axl's weapons from 7. his weapons are honestly better as he gets different guns and specials. That game was built for him
It's nice to see you actually liking Bubble Splash. I do think that the X series has better shield weapons than the classic games (even if I really like Junk Shield and Jewel Satellite. Triad Thunder to me is the best in X3.
With X6, I still think Commander Yammark (Dragonfly)'s weapon is the best in that game.
As for X8, I'm picking Drift Diamond.

@@tidepoolclipper8657 Nice explanation .
I enjoy your videos. My mega man skills improved the second I subscribed.
Very much enjoyed this video, much well , much smoothly!
Superman wouldn't dare even consider giving X the side-eye. Thats how capable he is.
Finally someone who sees the true value of Chameleon Sting.
Everyone always talks about Storm Tornado, but Chameleon Sting is so broken that it is practically a cheat.
Hey the SHORYUKEN is a STREET FIGHTER not MORTAL KOMBAT move
Are we forgetting someone? A certain gun wielding Maverick Hunter who everyone hates? X7 mostly had Axl use weapons, but X8, he had unique weapons in the form of his gun changing shapes into other guns.
bro missed a thing
Jet Stingray's weapon charge shot not only shooting a large laser beam, use the up or down button when you shoot the charge shot, it will separate into upward and downward beams, not so powerful but very effective
Just to let you know about Mega Man X4. Jet Stingray weapon. Charge it up and shoot then press up or down on your pad and mini rays will fly out vertically
The weapon selection in X7 is equal to that of liquid ass butter.
You can charge za wardo in x5 . Just charge your buster then change weapons. I think this is how I used to do it
correction on Dark Hold (Time Stopper) in X5: Charging it makes it last long by consuming weapon energy more slowly.
X1: FIRE WAVE IS THIRD BEST TO TORNADO STORM AND SHOTGUN ICE! YOU CAN EVEN HIT THE ENEMY VERY CLOSE RANGE UNDERWATER!
You can turn invencible and skip some puzzles with the Ice Burst
ALSO!
Dunno if this has been mentioned but Bubble Splash in X2 also lets X high jump in water, too.
Best weapons from the Mega Man X series (my opinion)
Mega Man X: Homing Torpedo (Launch Octopus)
Mega Man X2: Crystal Hunter (Crystal Snail)
Mega Man X3: Triad Thunder (Volt Catfish)
Mega Man X4: Twin Slasher
Mega Man X5: Ground Fire
Mega Man X6: Metal Anchor
Mega Man X7: Volt Tornado
Mega Man X8: Melt Creeper
Great video Tooterp. 😀 🙂

1:13 - 1:19 Bro was doing quick parkours
Do best Mega Man weapon color!
Most beautiful Mega Man weapon color, yes 👍
If you mean the colors produced by the actual attacks; Bubble Splash is a very good contender from the X games. There's also Thunder Claw and Star Crash from the classic games.
However, if you mean Mega Man and MM X taking on different colors; they manage to look both good in a multitude of different color schemes. A couple of my favorites would be;
Fire Storm (sprite version), Rolling Cutter, Leaf Shield, Hard Knuckle, Pharaoh Shot, Napalm Bomb, Star Crash, Scorch Wheel, Play Ball, Chill Spike, Speed Burner, Triad Thunder (big favorite of mine), Frost Tower, Tri-Thunder, Goo Shaver, Spike Ball, Yammar Option, Metal Anchor, Ray Arrow, Shadow Runner, and Squeeze Bomb.
@@tidepoolclipper8657 I meant the color palettes that Mega Man gets.
No wonder Zero overshadows X in his own series, his attacks embarrass most enemies and bosses.
Damn, what's with the hate for the X2 weapons? Golly
I recommend you to check out Magnus Zero's Weapon Master series, to get a better consensus on the weapons functionality, rather than sheer strength.
If you are going to revisit Megaman X8 to go over Axl's guns, would you also be able to go over Zero's variant abilities for each weapon he gets in X8?
where is Axl's weapons on X8 my good sir?
I remember zero can fly using a weapon on x8
yes. it's easiest to do on PC cuz you need to be holding up then press down while holding up. you can do it on the switch but it requires some bizarre hand movement
Lmao
Armored armadillo rolling shield 🛡️ is GOATED for PVP block and goes through most proyectiles
I guess I'll rank the EX Skills and forms
Z2: Thanks to Zero 2's poor implementation of the Hit Priority system, none of these EX Skills have the boss shredding power of their Zero 3 and 4 counterparts.
I’m guessing you didn’t get Zero’s weapons in X8? Because if you did you’d know he essentially becomes Akuma from Street Fighter
great video i like it
What about Axl? Even though he has similar weapons as X in X7, his weapons in X8 are different enough that they should have been mentioned.
EDIT: Watching the WORST weapons video, at least it's mentioned around 25:00. I'll subscribe to that.
Finally!
Why didn't you include Axl's weapons in X8?
Whatever kills Flame Hyenard quickest is the best weapon in the series, change my mind.
Can we get a “best technique” from Gravity Circuit?
Looks like someone didn't play Maverick Hunter X with the versions of the weapons there.
I don't really disagree about any of them other than maybe X2, claw and flame are both realllllly good.
Who would have thought that bubbles are the strongest weapon in x2
I like the charge shot shyoruken because like mortal kombat lol funny man
Okay, I have 2 major problems with this video:
1.-) What about Axl? His weapons are different from X's in X8.
2.-) You ask people too much to subscribe, to the point that you seem desperate. If I want to subscribe I will, but all you get from asking too much is for me to not want to do so.
The point of junk man's charge shot is to grind E tanks
You can get the arm part in x2 without any weapons or upgrades
Bro said any fighting game for shoryuken reference except the game it belongs to 💀
Good video tho don't know why it's so low on likes
The tornado is definitely best weapon in X
Just like how mega Man 5 on the nes having the orst weapons.
What about Axl?
43:25 😂😂😂
"...and share it with your friends." You don't know your audience.
RIP Axl's weapons
Magnet Mine is cool as hell though. It's awesome for trickshots and all, and it has a cool sound. Splash Warfly's weapon, Explosion and Zero's tornado are all also really good because of dealing extremely high damage to enemies/bosses, particularly charged Splash Warfly which is incredibly useful, and Zero's aimed projectile is incredibly useful in some areas compared to his other stuff. Also imo all X8 weapons are trash (except for the Zero spin)
And let me guess you like the haduken because of call of duty warzone lol
I WAS wondering why you showed your face a game early, so don’t worry about assuming
The shoryuken comment and then saying I like it cuz I like mortal kombat gave me cancer
Heck yeah.
When u gona play street fighter x megaman
damn watched x1 section and already heard the worst takes ever. Impressed
shotyouken is not in mortal kombat
Unfortunately the later X games were not that good & the weapons kind of sucked. I kind of feel Axl should've been included but his weapons I think were the same as X's
Not in X7 lol
This dude kills me. Every weapon that i think is the best this guy says is trash and every weapon i never use cause i think its trash he says is the best🤦♂️
is it bad that i screamed finally
I have never played the megaman x games and am a fan of very powerful and or useful weapons from the classic series. Given how bad some of the x series weapons are in this video, i hesitate getting into that series
Finally
do it
wat abat mageman x9.
i am a kid
