Here’s my take, on the worst Ride Chaser Levels from each game Overdrive Ostrich > Ride Boarski > Jet Stingray > Volt Kracken > Avalanche Yeti > Gigavolt Man-o-War Props to X1, X3, and X6 not having any Ride Chaser levels that’s the fun trivia for today!
Not that you'll go back and play it, but the door in the intro level in X7 actually is pretty easy. All you have to do is lock on and shoot the appropriate node when it turns red, and rinse and repeat.
@@agentblackbird9435 ikr,the piano in the beginning building up gives me "LET'S GOOOOO" energy, like downing redbulls while watching anime type of energy
Merry (early) Christmas! May you be jolly. Volt Kraken and Shield Sheldon are both underrated, in my opinion. The idea of combining puzzles with dodging respawning enemies is fun and both of their non-puzzle segments are good (Kraken has the only great ride chaser section, forcing you to learn how to play well without overstaying it's welcome while Sheldon has the laser part afterwards with rescues that has some fun rope platforming). Metal Shark is fun and the X7 wall is easy (but boring)
I lost my mom friday and i didnt wanna watch any movie or series becausa i was so sad. When i saw your video on my suggestion i was really happy to watch it. You dont even know dude, but you helped me a lot to think about other things in that pretty tough moment for me. So, thank you a lot and best regards from Brazil.
My worst stage ever has to be X6's metal shark player's level. There's too much waiting, even more than X5's fire stage. And you can instantly die and have to wait all over again. It's a test of patience and it doesn't feel like a traditional level.
I HATE Metal Shark Player Stage , it is slow , when you die you will have to do all almost of the stage again and get the Shadow armor is hell anoying , because if you fail , you will have to pass a slow part again , and in Gate 3 you have this part with pitfalls , omg .
Gigavolt Man'o'war's level is very dependant on if you have weapon energy upgrades and how experienced you are at the layout. With upgraded energy you can boost a lot more making it easier to catch up to him and if you know the layout you can kill him in 30 seconds
Blaze Heatnix not only has the worst X6 stage, but is also the worst in the entire series. Either you're going to have a frustrating time or you're going to save the stage for later on and obliterate those Nightmare Snake mini bosses. Either way, the stage always fails to be fun.
I think you forgot to mention the fact that one of the nightmare donuts is fought over insta-kill lava IN AN AUTOSCROLL SECTION!? I'M STUCK IN BLAZE HEATNIX'S LEVEL BECAUSE I CAN'T BEAT THAT DONUT AND I DON'T WANT THE ARDUOUS TASK OF FIGHTING ALL THE PREVIOUS DONUTS IF I LEAVE THE LEVEL TO GET SOMETHING ELSE TO HELP ME!
Mega Man X6 is just full of mediocre/bad design choises. I even don't wanna talk about the rest of the X-series 🤮. (Decline of the qualify was noticeable in the X6 already)
Metal Shark Players stage is weird. On the one side i hate the fact, that if you get to the capsule without some parts that help you over the pit, then you are royally f'ed and can restart the whole game. On the other side it's actually fun and I felt like a champ when I jumped over the spike section in the third giant press room with no armor X. It has to be almost pixel perfect.
I like metal shark player stage... BUT, that section to the shadow armor on xtreme... wtf, I still haven't figure it out how to do it without dying lmao, speedster, jumper, rapid dash... I hate that section of the stage :'c
Megaman X6 has the nightmares to account for when deciding which is your favorite and most hated stage. As for me, I REALLY HATE Rainy Turtloids...God, when you combine that f.king acid rain with Nightmare mirror you got yourself PAIN. Well, sure, you can dispell the clones with the shield weapon but the first time I got pitted against those damned things...damn, it was REALLY ANNOYING
For Megaman X6 the worst stage is gate lab 1 and it isn't close. You can lose that stage in the stage select screen and for that reason alone it HAS to be the worst stage in the game. X6 gives you the idea that you can choose to play as x or zero with armors that you want and parts that you want, but if you do not go to that stage with one of several mandatory abilities it is an auto lost stage the fact that we have all learned how to deal with its terrible design doesn't mean it isn't terrible design. And a big part of the reason shield sheldon isn't complained about as much is because puzzle gimmicks in platformers are both common and good design in general. Not everything needs to be or should be run gun run gun. Puzzle levels allow action to be varied and can even allow for different abilities to be used. It isn't a great puzzle level, but puzzles are better than losing the stage because you went to it without the upgrade set up the game wanted you to have that it never communicated to you that you needed. Also the intro stage wall in X7 is ridiculously easy. There is a button for changing targets. You hit the change target button to the node that lights up pink and push the shoot button once... rinse and repeat.
For X4 I completely disagree. Jet Stingray is fun to play. Especially when you realize that when Dashing with correct time. It go together with the music. In both section!!
X1: Sigma Palace 4*. This may feel rather petty when the level just amounts to farming health for subtanks, but as you try again and again the time you spend on this "stage" will overtake fighting Sigma. Otherwise I don't think this game has outright bad levels. X2: X Hunter Base 4*. Boss rushes are kind of a given for this series, but this one in particular sticks out like a sore thumb because it has nothing else. If you at least fought Zero or even Fake Zero here I could let it slide but as it is now this stage is just a waste of space. X3: Blizzard Buffalo's Stage. The ice physics on this stage are ridiculous and it doesn't help that it's probably going to be the one you try first if you know the correct capsule order and therefore introduces you to X3's ridiculous damage scaling. X4: Jet Stingray/Cyber Peacock. These stages are what happens when you try to make a gimmick stage without making it fun. X5: Dark Necrobat/Tidal Whale/Burn Dinorex/Spiral Pegasus/Volt Kraken/Zero Space 1/Zero Space 2. Honestly I really don't like X5's level design, a lot of it relies on really obnoxious sucker punches, slowly waiting around, the complete opposite and just bad backtracking. The cherry on top is the horrible implementation of party talk (not tutorials, party talk. I've read each of Alia's calls in this game and they feel more like attempts at Metal Gear codec conversations). Even in Zero Space I was less thinking "cool, it's that thing!" And more "why was *that* of all things brought back?" X6: Blaze Heatnix/Secret Lab 2*. Blaze Heatnix's stage is a mess all around thanks to its nonstop donuts. Secret Lab 2 just has an objective mistake in allowing you to access the X route with the Shadow Armor, which cannot clear it without extra help. X7: skipped, I've seen what it's like and I'd rather not play it even in the non-US version. X8: Gigavolt Manowar/Avalanche Yeti. I tolerated the Ride Chaser stages in previous games (actually I didn't outside of X2, but I can see why players would want a change of pace), but here they just feel like a waste when they could've relegated them to substages instead of taking two whole stages. Especially when we have a new gameplay style to experiment with.
MMX: There simply isn't a bad level in this game, I consider the game to be perfect! MMX2: Bubble Crab's Stage, pretty lackluster with the only real challenge being that dumb fish. MMX3: Yeah I'll agree with this Sigma Stage, this crap is insane, they should have sped up those snails. MMX4: Honestly, I have the same feelings of X4 as I do X1, I enjoyed the entire game from start to finish with no real issues. MMX5: I can't choose between either of these as I consider both of these stages to be absolute cancer. Tidal Whale & Volt Kraken's stages, both of their stages are truly horrid. MMX6: Ground whatever his name is Bug's stage, if only because the music is a crime on the the senses. MMX7: Tornado Tonion, Snipe Anteator & especially, Flame Hyernard's stages. The last guy, this freaking stage and the boss Flame are freaking absolutely god awful. I never played X7 till the collections on Switch, and dear god, this game is horrid. MMX8: I do not know who thought making a stage like Gigabolt Man-O-War's was a good idea, I hope that person or people got fired because of this stage, what a mistake.
I hate Jet Stingray's and Squid Adler's stages with a passion. For MMX3, Doppler's Stage 2 can be the worse... if you hadn't defeated Vile with the right weapon prior to defeating the last stage boss or not facing him at all as the robots are far stronger
@@drgnslayers Stingray's stage you at least have some leeway, but Kraken's stage, especially if you are trying to collelect things is just nightmarish. I only remember the spike tower part of Doppler's stage being the worst in X3, probably doesn't help some of the weapons you get in X3 are just so...meh.
Nah, Sigma stage 4 is the worst one by far. Sigma stage 3 has a bad music, but it's good. I'd go with Tunnel Rhino, that stage sucks, tbh the majority of the stages in x3 aren't very good, they are just long hallways without enemies in too many spots. You are making a great case for the stupid x5 stage, but man, the waiting forever turtle underwater thing is just not fakeme2GOOD The ad won't load I'm sitting here waiting :(
Metal Shark Player's stage is my personal least favorite from Mega Man X6, not counting the Gate stages. And yeah, this is the next comment I'm sending to tell you to review Mega Man X8.
For Mega Man X7; I'd go with either Palace Road or Crimson Palace. Although, Crowrang's level is still not good. Not to mention it has the most noticeable respawn glitch in X7.
For me the HARDEST LEVEl of X8 is Hell , the name of the stage it is literaly hell , my problem with the level are not the spikes and the boss , my problem with this level is the end of the level , after beating the boss you have to run from 1 hit ko lava , like , omg , that is overkill .
I think the X3's playstation version is too noisy. Plus it was at the dawn of the BIG BOOTS era. Where things just kept getting worse, including the art, while the boots on Megaman, X, Zero, and everyone just got bigger and bigger.
my least best list X1: launch octopus X2: flame stag X3: doppler 2 X4: split mushroom X5: duff mcwhalen X6: blizzard wolfang X7: final stage X8: tough call between gigabolt man-o-war and jakob, but i gotta go with jakob
For me the worst levels of X8 are the ''Bike'' levels , i don´t like both equality , they are just not megaman x , they are more a race game for me atleast .
in X1, i gotta say is Penguin's stage and not because no dash boots. its just bland. you from left to right, then up, then right again to the end of the level. the only uniqueness is maybe the snowballs and balls of snowing rolling down. its very bland to me

squid adler's level is a vile abomination of a level, difficult frame perfect bike section, waiting to shoot the wall, enemies that are faster to skip then to kill so no fun there, and insane amounts of stupid locks that require u to break ur controller to complete on tight timers and if u can't do it in time prepare to do it over and over and over it just doesn't end, thankfully u can skip this level, x6 has some garbage stages msp, gate crusher but volt kraken pisses on them all while saying '' u wanted a fun level? nah we hate u and anyone else who played this'' this level makes x6 look tame in comparison

Squid Adler & Shadow Devil are the reason that the really niche 50% game speed option exists in X5, swear to god.
I prefer the X3 CD-quality soundtrack to the SNES version. Specifically the Maverick stages, and I think Neon Tiger gets the biggest upgrade there.
