Thank u for doing this episode! Keysi’s prelim gown was one of my faves of all time. Very memorable. Venezuela used to bring it every year for gowns, and they were unique for the time. Milka Chulina, Marena Bencomo, Cynthia Lander, Verushka Ramirez, Mariengel Ruiz, Alicia Machado just to name a few.

The T with Keysi’s dresses is that for nationals, Osmel didn’t liked how she looked with the gloves and he was “sensing” she could win that night so he asked her to remove them. As far as MU’s prelim dress, she had loss weight during concentration and the dress didn’t fit her well, Osmel had to borrow the final dress (from a local dress store in Venezuela) and cut the train as it was in fact a wedding dress. Osmel talked about all of the T on his RUclips channel back in quarantine was happening. 😉

I have such a soft spot for Venezuela (as I’m sure you do as well). I realize they haven’t been nearly as successful as of late, and it saddens me that folks are so hard on these queens (as I’m sure you are as well). They need to remember that their country is in ruins thanks to their corrupt, incompetent govt. I’m glad you’re still so positive with these queens, as they have to overcome so many more hurdles than most of us can even imagine. Anyhow, great video as always!!!
2017: I loved Keysi as a miss, with my favorite look of hers being the MU prelims silver/white strapless one. 2018: Simply stunning--Sthefany looked amazing in both her national pageant and MU! 2019: I didn't love Thalia's gowns, but if I had to pick one to salvage, it'd be her national's gown (would've preferred a sheerer mesh to match her skin color). 2020: I preferred Mariangel's national gown. 2021: I preferred Luiseth's MU gown, but her national's H&M!
4:00 Yes, during the 80s, most Miss Venezuela winners would wear the same gown from their national pageant onto Miss Universe. Some of these were from 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988 and 1989.

Keysi's MU finals' gown is from a Pronovias collection, so it's literally a wedding dress😭 I would have loved seeing her in the prelims' one but she lost some weight during the concentration and the dress was a little loose. I still loved her look on the final night, though.🙌🏽
I love this video! I do want to mention that Venezuela was even more iconic when Osmel was handling the local pageant. Especially during the 90's when he would only dress her girls un white. That era was amazing!
Miss Venezuela 2020 did have another gown for finals at miss universe it was silver! And honestly better than the red one! You should be able to find a picture on google or her instagram
The dress Kelsy used in the preliminary competition was a copy of Puerto Rico's Kiara Ortega dress the year before . It's a beautiful dress but not for MU
2:31 Venezuela 2017 was given a bad stage. As you can see she was already doing her walk performance but Austria and other girls are still in the stage. This didn’t give justice to her performance.

Yes mariangel villasmil did wear another gown in finals. The gray one with abhuge long sleeve. I personally liked the red hown better
