Good Morning, so I just wanted to say that with Garden Answers inspiration we just won yard of the month in my community. So...basically, Laura and Aaron just won yard of the month. The proven winners brand is just awesome and I don’t think I could ever do another project without at least one of their plants. Thanks guys and have a great day. 💚💚💚💚💚💚
Garden Answer thank you guys so much for inspiring us and definitely could not have done this without you guys. P.S. LOL we were like hold up not this month wait until our David Austin’s are in full bloom. LOL
Thanks for the updates. It is so nice to see how slow or fast plants grow over time. Especially when you are considering planting one and JUST watched the original video last night! Lol Love it!
Love the updates & that kitty Essie! Who just wants you to let her. Thanks for the video. I love how much you inspire so many people to go out and make something special in their own yards.
I loved your old garden! I watch the tour every once in awhile..loved that the side garden had a secret garden feel. Looking forward to watching the new garden.. gardens to mature..
It’s really nice to see how the plants look after they’ve settled in and grown! Glad you are planning on doing more follow up videos, I’ve been curious about some of your plants!
This will be the third summer I have enjoyed my sonic Bloom. It is huge and when it blooms it weighs over. I also have a wine and rose one that is gorgeous as well.
I literally just got two of these a few minutes ago! They were $1 each!!! I was going to wait until next year, but I couldn’t pass up that deal! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love the updates on past plantings. Really like to know what kind of plants are nearby & surrounding the new arrivals along with their position in the garden. Thank you so much for all the inspiration & enjoyment you bring daily!!! xoxo
Your mother's house is so beautiful. .. I have along way to go... of making plant beds around my property. .. you have given me ideas on what plants I should put... Thank you. ..
Love the update videos! It is so helpful to see the gradual progression of a plant. And that foot must have been COLD for the rest of that original video 😂
Holy guacamole, that Madonna Elderberry grew so much since your first garden tour in 2016!!! I watch that video all the time to try to decipher all the plants in the garden.
Weigelas are wonderful (we have two red ones -- "Red Prince," I think!). We have a great father and son gardening duo here in Canada, Mark and Ben Cullen. Just recently, Ben was discussing how important it is for our bees to have early access to food, and he mentioned that weigelas, with their early blooming in May, provide a wonderful start-up for them. Got to keep those pollinators happy! Keep up the great work, Laura and Aaron. Your cheerful videos make my day. The cat cameos of Russell and Essie are the icing on the cake. ;)
I'm so glad that you are doing this! I had been wondering how the Empress Woo hosta was doing and I was very glad when you showed it in your spring garden tour. These updates are nice! 🌱 Sometimes we do wonder. 😁
Gooodmorning!!!! Love the update on the sonic boom. My friend added three of them to her garden this early spring and they are blooming! Such beautiful plants! I need at least one in our garden. Lol ! 💚💚💚💚💚💚
Do the leaves fall off in winter? What a beautiful shrub! Your mother-in-law’s garden is beautiful, Laura! Love your elderberry tree from your previous house :).
You inspired me to plant a weigela last year (not this exact variety), but unfortunately, my garden center sells very little Proven Winner plants (and I have truly found their plants are hardier) and mine has hardly grown at all (I mean no real visible growth)! I hope it starts to take off soon because watching this video reminded me of how much I love the look! I love these before and after videos because it gives me something to benchmark against since I often buy what you show in your videos. Thank you.
Mine too. I planted 2 sonic blooms in fall & they only have a few leaves sprouting from base. Perhaps the winter here in Western NY was too severe. I am babying them & hope they'll come back.
Oh no your whole foot went in that muddy hole and I tried not to laugh but you always give me a good laugh I needed that too thanx Laura. You should do a whole video on all of the bloopers that you have on video even if it's a long one I'd watch it, pop me some popcorn, get a soda and sit back and relax. Love all your video because you are an inspiration to the world.
Oh yay!! I didn’t have the bio tone starter fertilizer when I put my new stuff in this spring so used my plant tone instead and was kinda scared it wouldn’t be good 😍 looks like I’m good!! Thanks for mentioning that!!!!
i have Weigela Coraeensis (Japanese Weigela) in my backyard and I was going crazy trying to figure out what the name of this shrub was. Thank you! Btw, this shrub blooms beautiful, highly fragrant, pint and dark pink flowers!
Good Morning, It looks beautiful. I have a few of those in my garden but in pink. When they have overgrown the area I will cut them down to about 12 inches to the ground and they return beautifully.
Can you do a garden tour with your old garden and the new people living there asking questions about there experience with the garden. It’ll be an interesting video
Lovely video! Yes, updates are great, such as this, seeing progress one year from original planting is a good idea. I just wonder do these come in colors other than red flowers . . . Thank-you for sharing:)
random Question I just watch the tour of your old house I saw the apple trees in the back as you go in the gate What kind of apple tree is that if it is not a special tree how did you get it to do that I have a Spot that I want to put a tree but Did not think I was going to get to until I saw those trees they are amazing please can you tell me how you got those like that
Yes. I have this plant and its getting really big even after one year. But the blooms are not as lush as when i first planted. Maybe because Im in a zone 4b in the mountains of New York
I have a beautiful Weigela, however, this past season it went wild with huge branches which are very long and they seem to be obliterating the original shrub. Can be cut these branches back and how short should be cut them? I love my Weigela and want to be able to enjoy the beautiful pink blooms next season.
I need a video on a shaded small nook. Idk what to plant and it’s at the front of the house. I want height in the back but nothing that is super messy. It’s 8 deep x 3 or 4.. it gets partial afternoon shade towards the back and our house gutters almost meet at the top so I can’t have a that gets super tall.

Hi, thanks for that video, I love Weigela’s and cats, you have a wonderful friend. I laughed at your dilemma, it was so natural. Deanne x🐈

Gorgeous plant Laura!
I'm excited to see the update for the Proud Berry Coral Berry plant in the fall! I'm hoping it did well because I'd love to plant some in my yard.
The outtake was hilarious because I was just thinking how cute her shoes were and easy she makes gardening look without ever getting dirty! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love weigelia!!! Mine have been attacked by weevils this year, after its initial bloom. I've got to take care of it early next year.

Thanks for this style of video I'm learning so much about flower. I never like gardening and now I can't stay out of mine.

It would be so cool to see your old garden now, if new owners allow of course
Good Morning, It looks beautiful. I have a few of those in my garden but in pink. When they have overgrown the area I will cut them down to about 12 inches to the ground and they return beautifully.
Hi Laura, wow you are amazing. Have a great weekend. 🌹🌹🌹
My first comment I posted before this video was over. I now have answered my question. Yes there are other colors. Thanks.
Gorgeous bush. May well put one in myself.
LOL - thanks for the added blooper - nice plant as well.
You should ask the new owners of your old garden to do a garden tour with you! I think it would be awsome
