      Nice 👍 I absolutely love mine. People compliment the LX all the time because of the front bumper. It's utilitarian and stylish.

    Nice video! The TJM was one of my top choices back when I was looking but I ended up going with the Dissent with a stinger. Requires some grinding and drilling but I think the end result is a lot more sturdier especially if you’re going to ever be using a winch. Looks great though!

      Thanks. Yeah, I looked at dissent but TJM was available when I was ready to purchase. I’m looking at a dissent rear bumper now.

      @@TheNonnell awesome! If you get the rear Dissent please post a similar video. I’m eventually planning to get a rear dissent also.

    Thanks again so much. I got mine installed by myself in 4 hours thanks to your help.
    I too had to notch open both slots on the passenger side bracket underneath as well. I didn't open it all the way, just hit it some with a Dremel cutting disc then smoothed it out.

      You’re welcome and thanks for the comment. Maybe that bracket is a common issue. At least you didn’t have to open the end completely. Happy with the bumper? I know it looks great.

    Super helpful video. I just finished installing this on my 2005 TLC. No cutting required for my year / model.

    • @TheNonnell
      @TheNonnell  2 года назад

      Nice! Hmm. I wonder if no cutting was required bc it’s a TLC over a Lexus. Another LX owner said they had to do a little trimming of brackets as well. Glad you didn’t have to though. Thanks for the comment!

    I Love the detail that you put in the video. Maybe I'll start making videos again, I just got burnt out with things that were going on in my life. Good to see your still at it, keep up the good work.

      LOOT!! What's up man? How you been doing? I've been missing those project car updates. I understand life gets crazy and other things can take priority. I hope you get to a place where you can continue making content. I've been getting a little time here and there so I try to do the best I can. Thanks for the support and I hope to see you back on your channel soon.

    That bumper looks perfect on your LX470! Looks very well built, and not too flashy.

      I think so too! I am very happy with the way it looks. Now, time to fix a few suspension and brake issues and see how that bumper handles off road.

    Bumper looks great! What are your overall thoughts of the bumper so far? Are you satisfied with the quality of it?

    • @TheNonnell
      @TheNonnell  Год назад +1

      Thanks. I’m really enjoying it. In my opinion the bumper is great craftsmanship and quality. Obviously, there was the slight modification we had to do on that one bracket but other than that it was a smooth installation. The only thing I didn’t like(not a huge deal) was they said the fog lights and turn signals were LED. They weren’t. Other than that, I love it.

    Great video and timely. Much appreciated. I was wondering if you had to do any trimming just under each headlight housing? I have been looking at the I8Hmud forum and they are showing that for the LX people have had to trim about a 9-12 inch bit just under the headlights to make the bumper fit properly and tight. I take it you didn’t have to. I didn’t know about the drilling the holes after its sort of in. That seems like a pain. Thanks again.

    • @TheNonnell
      @TheNonnell  2 года назад +1

      Hello. I did not have to trim anything under the headlights. Even if I had the trim pieces that go around/between the headlights, the bumper would still fit without any modifications needed. Yeah, the reason you drill the holes afterwards is b/c the bumper should be set exactly where you want it and those last bolts are for reinforcement and locking in your placement. As long as you have a small drill it's fairly easy to do. Make sure you have plenty of charged batteries. You'll love the look after you're finished. Best of luck!!

    Nice video man, I’m wanting this front bumper for my 100 soon, love that M18 with the start loosening, I had one and probably should have kept it! It was a beast for sure!

      Thanks for the comment! As far as the bumper, you won’t be disappointed. I’ve really enjoyed having it on for the looks and practicality of it off-road. Overall, it’s very well built and I’m sure will last a lifetime. Just know, I was told 8 weeks and it was 12 weeks before I got mine. Other than that, it was a great buy. Best of luck!

    I might have missed it in the video, but what was the total install time?

    • @TheNonnell
      @TheNonnell  2 года назад +1

      Hey. I think I forgot to put that in the video. Start to finish it took us 10 hours. I’m sure it can be completed in less time, but since we had to do modifications for fitment, it caused us to go a little longer. Hope that helps!

    It’s still missing the bottom headlight plastic strips. It would cover the gap more and separate your headlights low beam and high beams. Other than that look great!
